  1. rb30 huh? OS Giken sells an rb315 kit to up your 26 displacement to 3.15L http://www.osgiken.co.jp/pro_spec/rb30kit.html Nice work btw; love this thread.
  2. Have you checked all your intercooler couplers and looked for vacuum leaks? This would be my first guess. If you still have the stock BOV, is it still vented back into the intake? If it's not still vented back, it can cause the same effect as a cracked intercooler coupler. Have you checked your oil level?
  3. I think stokesy answered most of it. I think the airbag fuse was in the cabin fusebox (drivers side somewhere around the gas pedal) for my car. The label should read something like "エア バッグ" and it might read from top to bottom. for the light just pull out the cluster like stokesy said and look for where the "SRS" light is and take out that bulb...it might actually be a big led. Hope this helps
  4. I did this for my c35, so it should be similar. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, don't do it. I don't take responsibility for any injury or damage. First you'll have to get the right sockets, i don't remember the size, but the bolts should be tamper safe torx bolts. When you're ready to start, disconnect your battery and the airbag fuse (just to be safe) and then wait about 20minutes so everything can be discharged. Now you can begin taking the airbags out. On the driver's side, there should be two cover pieces on each side of the steering wheel that you should be able to pop off with a screw driver. You'll see the bolts when the covers are popped off. After the bolts are out, the airbag and cover should just slide off. For the passenger side, you might have to take your glove box out, I had to. Mine was above my glovebox, so I had to take it out completely. I had an igniter under my center console also, so you might want to check for that. When it's all out, you'll probably want to take the SRS light out of the gauge cluster since it can get annoying. Also, if you plan on storing the units, have them face up. That way if they do go off, they don't shoot through your roof. If you google this subject, you should be able to get a walkthrough with pictures and the socket sizes.
  5. did you try a big magnet? I've seen some of the magnetic lug nut caps/locks for sale around here in japan.
  6. Thanks 666Dan. That makes things a little easier, I planned on rewiring the fuel pump anyway. I plan on putting an r33 rb25det into it around the beginning of next year, and plan on using the c35 harness and changing out most of the plugs. The thing is I can only find a pinout for the turbo ecu. Has anyone else swapped an r33 engine into an r34 or c35? any input would be appreciated, but if not i think i should be able to figure it out. 1400r, nice man. where are you from? I've seen a few c35's with sr's here for sale in the magazines, but they are expensive! How does it handle with an sr?
  7. is it just missing the boost solenoind wire? anybody?
  8. Thanks Ghetto spec. Do you know which sensors exactly are missing and what pins those would be? Thanks.
  9. Also, it is a 1997, so it'd be series 1. Are there any differences between R34 series 1 & 2 in regards to wiring? Any and all help is appreciate, Thanks
  10. Hi all, I recently got my c35 laurel and its 5 speed N/A neo 6. I plan to do an engine swap within the next few months and was wondering if the pinouts for non-turbo neo 6's would be the same as the turbo ones. I would imagine they would be since that is how it is with the r32 and r33. Here is a pic of my harness and ecu if that helps. and also a few pics of the car in question.
  11. Hey all, I'm not sure if too many will be able to help me as I dont think the c34 is all that common in australia? I plan on swapping my laurel from auto to manual in a few months and haven't quite figured out which bits to use. My friend told me to use an rb20 tranny and then a C33 5spd driveshaft will be bolt on, but didn't mention which tranny mount to use. I'd rather use a 25 tranny, is there a straight bolt on way for an RB25 tranny? Also, does anyone know how I would rig up the handbrake cable, since the one on my car is the foot-handbrake. I'm pretty sure I use a r33 or s14 pedal and maybe use the r33 lines from master to slave. And I know to use the 33 ecu, thats common sense, and the wiring is just two wires i think, for the neutral switch. It will cost me $3k to get it done professionally, but I'm trying to keep it about $1.5k at the most. I'm know how to do a 5speed swap, I'm just unsure of which parts to use. I can get my speedo sorted out later, i just want to know what to use. any help would be greatly appreciated.
