  1. Well i keep checking the boot, and no water. So that's the leak (the passenger side taillight). Patch it up, let the silicone dry, then all is good. Now wait till it rusts a hole through...hehe Anyone taken out the taillights??? I took the nuts off, and then tried to get the light out, but it felt like it really didn't want to move. What's the business with it ???
  2. Must be a common problem then. It hasn't rained today, so i can't tell whether my patch job has worked. *adds to common problem with r33's*, along with rear left shock always dyeing.
  3. dunno about the cut wire....went to 190 then had to back off *shrugs* i had my spare condensate as well. Always thought it was the heat from the exhaust (no heat shielding). The rubber gromets don't leak either.
  4. Just wondering if anyone else out there has had water in the boot of their R33 coupe??? I've had it in mine, and after a few weeks of sealing all the known/visible holes, it was still getting water inside. Then today found out it was coming through the welded on piece of steel on the inside of the boot, above the passenger side taillight. I couldn't get the taillight out to fix it totally due to all the black silicone stuff holding it in. So all i've done is seal up all the steel joins in the boot. Hopefully this works. ps. anyone else's r33 turbo go past the 180 speedo, with a standard ecu and no speed cut ???
  5. hmm interesting my 18's should be here this week 8's on the front and 9's on the back I was told by the wheel place that 265's will fit on the back (so i got them) You can buy flares for ya r33 from UAS (Unique AutoSports)(nismo.com.au) for like $95 each corner... looks alright too Damn these laws about the wheel sizes and zorst db limits etc
  6. Congrats Rep Good to hear its all going well, besides those little mishaps All the part of doing low 12's !!!!!
  7. Done it today, simple. Just was a little worried about breaking those plastic clips. All worked out fine Did find the dodgy wiring/setup that was done on my alarm from a certain place did. Thanks for the help guys
  8. Chris: kewl thanks for the info. Much appreciated
  9. Hey guys, no need to get agro !!! These are some damn good ideas everyone has thought of. I personally would like to see more wings taken off completely, but the cut down and fill idea is a good one, though without the drift wing my 2c p.s. why do some of our fellow r33's like putting a gtr wing on their gts's. Doesn't rear vision play a part in driving daily??
  10. Chris: ok, but what is there involved in taking out the bottom half of the seat??? Just take the 2 bolts out and pull up??? And then work on the upper seat??
  11. i know this is an old thread, but i'm after info of where/how is the best point to get the RCA's through the rear seat??? I've taken off the bolts to the bottom part of the rear seat (coupe) and tried to move the seat. This did not move it at all, i also didn't want to try and force anything as i don't know whats under there. If anyone could inform me of how to get the rear seat out that would be good.
  12. heh seems like a bit of running around, but all worth it !! sometimes i wonder where you guys get ya money....then i think of how much money i've spent on my cars.

  15. Hard luck rep Seems there a fair few of us around that like finding the limits of the standard internals of the rb25.....One of you should write a book "What happens when you have too much power and not enough strength" After your rebuilds, do any of you find it annoying to drive around a 250+rwKw skyline everyday???
  16. my r33 gts25t, managed .65bar with out the boost tee but that was a really good cold day usually, it was around .62bar. Also, this pressure is above 5500rpm

  19. heh yeah i been doing that too, but i like to browse/ look at what i'm buying In north Queenland, our club would meet up at the local AutoBahn Store, and have a gander at what they got, and most of us would be buying stuff. Pity WA doesn't have AutoBahn.
  20. Just wondering where everyone buys there mods from??? I've only been in WA for a few months, and can't seem to find a place where you can walk in and buy pretty much anything of the modified stock. like intercoolers, exhausts, turbos, electronics, gauges steering wheels, seats etc etc. Is there anywhere in town that is like this ????
  21. i've got a single din standard one as well
  22. left rear shocks in the r33's are weak...so i'm told by unique autosports if there is oil coming out of the shocks, its stuffed....also if it axle tramps badly, its stuffed mine went after a few times down the strip cost me 400 for KYB shocks and another 230 for fitting and new bushes etc but cos they fail in most r33's quickly.....there are hardly any in the country, i got the last set in the country back at the start of december last year... there should be a few sets around now try unique autosports (www.nismo.com.au) try pedders i had a good right shock, but threw it out a week ago
  23. i'd be in as i wan't one, but seems a bit dodgy to me xspeed seem to be the people for me OT: seems there's a lot of r33's here in perth, is there a r33 club you's are all in??
