  1. Get remote start installed professionally, unless you want to risk this: http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=476556 And remember, never leave the car in gear when off.
  2. Thats good, but for the rest of us that didnt win lottery, loan is pretty good solution. I'm with Community CPS btw.
  3. Yea, good point, although spring rates can be adjusted on coilovers. The reason why I considered greddy coils is because my choices are 1. very cheap coils like D2 (cca $1000), which according many people wont last long even if just used for daily commuting, then 2. good quality basic street coilovers like TEIN super street, which cost around $1500 (apparently I could get them for less, but god knows where) and then for a little more Greddy S-type. Besides S-type is (according to their website) designed for comfortable ride:
  4. Daily commuting and just driving around for fun, often in hills and country. I dont use it for track racing but i still want good height adjustable coilovers. The stock suspension I have on currently is already its on death bed so i need something new quickly.
  5. I've been to Car Toys (import part store in adelaide) today and they have GReddy Type-S for R32 in stock for around $1770. Is cca $200 over my budget, but technically I dont have any budget anyway coz I'm putting it on my credit card... + they have interest free available so I may not have to use credit card. I've heard they are pretty good and $1770 is pretty good price... usually they cost over $2000. What do you think. Are there any other good places in adelaide that sell suspension I should see? I had no luck finding TEIN flex for $1500.
  6. Where did you buy them + are you sure you didnt get Tein basic dampers ?
  7. ...so in other words, "Which Skyline do you own, R-32, R-33, R-34 & Why?"
  8. Thanks for the link. Too bad they dont seem to ship overseas.
  9. Thanx thought compliance plates are issued by state governments. I'll contact them tomorrow. Hopefully it wont be too complicated. Dont ask me what happened with old compliance plate... i just need new one before i get busted by police.
  10. Been through all of these, lol. Had problems for first 2 weeks of driving with bodykit... accidentally smashed it on a carpark and fixing and respraying it costed $350 ... After that so far so good. Just make sure your suspension has stock ride height and you should be alright. Dont go too low, otherwise you'll have too many problems at dips and driveways. And dont worry if you occasionally scratch bottom of the front bar... noone will see it and soon or later you'd get stonechips etc. on the bottom anyway.
  11. My R32 did the same thing and usually adding a bit of gas helped, but on friday it got so worse car just shut down no matter how many time i pressed accelerator pedal to keep it running so I had to get it towed to get it fixed... its most likely ECU related problem or air-flow meter. In either case car most likely just needs some adjusting, which can be done at dyno tuning place under cold start conditions (which may involve leaving car there overnight). Got RAA to tow the car to service/dyno tuning place to fix it.They will probably fix it by mon/tue next week and then I'll report here how it went. My friend's R32 starts normally without pressing pedal. I dont think they are supposed to be started like that.
  12. Does anyone know what's the process of getting a new replacement compliance plate if the old one was lost/damaged? I still have the roadworthy certificate. Does the car need to go to regency again or can I get new one simply mailed to me?
  13. no worries Although remember, if you win the auction you have to buy it. But its worth waiting at that price... most wrecking places will charge you something like $300 for it.

  15. yea... these sort of exceed my $1500 budget + I cant find them anywhere. D2s are quite cheap... around $1000 if I remember correctly, but I've only heard bad things about them.
  16. Looking for: - Complete inner door trims for R32 - Roof trim for R32 (would it be easy to replace it?) And several other interior parts. If anyone here is wrecking r32 pls let me know.
  17. I hope you guys don't mind another "which suspension should i get" topic. I want to replace the crappy worn out stock suspension on my R32 with some good height adjustable coilovers. They need to be adjustable to at least stock height (anything lower than stock height is not good for the bodykit). I basically need something good, but not too fancy (I dont want to spend over $5k). What are your recommendations? The budget is lets say up to $1500 although I wouldnt mind something cheaper.
  18. So anyway... today I left my R32 in Wilson's Centrepoint carpark. I came back 10 minutes later and the car was missing the GT badges on both sides. Before I left the carpark I saw two emo guys just hanging around inside carpark and they didnt seem to have a car there... I reported them to the security guard that was supposed to look for suspicious people at first place but i dont think it will help. I'm just happy they didnt do any other damage to car.
  19. Spotted nice silver 4-door R34 today at 9:00 at Torrensville Plaza carpark.
  20. In which carpark did this happen? That doesnt seem like a work of a "grafitti artist" but rather some jealous dickhead with too much spare time, some gold spray paint left over from christmas and very limited vocabulary.
  21. Suspension sold The brand new vertex rear bar for R32 is still up for sale. It's also on ebay if you preffer auction. Starting bid is $200 and so far no bids: CLICK HERE That's almost $100 cheaper than elswhere. Need to sell it quickly. Need $$$ for rego and to pay off my credit card.
  22. Yea, lol @ price. And, maybe it's just me, but I've never heard of a pod filter costing $5k. Although it is a nice looking car. Love the paint job.
  23. Yea... i also needed boot release, so that might be why its so expensive.
  24. I'm glad things worked out for you, even though I haven't been following topic from beginning. Just saw pics on previous page and I can't believe there are people sick enough to do such thing. Next week I'll get Viper 5900 2-way alarm installed in my R32 (to replace cheaper alarm that car had when I bought it). According to what I heard it's the best 2-way alarm on world. Costs $800, but I got it for $290 from states via ebay (+approx $350 to get it professionally installed). If you're not too confident in the alarm the new car comes with, I recommend Viper 5900 - only heard good things about it. You can get it installed at Ang's audio shop or Marvey Tech. Ezi track looks good, if you can afford it, although unlike other GPS tracking systems there's no ongoing fees, so over time it's quite good value.
