  1. har har har paulie One day when I left work I got it to break traction in first going sideways out the carpark, reved it hard slipped the clutch and slide out the carpark. Another time I overtook some slow bastard heading onto roe highway, ended up slowing down when I hit about 180km/hr My car see's higher than 3000rpm generally... but most of my driving is done in peak hour traffic so its just a gentle drive
  2. I've got plenty of grip cos I dont hammer my tyres although since finding out about this turbo being a bit fubar I have given the car a bit more a hiding lately.

  6. Yeah. I get the feeling as soon as I change management I'll be needing some 550cc injectors and a better fuel pump. Whats a reasonably cheap set of injectors cost?

  10. In the latest HPI mag a guy crammed a rb25det into a silvia. Got it to run 11's with a trust td06-25g turbo running 1.8bar on stock internals and stock fuel pump. Got an 11 out of it before it went bang, obviously. Its now being rebuilt pistons rods etc, but he's planning on putting on 2 gt2530's too.... might be something to keep your eye on paul if you want to go down that path.

  12. BP is crap, steve reckons u98 is very inconsistent. the shell optimax is meant to be much better, shame we cant get it yet. Mind you in japan they have 100octane fuel on pump.
  13. Should be. The car goes in tuesday to have old turbo removed and new turbo bolted on, new braided oil line put in and old water line blocked off. Then wednesday (maybe tuesdau arvo depends on how long it takes grant) it's off to the exhaust shop to get a custom made dump+front pipe made up with a seperate wastegate line rejoining just before the cat. Dont want no cop bait screamer

  15. we have a car running a stock intercooler with a powerfc making 260+ hp on a dyno dynamics with no detonation. from a budget point of view the fmic is a myth unless you intend on changing the turbo or want to do track work.

  17. Yeah, we'll see how it all pans out. Grant is confident his repairs on the turbo will have no negative effect, only the dyno will tell
  18. Its quite hard to chip an r33, the chip that stores the maps is also the microprocessor for the ecu. My suggestion's would be: full turbo back exhaust bleed valve set to around 10-12psi powerfc or wolf3d ecu That would have you up and around 250-270hp, depending on the dyno which would make for an entertaining ride. A bonus of the wolf3d over the powerfc is that it has boost control built in, so you can do it more reliably than the bleed valve.
  19. Make sure all the silicon hoses use to join the pipes are tight and someone didnt put a screwdrive through one of them.
