I got one of the Meguiar's waxes (can't remember the name but is in a maroon bottle), and it worked really really well, considering the amount of dirt that my car seems to get on it from being parked in the elements etc, it's had 2 pressure washes and I can still see the water beading off the paintwork, so that's quite good IMO.

yeah thats right, plastic tends to bend - mine is fibreglass and it just cracks instead of bending, which is why when I do replace it one day, it will get another plastic bar lol

I can't reconcile with 99% of aussie rims fitted to Skylines - they are half the price because they are all cast rather than forged rims and usually made in china. The other thing is that usually they are narrow wheels with crappy offsets. I'd rather drive around on standard rims than anything that Bob Jane / Tempe Tyres etc sell. Its like how a Commodore would look ridiculous with Ray's wheels. Anime stickers I could live with, but shopping lists from Autobarn on the front quarters, watersport brands / alcohol brand stickers = gay.

Well I agree on veilside kits (not everything the japs do to their cars appeals to my gaijin tastes), any non jap rims (though one notable exception is ROH Modenas on a HR31, thought they suited perfectly), crappy offset + narrow rim of any type especially in chrome Wide body kits with said cheap crappy rims so there's a massive wide kid hanging out looking ridiculous with nothing to fill the guards lol. Inappropriate stickers for the car (yeah i'm looking at the people who put Jetpilot stickers on everything they own). Resprays in colours that really don't suit, i.e pastels, e.g there's a sky blue R33 GTS-T done in sky blue with a gay aftermarket bonnet, GT-R badge and stockies on the rear getting around here, what a vomitorium. Skylines that are dumped on their arses, R31 look ok, but JDM 'lines look retarded. Stock R33 wheels look like they were lifted from a Maxima or something. Clear tail lights, hell naw!!! Neons or any miscellaneous rice shit. Autobarn branded seats/gauges/boost controllers/turbo timers/gear knobs etc, makes you look like you're a tight arse + questionable quality in many of their parts. Special mention goes to my best mate, who after seeing another mate paint the bootlid of his Cefiro drift pig in matt black, decided to do the same on the bonnet his HR-31 with $2 spray paint from cheap as chips. I've attached a pic, and yeah the patchy bits are the paint coming off back to the white lol. His current excuse is "I'm just going to respray the whole car" lol.

lol your front bar looks like mine kinda, which had pre existing damage, but in my ownership has collected : 1 cat, 3 bunnies and a roo @ 100 km/h (which in smashing the front bar more took out the RHS headlight but didn't damage anything else). Sif replace the front bar, thats what colour coded gaffa tape was made for 8) Mine also has the added benefit that when you park on something too low like a kerb, the bottom of the front bar just bends, because it's already broken

um I don't know what historical sources you've been reading/watching/listening to, but Japan was well and truly on the back foot when the bombs dropped - the main purpose of those was to avoid the inevitable war of attrition which would have occured should the Allies have attempted a land invasion of mainland Japan.

You do realise that the Supermarine Spitfire and P-51 Mustang both had a Rolls Royce V12 engine which had a two speed intercooled supercharger (had a 'scramble' type over boost setting to be used in emergencies), so blower > nawwwws

but if you could get an actuator for say 18 psi, then wouldn't it be pointless to have an MBC (I had one and got rid of it due to continually having to burn hands in order to change boost settings) It seemed that with an EBC even at the actuator setting of 8 PSI my car was boosting a lot stronger and faster (esp in second and 5th)

In the thread about fitting a Holset turbo (I think it was a HX40 into a Cefiro or something), the guy doing it had to fab up bits here there and everywhere to get it to mount on the standard manifold, which kind of negates the low price of the turbo in the first place.

ive been with Supernerd since they were G-node, and afterwards Blitz, and whilst under blitz most people found it woeful the speeds and pings are good for my location, and I pay 65 a month for ADSL 1 1500k 45GB, otherwise I'd go with Internode.

wouldn't ease of fitment to an RB motor also be a compelling factor? I mean the Holset's especially sound great, but when you look at the amount of stuffing around to fit one compared to say a Garrett...

so to do that kind of swap you'd need both front and rear diffs from a GT-R (makes sense), but the gearbox itself (in terms of ratios), isn't important?

fyi Scathing, I was meaning in my original post that he really shouldn't be fiddling around with motors if he hadn't grasped simple concepts such as petrol engines all having spark plugs etc. I don't see that as condescension, moreso trying to be helpful maybe? Its like how I don't know stuff all about suspension setups, so I don't attempt to replace bushes etc by myself. Otherwise I agree with your post.
