  1. If I knew he was gonna be there till 12 I would have come by. Xtreme turbo racing want $410/tyre nitto for 245/50/16.
  2. The latest HPI has an ad for nitto's in the front, xtreme turbo racing on 0414573130 or call jash at c-red I think he was bringing some in.
  3. didnt you see it lastnight?
  4. Paul did grant replace my intercooler pipes or did he just modify them?
  5. I'll get down there eventually, this sunday I'm pruning the roses with the farther in law quality time
  6. **** with this new turbo if I cant run a 13 I'm gonna give up
  7. Yeah, I'm figuring this turbo is gonna hit hard around 3500-4000rpm, instead of the gentle spoolup I am used to gonna have to leave black marks everywhere
  8. I might be cruising if my car's back on the road
  9. Nup
  10. Having brought my import in myself prior to the changes with a low volume compliance plate, I dont think I would go through the same process (although not available anymore) or the new process again. There is just too much government crap/red tape to wade through. I sent my import approval off to canberra 2.5 weeks before the car arrived, after 2 weeks I rang them up to see if it was processed yet, to which I got the reply no sorry you didnt send in a photocopy of you photo id signed off by a JP. The forms made no mention of it and they werent about to ring me up and tell me I needed to get that in to them. So my car got here sat on the wharf for an extra week getting covered in sea salt and costing me money. Its a long drawn out process and to be honnest you could end up getting a dog. Buy one that has been imported by a yard at least you can see it in real life and drive it before you buy it. Importing yourself you have to pay for the car just by looking at photo's it isnt the best. When it comes to buying an R, I'm gonna try and find one locally.
  11. Alone in mods with the turbo just going on I'd say around $6000 spent over the course of 18 months. Petrol is around $60/week, insurance is $900/year, rego is $450/year, tyres every 12 months, serviced every 5000km's... it would add up to be a fair bit. *shrug* Its my only hobby and my only toy, I dont smoke at all or drink a great deal (so yes I am boring)
  12. evening
  13. I think you'll find ben from hpi is running close to 290kw @ treads and still on stock internals. I think he's upgraded his fuel pump and injectors, but still on stock internals. Buy the latest HPI and read up on it, I think he's a member on here as well... somewhere
  14. Dunno paul... depends on tax return I guess.
  15. just tired of not having car more than anything.

  18. *sigh* well the exhaust guy will have it finished by tonight, but it wont be back to the turbo workshop till tomorrow morning. So I will definately have it tomorrow arvo and we should be able to roll it up tomorrow night @ SST all welcome to come and watch
  19. turbosmart 35mm ultra gate with a 7psi spring. I wont be running anything more than 1bar... maybe 1.2bar at the motorplex down the 1/4 mile. as i still have stock internals
  20. We'll know for sure today or tomorrow, new turbo's on just getting the finishing touches done. external wastegate td06-20g
  21. Paul, my car went to the exhaust place at 8am this morning. Grant says he was up till midnight working on it fingers crossed its done today... gonna ring him at 2 see if there is any news.
  22. hello all
  23. Ummm, I cant remember the thread I made up, I think the file is called dyno245.jpg do a search on that. If not I have the file at home, pm me your email and I can send it to you. The other thing I have noticed that my boost has krept up from 0.8bar to almost 0.9bar after fitting the trust fmic and the dump+front pipe.
  24. Update: turbo's installed car is at the exhaust workshop today getting a new dump+front pipe made up to suit the external wastegate. I'll be going with one that plumbs back into the exhaust gases pipe so that its a bit quieter than a screamer pipe... last thing I need is a yellow sticker Fingers crossed it should be ready tonight and we can roll it onto the dyno tonight.
