Im getting my bro in law to do some welding for me. He doesnt know it yet but i need brass welded to mild steel. Is it possiable via mig or tig?

Ok, so im getting my bro in law to weld it to the piping, i have a turbosmart t-boost which i will be getting rid off soon for a ebc. I have a power fc - untuned atm, stock turbo, exhaust and now the fmic. I was guna get it welded off the turbo but as i am getting the ebc soon and the tune, what you are saying is that im better of getting it on the outlet piping so i think ill go that way. I didnt think it would cause this much of stir seeing as this is a turbo forum and i assumed people on here would have them in pretty much the same location as being the best position for them all. I have a a stupid question, ive just installed a fmic. It didnt cum with a pin/connection for my boost cont welded in i found out after i started putting on the piping. Ive bought a little valve that i just screw into the piping from autobarn, the problem is cos ive never taken notive really of which pipe it went into on the stock one, i dont know which pipe i need to drill and tap it into. Can someone please tell me or show me a pic. Is it the one that goes from the turbo? Please be gentle to me

Has anyone had issues unlocking there bonnet. When i pull my release in the car, it takes up to 10 times for me to go to the front and release it for me to lift. If i get someone to pull it up at the same time there are no issues. I can also push the little catch across as i dont have my front grill on at the moment and it releases it so i can push across the catch to release the latch to for me to be able to lift it. Ive looked at it and has has anyone had this problem and if so how did they fix it?

OK, so i got a blow off valve for free when i bought my power fc from the states. I went to instal it just for the hell of it. Ive pulled my stock blow off out and gone to look at how it intstall and the flange of the new blow off is smaller to where the stock one went. How do i get an adapter or a r33 gtst flange to suit a blow off valve that has a slighlt smaller fitting to where it bolts on or am i doing it completly wrong. YES i have searched but after 90 mins ive givin up on the search and thought id ask even if its a stupid question. so what i need to know is how the hell do i install a blow off on a r33 when the flange from the the new blow off doesnt fit where the stock one goes??

I can get get an adjustable tomei cam pully for my r33 gtst, i have been quoted 380 for it, just wondering is this an ok price or am i getting ripped???

Is this a shit turbo or a decent one. Dont really have a clue?? Or am i reading it wrong. Its a gt35r, stupdi question, but does that mean it is a garret? 56 trim wheel, .70 a/r, 84 turbo wheel.

So when i first had this problem i checked for the fuse in the position stated (7), it was there, but there was a missing fuse beside that. I put a 10 amp fuse in that spot (on the fuse cover it says its for the batterty) and guess what.......the ticking stoped and now im up and running. I finally have it working . Thanks people for the help. Im 1 happy chappy!!!

I took my JDM stereo out a few months ago and since then ive been hearing it. As i havnt put a new stereo in yet and have left the large hole in the dash i can hear it more louder although its still very faint. I cant spot where its coming from but seems to be near the heater unit in the behind the dash somewhere. Its defiently electronic. It beeps once every 1.5 secs or so. Ive noticed it more on cold mornings when its dark but not when im coming home from work when its warmer and daylight.

i can get my hands on another one soon(1or2days) so ill hook that up to see if its the unit or if its the car. Ive givin up 2nite, to cold outside. Ill wait till i get the other one and see what happens with that and keep you posted. Thanx for your help

ive only tried going to the setting screen, i didnt want to goto somthing else n bugger something up as it doesnt seem to be working properly

on the back of the unit - seriel num ecr33 010-2486 hand cont - fcc3 020 - 26527 i rem on the screen it comes up with version 5 . xx i have my stock ecu in now, i can hook it back up to get the version if it helps

That was the first thing i checked. There is no smell, i opened it up just to make sure - no burnt tracks. I can use the hand controller but i have only gone to try and disable the boost cont setup as advised in your FAQ, i get to 'function', go into that and thats where the screen goes blank but still with the backlight on.

OK, so the car starts fine with the stock ecu. This is a brand new unit, surely i couldnt have a buggered unit being brand new, could I???

So i got my brand new power fc for my car today. I hooked it up but i get a ticking from the reley near the battery. I also get a ticking from my boost solenoid. The ticking from the solenoid goes after 10 secs but the from the back its still there. i read that r33 gtst's sometimes have a voltage problem getting to the ecu so i hooked up a contant power wire to the constant power wire on the ecu to help with the voltage but that doesnt fix the reley ticking. The check engine light also flashes quickly for 10 secs but stops when the boost solenoid stops ticking. Ive disconnected the solenoid to stop the ticking but the reley at the back still ticks. On the hand cont it goes past the apexi logo to the menu. But it goes blank (backlight still on) when i get to the 'function' setting to try n disable the boost cont setting, so atleast i know the unit is suited to my car. Ive read Paulr33's FAQ's but dont get an answer for my problem. Can anyone help me please????

So things like there coolers would be okish? Im looking around for a good cheap turbo, i keep seeing these really cheap ones from there. i spose im guna have to get mine hi flowed. Cheers

Hey al, just wondering if anyone have heard of MonstA retail central. From what i know they do performance parts including turbos and coolers. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything on there products? I was thinking about getting one of there turbos?

Thats what i thought - bout saving the money. Im assuming that if the kit says "to suit r33", im assuming that it would suit my car, being a stock r33. Am i i assuming correct??

I have a 1993 r33 gtst, im searching around for a intercooler for it. If i buy a r33 kit, will that fit it. I mean will i need anything else? Do i need to modify the body? Are all kits for a r33 the same, i mean do i need to specifiaclly buy a r33 gtst, not just a r33 - being gtr etc....??? Als, how hard are they to put on buy yourself or am i better off geting one installed. I say this cos i can get 1 for a r33 for 350, piping included, is that a good price for a 600x300x78mm?

As ive mentioned in another post, my car has had a voilent shudder, ive just changed the fuel filter thinking maybe i could of had some dirty fuel. The fuel that came out of the filter was very dirty. Ive just pulled my t-boost controller off (turbosmart) and i have oil in both the nipples and coming out of the little pin hole on the side. Would this cause the surging (shuddering) or could this be another problem. Please help me.

The thing is in the last few months ive a had a heap of little bugs go wrong in the car such as i have something draining the power from my battery that an auto elec couldnt find, this surging before i changed the plugs, my drivers side window switch is knackered so putting the window up n down i have to twist some wires together n reverse them to make it go up n down, then they all touched the other week n now the drivers window wont work at all, i think ive blown the relay. 6 week wait n 400 bucks for a replacement part from japan. Ive just saved up enuf money to do a heap of engine mods but now ill have to use this money to get this other stuff fixed. The car is playing up with me n its hard haveing a nice car that doesnt work properly, my fiancee is getting pissed of with me cos every week it feels to her there is a new problem with it.
