yer, im looking forward to getting some new rear tyres
my currents are totally had it and need to be replaced now (im saving for them, 265/35/18s arent cheap)
im looking forward to grip as im a bit nervous booting it through 1/2 gears currently, never no when its going to break into wheelspin
yer, if u arnet going to fiddle with the boost (i dont know why you wouldnt though) dont waste your money on a fmic as they arent needed
turning up the boost doesnt hurt anything though, and gets you better gains than most other mods, so im unsure why you are so against doing this
even with the standard ecu, it can handle extra boost
after i had my powerfc installed, i was getting very high knock after the first tank of petrol i put throught he car after the install
i noticed the dash light coming on and checked teh controller and it was hitting 120+ for the knock value
babied the car around for the next tank of fuel
got a retune (new exhaust) and still occaisionly saw readings of 60-90
a couple of tanks of fuel later, and i dont see a knock of anything higher than 20/30 now
im guessing the car was just working through the last of the bad fuel as nothing else has changed . .. .
geez, u guys get 200rwkw out of your cars easy
my s1 r33 was 150rwkw with exhaust, dump pipe and boost at 11psi
still only a bit over 190 with 12psi, fmic, full straight through exhaust, powerfc . .. . .
my bro in law got pinged by a single cop following him and "matching" his speed to him
funny thing was it was on montague road at west end between vulture st and beesley (like 150 meters) and then down beesley (probably 200 meters)
bro in law saw the cop so wasnt speeding, but the cop came roaring up after him
caught up to him at work and gave him a ticket for 78 in a 60
i cant possibly see how the cop would have had time to match speeds with him, considering the short distances and the distance off the cop was, so hes taking him to court
will be interesting to see what happens . . . . . (court case early jan)
saw a dreamy silver 4 door r33 in cairns!
i was so excited i needed a cleanup rag for my hire car
me and wifey both waved like idiots (from our light blue corolla)
mod the plenum (forward facing, hardly any piping, plenty of room for everything), or throw down the ubend over the engine (clutters things up, leaves plennum intact, cheaper)
i have front facing plenum
visiting the olds for xmas, so are up in cairns
have seen a few skylines around so if you see two idiots in a light blue corolla waving maddly at you, its most likley us!
drove up from townsville yesterday and we were wishing we had the line, until we hit the massive storms at tully and had to do the rest of the trip at 50km/h (took 6 hours to drive 350 ks)
saw a few lines in townsville and hoping to see a few up here also!
merry xmas folks
