  1. Dude, there is a big thread on it in the members rides on TasCommodores. With heaps of pics from when I toured the state back in Feb this year. Wont be running those wheels again, have got some BA SR Falcon rims ready for these semi slicks I pick up this week. It usually has 17x9 Silver BBS Alloys on it.
  2. Thats her... Why you ask??
  3. Would love to but unfortunately I need tyres and new brakes first. Already been and sorted it all, just waiting on tax return to pay for it all. Then with a few extra bits it game on for the rest of the year...
  4. Spotted a lack of pictures comin through from the hillclimb... j/k's Any idea when you might have some uploaded?? Heading back down Hobart way in mid September so wouldnt mind meeting up and grabbing some proper full quality ones off you if ya dont mind.
  5. Yep that was me... Figured there would be some shots floating around. Especially when I noticed that lots of people with cameras had cottoned onto the fact that mine was launching at about 7k. Took me a bit initially to figure out why there were so many cameras at the start line
  6. Didnt happen to get any pics of that yobbo in the white GTR doin skids as well did ya??? Be interested in seeing them if you did. Haven't got many pics of the old girl out on the track.
  7. Well, took three days in the end but... Entire rear end has been removed, subframe bushes all pressed out and new Nolathane bushes fitted in their place and got back on the road Monday night. I have to say that for such a small change, 4 bushes, its made such a difference to the way the car reacts and drives. Bring on Basky I say, enry went in the mail today, scrutineering tomorrow.
  8. Blue 150mm sided triangle to mark battery location Metal Valve caps No fluid leaks Fire Extinguisher with Metal Bracket Helmet that meets AS1698-74 Good seatbelts (Not UV damaged or frayed) Good throttle return spring/mechanism Treaded tryes. ie: if they bald to start with then no run. I could go on but they are the basics. and yes I did do all the relevant training and assessment's to be a CAMS Scrutineer, just waiting on the Licence to arrive in the mail.
  9. Just dont take the cruise seats option on the boat... That was the worst two nights of my life when I went over and back to pick up the GTR...
  10. Racin before the event and all... thats competitive. Well I just selected another gear, bush kit arrived and was the correct one this time. Just arranged shed space, as mine is full at the moment, for this Saturday to fit em all up.
  11. I do but there are a few issues... 1/ Its got my 308 hanging off it at the moment. No biggy, can always put it on the ground in the corner. 2/ Its in Burnie 3/ If I do that you stand a chance of being ready for the hillclimb and therefore beating me. So its there if you want it... lol
  12. Well thankfully I managed to fit the aftermarket boot to the driveshaft. Looks like it will work for now. So as long as I can either get the bushes from Nolathane or temp up some "pineapples" I should be good for the Basky Hillclimb yet again.
  13. Well, rear subframe bushes let go, ordered some new ones but got sent wrong ones. Made some phonecalls and was told Nolathane were outta stock till mid July. Now I am told its mid August... So I decided to pull the front end apart and replace the LHF Inner Driveshaft boot. Easy enough job, except nobody has a boot that fits... Spose my local Nissan dealer will tell me they are about $90 each and 4 weeks outta Japan next for a genuine one. So the GTR is sitten on stands with bits missing everywhere and the Baskerville Hillclimb is on in three weeks. This will be pushin it to get everything here and done by then.

    Stagea 260rs

As the title says, anybody here got an Autech 260RS or know somebody that has one. I am seriously looking at getting one but am a little hesitant to buy yet another car without even sitting in one first. I did that with the GTR, never sat in one till I took delivery of mine. Dont regret it but prefer not to do it again. I simply want to have a look over one, check it out and see what they are all about before handing over wads of hard-earned cash. I know they are basically the same as the RS Four Stagea's but if possible I would prefer the opportunity to look over the 260RS version. Anybody that can help??
  15. Is anybody able to confirm the "correct, original" fitment for these vents?? I have been through the workshop manual, searched these forums and the net but have not been able to come up with a definitive answer. If I have to glass some clips on these ones then I will but it would be nice to know how they are suppossed to fit. Maybe a picture of an original one if somebody has one.
  16. I figured they should clip in as well, especially when I rang the company I got them from, re the poor fitting, and was told he would need them back so he could pop one out of his bosses car and check these vents in that. Bit hard to pop em out when they are sikaflexed in I thought. Genuine the vents are around $220 each. Strangely though the NISMO bar cover is exactly the same price as a standard GTR bar cover. Just it has dodgy cut holes that require real expensive vents to fill.
  17. The bar is a straight fit. Its on and finished. (Yes they have the holes cut in them, not very well but they are cut. My 8 year old daughter could hacve doone a better job.) Its the NISMO Vents we are not sure about. There is nothing on them to locate them securely in the bar, they just sit in a gaping big hole. Is there suppossed to be some kind of bracket fopr them or are they in fact simply "glued" in place??
  18. So after much waiting all the parts finally arrived, the bar etc has been fitted and we get to the task of fitting the N1 Vents. How exactly are they held in place?? We have some work in front of us making the ones I got actually fit the profile of the bar correctly to start with but once thats done the only way we can see of securing them in place on the bar is to Sikaflex them on. Is this how its supposed to be done? Is there some kind of fitting kit that I maybe should have got? Main reason I ask is that I was speaking with "somebody" at "the company I bought them from" who said he would pop one out of another vehicle to check an issue I had. Now if they are sikaflexed in I dont see that as being an easy thing to do. Have to admit that at the moment I am beginning to wish I had never bothered with the damn things. Any advice or suggestions muchly appreciated.
  19. I just happened to have finished reading the other thread when you posted up here, so Does this mean that you ended up having issues with those cars that had differing sized tyres front to rear?? I realise that the other post was 3 years ago but just curious as to the complete about face on this one?? I mainly ask as I did also get the occasioal 4WD fault on my GTR just before I replaced a set of rear tyres that were on the wear indicators while the fronts were approximately 75% still. Would flicker and light up the light in the dash just as the car started to roll. Have not had another fault since putting new tyres on the rear.
  20. 1.5 hours??? Did ya stop for lunch as well??? I recently had a small problem with my Bilstein Shocks, broke the top clean off while many miles from home. Rang a couple of mates and within no time had sourced a set of coil-overs to go in my 32 GTR. We had the old shocks out and coil-overs installed, in Hungry Jacks carpark at about 11pm in Hobart CBD. Took us all of 25minutes I reckon. Did the fronts at home the next day, by myself in less than an hour. GTR struts would have to be by far the easiest struts I have ever replaced in my life.
  21. Have to agree, from those pictures there is nothing rubbing there. Sounds more like its either tyre noise or wheel bearing failure. You may laugh at the tyre noise comment but believe me, I have seen and driven a number of cars now where you would swear something was seriously wrong and after swapoping wheels and tyres the noise simply dissapears. Those marks in your pictures are in fact impact marks and would not be caused by something rubbing on there.
  22. Mine runs 245/40 all round on a 17x9 +20 BBS Wheels. Even with the coils overs wound right down there was no rubbing whatsoever and I have completely stock untouched guards. Heaps of clearance to the upper arms in the front as well.
  23. Dropped of at bodyworks this morning to get new front bar, reo, lights, mesh, vents and stuff fitted. Gotta love insurance companies sometimes. its a pity I didnt have anymore spare cash or I woulda bought a new front lip as well so everything was new on it. oh well
  24. Not sure at the moment. Probably only head through as a spectator. Missus is a bit cut about motor sport after the last event. That and I not sure the Guesty would appreciate me destroying his good race tyres on him at Symmons.
  25. Think it starts at about 10am... and no its a one day thing only. LCCT has a track day on the Sunday.
