My assumption was that all skylines have a small idle shudder, the revs bounce up n down a little but not enuf to show on the tacho, mine does that n has for the last 2 years that ive had the car. The car had a minor surge under power a few weeks ago so i changed the spark plugs and that seemed to fix it, untill y'day. Ill pull them out 2moro and have a look at them to see if any of them are rooted. I think ill give everything that i can clean a big clean as the engine bay is fairly filthy at the moment.

I took off quick, didnt dump the clutch. I honeslty cant tell if its drive train related or not. I changed the spark plugs 2 weeks ago, gapped to 0.8mm. The shuddering sound comes from the back of the car but it feels as though the problem starts in the front of the car, engine related. If it was the clutch, wouldnt it just free rev? There isnt any clutch smell.

Yesterday driving home i went to take off at the lights semi hard, reved to bout 2k and released clutch and took off, first gear reved to bout 5k, into 2nd got up to bout 3k n the car violently shuddered, not just a flat spot like a fuel pump overload. It sounded like the car was boosting but didnt have the power. i drove home the rest of the way not reving over 2.5k n trying not to boost it up. Worked fine. Just took it for a drive to work out the problem. It was fine in 1st gear but in 2nd, 3rd n 4th after about 3000 revs it shuddered violently again. It similar sound n feeling to when you bunny hop the the car not having the revs up when releasing the clutch (like learning to drive manual). The car has only a manaul bc which is set to about 11psi. Every thing else is stock. Anybody know of what the problem may be.

yeah maybe your right, ive just heard such good reults from the power fc, honestly cant find much tuning info about the haltech. Im happy paying US1200 del for the results ive heard thruout this website n beyond. Im seem to find that alot of people are using these units n r happy with them. Im able to find more info on pwoer fs's then any other unit i believe available for my car n needs.

As my ol' man says, wod ya do, shit happens. As i said, im seeing it as an investment. Think of what houses were 5 years ago n the demand to them now. The way i see it, mine will cost about 2k for the unit n counting, but in the meantime i have something i can use to make my car better yet more efficient whilst having fun. Im trying to be the devils advocate i spose. Yeah its a dof the up'd the price but tell me another unit that would do the same. Ive researched a bit about ecu's n found that this is one of the very better ones. Im happy to pay the price for it, if people dont understand why, fair enough but im going to be having one whilst they dont. I think i come out the winner IMO.

ha ha ha ive been searching and keep finding other shit n surfing, i can understand how they put the price up but i dont see why sooooooo much. Shit happens hey, the gov puts the prices up on juice for my car n i dont see how but it has to be done the reckon. The way i see it, in a years time or so the power fc unit will be 1200 without the controller. Im thinking more in the lines as an investment at the moment more then a toy to play with.

I emailed them last night, they told me us1200 del to aus, ive just emailed them back to say i still want the unit n cont but they wont be recieving thier shipment for 2 weeks. I dont want a 2nd hand one and this way i have a warrenty with it. They also said that they have a long waiting list so i asked politely cos im an aussie its hard to get in contact with them being the hours diff n when i work that if they could make sure i get 1 from this shipment. i hope this works!!! Ive seen them on ebay for well over aus1350 so paying a little extra to make sure its new in the box with warrenty is worth it i believe.

My bro was speaking to a chick from vic roads the other day n she said that with the new regs that came in a green P plater wasnt allowed to drive a turbo car anymore at all n with the v8's its a new power to rate ratio, just hear say though, i havent checked it out, the cops dont know the rules too well cos when he got pulled over in my car they didnt say anything.

I just buy these at any performance shop or would they come with the turbo?

Before i get flamed, yeah i did try searching for 1 hr but couldnt find (maybe im impatient). What type of turbo is on a s1 r33 gtst? Also when they say bolt on, does this mean no mucking around moving other stuff? Also how hard is it to put a 'bolt on' turbo yourself? Thank you for feedback.

The stock blow off would be still ok with an aftermarket turbo wouldnt it, i like the sound of it but if it needs replacing il do it

ok then, apparently this particular turbo i was "gunna" get was an 'ATR45', i dont know anyhting about them or heard of it. Ive been told it was rated at .70 - 600+ hp. It is going to be dyno tuned so wouldnt they be able to do somthing about that then? How much approx is a gt35 turbo n piping going for?

Hey all, Ive had my 93' 33 gtst now for about 2 n half years n its boring me. Ive been waiting for the time n cash to do it up a bit, now i have it(soon).Would this be suitable: 600hp+ turbo, new h/d clutch, f/m cooler, microtech ecu, bigger fuel pump n bigger injectors. What size injectors n pump are suitable? Is there something else i need? Ive got a 3.5" exhuast right through already n thats it, the rest is stock. Ive been out of the scene for a while n need updating if im missing somthing people are putting on to theres these days. This is n still will be daily driver. Cheers for the feedback.
