    Engine Crane

Can anyone tell me where to buy a engine crane from in Victoria please? Even 2nd hand?
  4. ok then 1. A vic police officer can do a licence check on a qld licence ( i rem this from when i used to listen to my scanner)so YES they would be able to see how many points you have left. I dont know about vicroads themselves if they can check it for you. 2. I may be wrong here cos i havent had a fine in a while but dont you pay a fine via bpay or at a post office?? That way it wouldnt matter where you pay the fine, it would still go to the vic gvment coffers. 3. I may be wrong again but a defect notice remains in the state of where that defect took place. As in your case it happened in vic, which means your car is still roadworthy in other states, just not vic.
  5. Yes this is true but wouldnt it be easier to hide from teh vic gvment for not paying a fine in S.A or QLD if they wernt linked then what it would be if they were???. Think of how many people dont pay speeding fines???
  6. Not being a smart arse but why wouldnt they be linked around all territories and states. What this is saying is that an interstate driver can come to vic and get busted doing 120kmh in a 100 zone all day long with only a fine to pay on each offence (20kms over being not that harsh off an offence. I find this hard to beleive. Surely points would have to be deducted!!
  7. Thanks for the replys, after some research i found out the clear goes on the outside to protect the tint lense from being damaged by scratches and splatter. Sort of makes sence when i thought about it. So i started mig welding yesterday, alot bloody harder then what i thought!!! Gota get some more scrap steel to practise on.
  8. $1 a kg i doubt it very very much!! I used to work for an aluminium supplier and we also sold stainless to some customers and i can tell you that it would cost more 10 bucks for a 1200x2400x1.6 sheet. More looking at something like 130 bucks of the top of my head
  9. Hi all, im gunna start practicing to weld today, ive got a new mask but old school type. Ive got a purple lense and a clear lense. I need to put them into the slot in the mask but dunno which one goes on the outside on which on the inside. Can someone please answer this really stupid question please...
  10. I have on my fully sick skyline haha SIKLIN. These will be up for sale soon if anyone is interested
  11. How many people that did well in school, eg go to the end of year 12 or went to uni, are the people that you see bashing/knifing people in the city. Not many i think. To me its the people that dropped out in year 10 cos they were bored with school, tried to get a job n couldnt hold that cos they were bored/couldnt be bothered. They jump on centrelink or get money from there parents to survive. These to me, are the people that are the ones being dumb and f**king things up for everyone else. I think if people were forced to stay in school, and get an education to create a better life for themselves, people would change. Alot of the people doing wrong are the uneducated people. People that dont have a degree or there VCE. Educated people seem to settle down have a family and stop going out every thur, fri sat nite whilst uneductaed are the ones that have no wife or kids, so no reason to stay at home to get up in the morning to support there family. Instead they blow there parents/centrlink money on drugs and drink n go in the city to cause trouble. I dont go into the city anymore to have a drink or let loose cos i have a family and mortgage due to the fact that i need to to support my family that im trying to build as do most of my friends. Maybe if people grew up and were more responsible in what direction in life they want to go, there would be less violance cos they would be at home relaxing with a beer watching the tv and unwinding and being fresh for the next day at work. Education means work Work means no time to play up
  12. Thats just a stupid thing to say, it really is!! "Tis best to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool then to open it and remove all doubt" Whats the difference in the place you live and be stereotyped and what type of car you drive and be stereotyped? Theres a little saying about a kettle being black isnt there???? I drive up and down the western hwy every day of the week and see all types of cars aswell, ferrari's, 911's, R8's, TVR's, maserati's and also skylines.
  13. OK, so 2 days ago i took my car to the mechanic cos it was overheating, found out it was a water pump, so got that fixed aswell as a new timing chain, air con belt replaced and top chamber of the radiaitor, he took the solinoid out so to order a new one whilst i went to work the next day. Now the car sounded like a WRX from 800 - 1200 rpm, only on idle and when i took off then is fine after that. I drove it to work today cos i needed to, not cos i wanted to and guess what, after 8kms up the road it oveheated. I took it back to the mechanic and he did a pressure test in the radiator and said my head gasket has gone........Have you had problems like the car over heating or anything like that. Not to say your head gasket has gone but the poping like a wrx from idle to just after i took off i believe could be a timing problem with my car as what i think you are trying to describe. I could be wrong tho!!!
  14. Can someone try and explain how the hell to do a replay, let alone save one. Ive tried in every part of the game and it never comes up with "save replay". !!!! I love the game, ive bought the xbox for the kids but i gotta test it out first hahaha
  15. Hey people. lets say im doing up a car, lets say it has some rust in the floor pan and doors and ya usall spots in cars, do i fix up the rust before sandblasting or do i do the sandblasting, rust, then paint. Also, where do places do good paint jobs out west??
  16. Man i wish i could play again, i used to train with the nth melb giants and have been involved with bball since i was 12, now 30. I started up a team last year and was just way to sore after games to work. I wish you boys all the luck!!!!
  17. And everyone knows that 80% of statistics are bullshit. Its unfortunate that people die driving cars wheather its a 18y.o p plater, a 35 year old father or a 80 y.o grandmother. Know matter what they do, its a fact of life. I never read or saw the 60 min interview but the only way i see deaths being slowed down on the road are 2 ways. The 1st being electric cars on tram tracks for everyone as what have been tested before in the states, but people could then argue what if a elcectrical fault happens, the cars could cause a nose to tail effect which many lives could be lost. The 2nd is similair to what the r35 has for on racetracks. Speed limited to certain roads(its the future i believe in 20 years), the thing with that is that you can die at 35km/h in a 80 km/h zone if you get hit in the right spot. The way i see it, people are always going to die, from the day the first car was driven it set off a chain reaction and now there is no way to stop it. Car manufacturers can put all the saftey devices they like, unless it can set off a huge bubble wrap around the car just before the accident, people will die. Its a matter of the driver in most cases of how the drive. What were the stats in the 40s, 50s, 60s, a hell of a lot less died then what they are now and they never wore seat belts. Yes i know a lot of that has to do with more people driving, but a lot has to do with the power of cars and the stress in our lives(trying to make the cash to survive). Alcohol is more produmanantly drunk by 16-25y.o then what it was 50 years ago so that can have a cause to it aswell. There are so many reasons that it is ridiculas to even try and make solutions, through the evolution of the world is the regret of the past.
  18. Im after a roll of fibreglass, approx 300mm wide. Ive looked everywhere on the net and just cant find it, can anyone point me in the right direction please??
  19. Im not sure if people have read it wrong but at the moment you can have 8 people in a car, as long as everyone is wearing a seat belt. Meaning 2 or 3 people per seat belt, not - all seat belts being used and then people also not wearing belts. The law will be changed by the end of the year though ive heard. From all the articles and vision ive seen and heard, not once have they mentioned that 8 people were wearing the belts, meaning yes the other people not using the belts can be done for not wearing them, christine nixon has come out and said there is a technicality in the law saying as long as everyone is wearing a belt, it is not illegal. Not saying that if 5 people in a car are wearing a belt, 2 more can sqeeze in even if they arnt wearing one. Just clarifying it cos the thread reads the illegal way.
  20. Can anyone supply me with or know where to get 1 from. Im mainly after the plastic shroud that goes over the top of the radiator, my outlet pipe that goes to the engine block broke. Or can anyone tell me, as i havnt looked around/searched/even really looked at the car, weather or not if i was to buy a new radiator (aftermarket) do i need the shroud? Could the pipe just hook up to the aftermarket one, or do i need the shroud for mounting? I cant drive my car at the moment without it. To much pressure built up and broke the plastic outlet, for some reason my radiator lost water in only 7 hours, gotta have a look why but i still need the shroud!!!
  21. Do you have the radiator and plastic shroud on the top of it still??
  22. Are you selling it with the surrond, not just the radiator, im after the plastic surrund part that sits on top where the top hose fitting gets connected down to the engine. Mine broke yesterday so if it your plastic part is in good nick ill take it the radiator and surrund for 50
