  1. Id say hold off the quad tips till your get an aggressive stance happening, it wont suit a stock or even stock-ish coupe. Stick with two, just get new tips that you like welded on.
  2. Good work mate, wish you all the best .....BUT, those rims? i guess each to their own, as long as you like it.
  3. DIY!!!....i did both the front and rear myself, took my time and made sure everything was perfect, plus saved nearly $250 bucks!. There are comprehensive DIY video on changing pads for the G35 on youtube!
  4. ...lol like your way of putting it. Yes, i DO understand there is "negligible" power gains unless you go into the really high end enclosed units which have LARGE dedicated cold air feeds. But im not looking at performance from these two units, more for the sound AND im looking at what's the best bang for my buck?? (Both systems are around the USD250 mark). Btw IMO, the rippled section on the tube is so small that the possibility of a circular air current being formed which then impedes in the flow of air is soooo minute, that's its not really a factor.
  5. FUJITA vs JWT POP CHARGER & z-tube (An Apparent Design Comparison) Ok, now, I am looking at purchasing one of these two, the prices are very similar that its not an issue. My main concern now is design, from what i can see (various pictures) is that the JWT has more components which direct more air to it. 1. The bit of tubing on top of the grill which pushes air towards the air filter, I believe this is even effectively directing air at relatively slow speeds, say 20-60kph. 2. Heat shield, this well "blocks" a bit of the ambient heat it also helps to keep the air which is being pushed in from the bottom "directed" at the filter. The Fujita intake filter is positioned much lower then the JWT reasons why i think they did this was to get most of the air from the bottom (through the inlet in the bumpers) and the lower bit of the grill. It does NOT make use of a heat shield (can be fabricated but I am talking about out-of-box-design) or the tubing which sits atop of the grill. What do you guys think? what I just said will have negligible results? Im just working from a design perspective to then help myself and other buy the apparently better product. JWT:
  6. still looks ugly (the gap is a little less evident in back, i know i know its for the air but they could have redirected it from the HUGE GAPING MOUTH). Reminds me of the chinese car companies who copy RR, bently, BMW etc.
  7. wow, that's just wronge! and what's with the gap! lol surprisingly that's how its designed and its not bad fit-ment. Can anyone see this kit actually looking good on a VIP'd V35?
  8. get in contact with a member called rs73, he does group buys for pads on a regular basis, especially if your looking at EBC performance pads. Otherwise call Betta Brakes in penrith.
  9. nice work dude!! Lol there are a couple of imprefections but i guess thats expected, the big peel near the right exhaust pipe is fairly obvious i suggest you do a quick patch job on it! If i had done it i would have made a stencil first then cut it out, possiblly get a closer/smoother finish.
  10. lol! its still there, looks like no one has seen anyone lately. Probably a couple of pages down.
  11. lol thats what really made an idea in the back of my head come to the front as a real possibility. Lots of discussion going on in the BMW thread about the quality of vinyl to be used. lol to me silver was what i wanted, but truly you cannot compare matte black to our v35s OB. Two totally different textures and surfaces. Hmm as for the bonnet and boot, i am an avid hater of the "my black hood will make it look like carbon fibre" look. Logically i understand where you guys are comming from and thank you for that, but its all or nothing with me.
  12. Amen on that!....i totally agree, its just that the price of this mod is MUCH lower then modding the car to achive the agressive stance (Wheels, low ofset, tyre strech). I was just thinking of putting some hubcentric spacers on mine . Maybe the difference between modding and tasteful modding is sequence.
  13. Ok guys im putting it out there to the community too, im thinking of wrapping my car in matte black......myself. Why?: -I have a thing for matte black. -Im sure it might be the first one in Aus. -Me actually thinks it would look good on a V35. -SURPRISINGLY the cost is not as outrageous as i thought it would be, thus the risk. -Oh and i have a bit of experience putting vinyls on roofs of different cars, inc. mine. -You can always peel it off, after a claybar and a wash its good as new.....yes i am using a good quality vinyl. What i want to know is what you guys think, do you have any advice, any past experiences, tips etc? Do you think the driver of a matte black V35 would look like a complete douche bag?? (what im most afraid of). Btw, if you have seen my car....err not much done to it appart from a drop, if i did get the wrap i would atleast get my rims sprayed matte black aswel......oh and cost wise? your looking around the $350 mark with LOTS of haggling from already made connections in the industry.
  14. Maybe try someone in melbourn? no one at all?...if you do get warranty problems the travel will surely creat some problems.
  15. Sorry dont know the mix ratio, but you can get this at any Repco,Supercheap,Auto1 stores its fairly common. Again to stress what funkymonkey said, make sure you flush the old sustem out, it takes a while but make sure you do. It took me about 40mins for the dribbling to subside.
  16. lol...your question has been adequately answered sir. Let the mighty search button yeild results!
  17. Nulon Green Long life Coolant (Premixed)...been using it in two of my cars, top stuff!
  18. chill, its all good. put up some more pics of the beast in the picture section!
  19. Nice car! always good to have a new member aboard....btw there is a special section to introduce yourself, but all is forgiven!
  20. talk to a member called g33k. This guy really knows his stuff.
  21. This looks alot more neater, plus think about it, it has much softer curves allowing for the air to pass through with minimal resistance(compared to the Z-tube). I do think that the JWT combo for some reason has the loudest noise out of them all. In terms of power gains, no breathing mod will give you a noticable increase in power which you can feel.
  22. Very nice! hope to see you at the next meet...whenever that is. (Soon thou)
