  1. if the motor can rev to the volume of crap, 1000kw @ 500rpm
  2. I understand what you blokes are saying and I love the sound of and feel of my car when it was high in the rev range BUT to use it as a DD and get to hear it, you would be in 1st gear all day or in jail I will have lots of revs to play with that I can use on a daily basis .
  3. haha, Pete is happy, because Pete is getting close to what PETE wants Hold on , SUPER CHARGED I want one of those
  4. Similar to Jez If this does not work properly with the 3.2 , what about a EFR 8374 with a 1.05 twin scroll rear
  5. The good thing about this is, if I have to , I can change whatever I need to achieve the results I want or as close as I can get. Just about happy now so it wont take too much more
  6. So many different opinions When are you on full boost ? I understand cars are built for different reasons and blokes want the power where it works best for them, I just want it low and going hard ASAP and do not give a rats if it is less power than what I have now
  7. I think I must have given the wrong impression about power, everyone questioned the power I had, I did not have an expectation of much more than what I ended up with , I had spoken to the builder and he said it would be around 400kw and it was, 386.9kw. But I questioned where the power is and why it drops off. I mean you cannot get any thing spinning at a 5k or 6000rpm launch, a little slip and thats it ,( I do not want to disappear in a cloud of smoke, but ?) I guess it is because the boost has already started to fall off at 4500rpm , maybe also because of better 4WD traction and good rubber, I thought 380KW would be mad If it is a bolt on problem, I can change whatever is needed. But the main thing is to get it in the shop and see how it goes with the mods it has now and see if anything shows up on the Dyno. He has also used the PT6262 on his stock RB26 and is at full boost around 4300rpm , so he should have an idea how to get the best out of it.
  8. I am glad you fell off your toy in your backyard , giving Jez bad ideas like that,LOL
  9. That has always been the plan Mick. It will go on the Dyno to get another look at it and have a comparison Graph on the same Dyno for when the "final tune" is done Then I guess he will work from there, eliminate the obvious, hopefully it will just be a tuning problem .
  10. I'm with you, there has been some good thoughts put on here , thanks
  11. LOL 69 , always liked that # I have said it before, it is easy to close threads, don't read them and even if they do not close, you will not have to read the shit
  12. HI Chris, how have you been. I cannot answer anything, I asked, gave up But moving on and will wait for tests to be done and maybe I can answer the question.. I doubt if there is too much wrong and will be sorted for once and all
  13. I do not know , the Boost controller is functioning but apart from that I would not have a clue , if it is just a display or controlling it. Mick ask me to have a look at something and I will do that tomorrow. Only a week or so to go, so I guess I will find out soon enough ??
  14. haha, do you think I would keep spending money on the heap of shit if it was not my baby Thanks for your input. Hopefully when this is all over I will go over the thread and see how it matches up with the findings and hopefully a happy outcome . Get a bigger Violin, I can't hear you
  15. Can this be also done by the Haltech Platinum Pro, I think that also has boost control features ?
  16. thanks, give it a go tomorrow, just got back from my daily Do you mean "give it a run" to get the revs up ?
  17. It is too late for talking or answers, its been over 9 months, maybe it is going exactly how they feel it should be running and that is fair enough as the car is still fun to drive. They fixed all of the problems I took it back for, so I do not have to agree that it is all that it should be, even if I am wrong . But it's time to move on and go somewhere closer to home and get a second opinion to what I consider to be a problem, it should have more at lower rpms. The good thing about this was getting an opinion from a bloke that knows his way around an engine and has a fairly good idea how the throttle response should/could be.
  18. haha, you jest mate, maybe Mick could tell you if he could tell from the short time he had here ?
  19. Can you imagine what it is like for me, a bloke that knows nothing about modifying if you blokes are divided . There seems to be many things it could turn out to be, or combinations
  20. Hope your right I spoke to the bloke at Precision Turbo and he said it "should" not loose more than 50HP with the 3.2 . With some blokes taking these turbos up to 740HP with varied sized motors ? ?
  21. Yeah a bit of bummer I will still take the Virgin , condom and all
