Saw PE4R on Stewart Rd in Ashgrove about 6:30pm last night, I was on my way to Ahmet's in my Stagea.

Not happy!!! I cracked the perspex when I was using the jigsaw to make the hole for the AFM a little larger, nothing too bad though. Got the heat shield in & the crack in it gave some flexibility where it was needed. Rubber edging makes it nice & tight. So far so good. Took some pics on my iPhone, went for a drive. Happy days. Then I thought to myself, "Hey, I might move it a little more. Oh, it isn't moving, I'll force it." Perspex cracks big time, as did I. I think the words I used rhymed with duck & bunt. I tried using Araldite to glue it back together, it kind of held it, but not very well. So I am off to the Gold Coast later today after my amp gets installed to run my sub, and after some more COD MW2, to go to a plastic place at West Burleigh to see what it will cost me to get this heat shield made up. The template has had some subtle mods made which I feel will ensure a better fit. And maybe now I can get tinted perspex. I'll attach some pics of the heat shield before I broke it. I'll post what I get stung for with the heat shield later today. Cheers, Adam

Ahh MW2 FTW. Got my Prestige Pack, the No Russian stage is awesome!!! The NVGs aren't too bad either, but then again I have used far better NVGs before at work. For a game add-in, not too bad. I'm sure I can annoy someone with them.

Next year sounds better. Less ppl on the roads in Feb too.

My missus scored me some clear perspex from her work. She had the template on her & the guys in the workshop at her work cut the piece for me!!! FTW!!! Now to get the rubber edging to finish it off.

I made up the template yesterday, now just to find the tinted perspex I want. I decided to not put a lid on it, as I'm going to keep the factory air induction to feed cold air to it a la the factory air box. I'll post up pics of the completed heat shield once it's done.

I've just installed a HKS pod filter in my Stagea (big thanks to Darrin for selling it to me) and I was looking for some ideas on how to make a heat shield. I make Homer Simpson look awesome when it comes to making things, so simple ideas would be better. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers, Adam

That's pretty good fuel economy. I fuelled up today & I'd used almost 3/4 of a tank & had got 345km out of that.
