  1. I think it does Chris as the check engine light is normal now....still no comms to the scan tool though....
  2. Chris, Checked the fuse box in the drivers side and they are all intact.. any other ideas? Further info... after my last post when i got on the car the next day, the check engine light did not stayed on and was fine until today. this arvo it lit up and has stayed on. tried the scan tool again and once again not connection. Checked the fuses on the drivers and all ok. Last sunday my left headlight blew (hid standard) and the rear lights didnt work unless the brake was presssed. checked the fuse box at the rear of the battery and a 15amp fuse was blown, i replaced that and everything was ok until the check engine light came up on wednesday. At a loss as to why there is no comm between the car and the scan tool... and one more thing my radio has been cutting out at times, got the mp3 player connected but once in a while the AUX bit does not light up for a few seconds then comes back on...i think i have gremlins in my car...
  3. I have tried my scantool before and worked like a charm. Today i got in the car and the air con was set on 3 and i could not stop it. I tried turning the car off and then on and the same thing. I turned the car off again then I was able to switch the air con off but the check engine light remained on while driving. Got home and turned the car off and on again and the light stayed on. I went and got my scan tool to see what the issue was but the scan tool now is not communicating with my car at all. Not sure if the wires on the harness is not working although the last time i checked the car with the tool it worked fine. Any ideas if there is a fuse that may be impeding the communication because it's burnt? Thanks Cristian
  4. Those "oil marks" are actually acid rain which usually happend if the car was at the docks waiting for transport for a period of time . Which is what my car had before i got it detailed. The detailer scrubbed all my windows and its all gone now but he managed to crack my bumper in the process.. but thats another story. What you need to to is get those blotches out and it will take A LOT of elbow grease....
  5. Well, can't speak about the r34 but i do own an FTO GPX and a V35. i can tell you the handling on the FTO would be a lot better in corners as they are great handling cars but to get the power from them you need to keep them above 4500/5500 rpms as that the mivec range.
  6. Does anyone have a copy of the navi cd rom?
  7. It is usually the fuel sensor, know fault check the US g35 sites for more detail. With the needle on the temp you can do some checking yourself. get the servicing manual and they have a sequence you need to do with the ignition and the pedals to enter into diagnostic modes to test the dash. This will tell you if there is an actual problem with the needles or the dash.
  8. Thanks for the link..but........they all talk about carpet and vinyl cleaning. THe ceiling is a complete different area as the material is not plastic and liquids can get thru hence why i was asking if anyone had tried a specific product...
  9. Hi guys, Just a quick question. What products do you use o clean the matrial parts of the interior. I am referring to the pillars and ceiling part of the interior. Do you use foams, sprays etc?
  10. it all depends where you live and how often you'll drive the car, notwistanding personal choice. I have a white 35 and i love it although dust shows up on it as bad as a black car, and forbid if you get a paint chip on it.. there goes a black dot on your white car..... in the end irrespective of the colour you'll love the car...
  11. Has anyone got atranslation of the fuel leaf display and what each one means?
  12. so the nav unit plays mp3s and can be run by the bose unit? Interest to know if you will separate as well....
  13. Quick question , what are the stock standar rim size for a v35 coupe and the sedan? Did the coupe only come with stock 18' or some with 17'?
  14. Well i have found my answer. According to the service manual, the v35 uses the SAE J1979 protocol, so if you are looking to find a handheld scanner or a laptop program ensure that they read this protocol.
  15. yeah... we simple folk down here....
  16. ecu scan?? you mean for error codes? lucky i can do that myself now with my scaner.. as for the filter and z tube that would be really straight forward...
  17. agreed, it is normal as i have a v35 coupe and a FTO and both are classified as sedans....
  18. well, i have tested 2 separate scanners in obd2 mode and both cannot connect to the v35 althugh one scanner has the ability to select the nissan protocol and can access all error codes for engine, abs, airbag etc. So now i have 2 handheld scanners but only one really works with the v35
  19. Hi, Can anyone tell me which is the actual protocol used by the V35 in regards to its diagnostic codes? I have just received a scanner OBD II compliant (including the VPW, PWM, ISO, KWP 2000 and CAN protocols) but when i plugged into my car got a comms error. Any help would be appreciated. Cristian
  20. Do you have the part number? Looking to change the springs as i fell the stockies are way too soft
