  1. cheers for that sleepy, will do that to. Same as you, I am a huge rattle nazi... :@ None of my mates can hear it supposedly but I think its bloody loud lol
  2. They did leave lots of shit in my steerwheel the scumbags lol... But none of that heavy enough to make that sound After driving last night, sounds more like its coming from the right air vent... the one between the driver right and the demisters (just above the driver right)... I took out the plastic cover and shoved my hand in as far as I could go but nothing... Will have to take off the plastic face... will go look for the DIY now
  3. ah thanks for that gumflapper... I will try that in the morning becuase I oringally held the keys while driving becuase I thought that was the rattle (The new alarm remote)... Cheers for the mini tut hehe... will try that in the morning; I bet you are spot on! cheers again
  4. Hey guys My car doesn't quite compare to you folks, but I do love my car. I love the stanard look so have tried very hard to keep the car as stanard as possible. I don't like my wheels of course but I can't change them for sometime... I did have a TRIAL front on there but it was just way to low for comfort - 85mm. I had my friend modify the front spoiler for me. This was the original front: The car now looks like: Sorry mine isn't to much to show, but someone out there might just like it as I do! (My friends flame me for having my trial front modified)
  5. I have tried bumping the dash, the wheel and all around that area... nothing... Iv even tried shaking it pretty hard lol... dont want to do it to hard though... Nothing... This rattle is a stealthy little rat :@ And yeh, I'm definitley not keen on going back to autobarn...
  6. Hey guys I'v had my skyline now for about 6 months, I really love it, drives nicely and my misses loves it 2 weeks ago I had an alarm installed by autobarn. They did a good job it works well and they didnt leave to much of a mess... haha. I took it back 2 days later becuase I noticed a rattle near the ignition (They put a hole near my ignition for LED light). They said they fixed it. Tonight, driving home on a smooth road, I could hear the rattle... God its shitting me off. It sounds like a screw is just sitting somewhere, completely out of its socket. Just sitting there. I ain't going back to autobarn as its a fair drive away to be told they have already fixed the rattle... Any tips on where to look and any tips on taking off panels. I'v never taken a single panel off the car as my interior is very clean and I dont want to snap any clips etc... Any tips/suggestions at all is appreciated... A bit stuck on what to do next.
  7. Man that fails hard... Idiot's that don't know how to get jobs. I had my car broken into a new years eve (The day before my proposal to my girlfriend) and I was up talking to the cops from 1am - 4am.... 3 15 year olds broke into my car, alarm went off so I ran outside... they legged it after wrecking my door and -RIPPING- my steering wheel off. They RIPPED it off.. boss kit = threaded... They left the wheel in the car to... Dead beats
  8. Hey guys... Just got my car, decided to take a few photos. It's a bit dark but I'll get better ones tomorrow or the day after Thanks for taking the time to look... Some of the paint looks runny, but thats becuase the camera was using the flash. I'd like to get some 17's or 18's for this in the near future. Richie
  9. Hey guys I have been reading many of the posts about exhausts and extrators on here, but I think I need to post my own thread just to clear some things up for myself. I'm really new to skylines (Owned one since 6 hours ago haha). My exhaust makes a rattle between 3.5k and 4k revs... it really friggen annoys the crap out of me... sounds so terrible... I currently have the stock exhaust system on. I'm not after a loud car. I want something that sounds pretty deep and quiet at low revs, but when I put my foot down a bit, it be nice to hear that rumble... again, loud though... (I hope this isn't confusing, it's hard to explain). I'm thinking by adding extrators that to the stock exhaust that could be all I'm after for sound wise? Also... That rattle... most likely the cat? If I took my car down to the local exhaust specialists, what sort of pricing should I be after? What are the price ranges on extrators + installment as well as cat + install... Sorry for the basic questions, but doing a little research on here could save me a bit of money... Thanks for your time
  10. That must be it... Becuase the exhaust is really nice/quiet/rublish until EXACTLY 3.5-4k rpm. The second it gets above or below that, no rattle. Took it on the highway to 6k rpm... no rattle. The guy was in the car with me, so can't test it to hard haha. Anyways, thanks for the reply, and thanks for the welcome.
  11. Hey guys, I have always wanted to buy a skyline and finally I am looking at one I really like. The car is non-turbo, which is what I want (I'm on my opens) purely because I'm not that into the 'need for speed'. I just love the look and feel of the car. Anyways, there is something with the car that turns me off it. Every gear, between 3500 and 4000 rpm, the exhaust makes this rattling sound. It's a non-turbo r33 with a stock exhaust. The fella trying to sell it to me reckons thats normal for non-turbo skylines with a stock exhaust. The car is otherwise pretty damn quiet. I love everything else. Does anyone know what is going on related to the exhaust? ps: sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot
