  9. ok i think there is alot of confusion from people in this thread about this topic... if you have ever seen a RB20/25 vs RB26 - the visual comparison is the fact that the 20/25's have the plenum run over the top of the cam covers and the 26 runs down the side... HENCE - there are no bonnet clearnace issues with RB26 you are correct about gearboxes.. i wouldnt even consider a RB20 gearbox as you'll munch it straight away - so i'd stick with RB25 box... yes you'll need custom tailshaft.. with my rb25 install i got a custom single-piece talshaft made up $400ish u dont need a custom gearbox crossmember... instead i used my SR20 AUTO gearbox crossmember and just welded a plate and redrilled a few holes to line it up - simple job use standard R33 engine crossmember and mounts - its not neccassary to get custom mounts.... and it is a tight fit length wise.. width wise - well if you dont get a custom manifold to push the turbo's forward then you'll be there all week trying to fit the RB26 in with standard exhaust manifolds... it is not necessary to move the battery to the boot.. as the cooler pipe just misses the battery hope that clears a few minds up BRAD
  10. i got permits for everything on my silvia - fitment of RB25 turbo 6cyl, 17"x7" rims (had to produce speedo calib test), "silent operation BOV", Exhaust cant be louder than 90db, FMIC, and i think thats it will double check my permit sheet when i leave work
  11. thanks all for the replys.. i cant keep up with them all - lol ok... Jules - you know my number Freeze - the ignition i had to drill out the bolt that connects it to the sterring coloumn bit - bit i did it in such a way that you can redrill the screw back in.. so there is no drama in using it... as to the ignition - i'm not sure but i'll let ya know Penfold - no dramas champ.. i'll grab some closer more detailed pics for you today everyone let me know your emails so i can send pics to you.. even better - drop me an email : [email protected] and i'll keep in touch there cheers all BRAD

  15. need to get major customised engine mounts
  16. AWD S13 would have to regraph the whole front half of the car to accomodate for the drive shafts - and to get that all permitted and legalised would require an engineer - and to do the task would be like tens of thousands!!! Mase.... i dont have struts on mine - and i feel the handling is perfect for me... althought i'm going to hunt down some struts this weekend because you can never get enough handling
  17. just curious maxim... what price are you selling your rb25 180 for? cheers..
  18. thats why i chose 25 for mine bro plus that.. i originally bought a RB26 to slot in.. but i had probs with the 26 engine so i couldnt be fked waiting for another 26 - 25 was the choice after
  19. and with the turbo choice.... it really depends on the person and the application.. but lets got into whether or not to go single or twin turbo.
