  1. Hey, I'm looking at getting some sway bars for my Laurel and was after some advice...I have read that S13 (SR or CA?) and rear GTR sway bars fit but i was wondering if anyone could confirm this? Has anyone fitted aftermarket sway bars to their laurel/cefiro Any info would be great cheers
  2. wouldn't bother with a NSO...the pay isn't that good and if you get a shit cluster there is alot of traveling Betfair are hiring IT staff at the moment...might be worth a look
  3. thanks very much for your quick reply Andrew...email sent!
  4. Hey, At the last drift day i lost my front bar during a "paddock ploughing" adventure and ripped off one of the indicators, loosing the bulb holder in the process... Does anyone know if laurel indicators are the same as any other cars (R32..etc)? If not, does anyone know where i might be able to find a bulb holder? The car is getting rego'ed soon and needs to be fixed before it can be passed cheers
  5. not 100% about the hub sorry mate as i used R32 hubs but the rest of the R32 gear all bolt up 100% and uses the stock cables
  6. fronts - 17x8 -7 offset rears - 17x9 +30 offset
  7. The mechanism is the drum handbrake...skylines come standard with these making it really easy to fit R32/33 hubs and brakes...not sure how you will get around this with the S15 brakes
  8. I ended up using R32 calipers, splash guards and rotors on my laurel...The ceffie and laurel already comes with a drum style handbrake (same setup as skylines) so you can basically bolt off the stock gear and bolt on the R32 brakes...Everything fits and you can even user the stock handbrake cables
  9. cheers Resin...Just got off the phone with the Koya dealer and apparently they come in a 17x9 35+ Should fit like a glove! thanks again
  10. Thanks for the info resin...Are you running a 215/45 tyre? Looking like the 8inch might be the safe way to go The front guards have had a slight lipping to fit the rims and are running a shit load of camber...plus a 40 profile tyre I used S14 hubs and R32 calipers/rotors...got the handbrake cables made to suit cheers
  11. Hey, I recently completed a rear 5 stud conversion on my laurel and need to grab some new 5 stud rims. The front already 5 stud when the car arrived and has some 17inch, 8 inch wide -7 offset speedstars fitted I had my eye on a pair of Drifttek rims but was wondering which rim width would be the best fit for the rear guards without having to flare them? The rims all come in a +30 offset and are avaliable in 8 or 9inch wide... cheers
  12. check out the update thread in the Tassie section of the Nissansilvia.com forums...
  13. Can grab you a couple more on wednesday for you Roy...They are on the work computer and I'm on holidays at the moment Its a 1989 but I'm not really sure of the model as its been de-badged and resprayed...interoir is in a gray velvet trim and looks really good for its age (better then the poo browns!) great car to drive, not overly powerful but a load of fun

  15. Hey everyone, My laurel had the front end converted to 5 stud while in Japan but the owner for some strange reason left the rear as 4 stud... I have sourced all the major parts to do the rear conversion but was wondering about the handbrake cable...Will it be long enough or will i need to modify the cable to suit (or get a new one made up)?? I'm using S14 rear hubs, R33 rear calipers and handbrake lines... cheers
  16. cheers SK...I'll drop in the SR and see how i go thanks again
  17. Hi, I’m currently looking into an engine swap for my car and was interested in tuning the suspension to suit the new power plant. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any formula or rules which should be applied when setting up the suspension for a car with an engine transplant? For example…for every KG of extra weight you will need another kg per mm in your springs…etc. The car is a laurel and I’m looking at either an SR or RB25 conversion…at the moment I’m leaning more towards the SR (got a bunch of bits for the SR and heard it gives better weight distribution due to the engine position and light alloy block) Cheers
  18. Grab some S13 coilovers but see if you can order different springs...Most A31/C33 coilovers in japan are around 10kg front and 8kg rear
  19. great thread...do you think converting a laurel would be much the same??
  20. that fatal crash compilation is really sad...esp that dude who was trying to get the guy out of the burning car...just kept going back trying to get him out but couldn't...would have got the shit burnt out of him.. Poor buggers...RIP
  21. thats why I said good condition...good isn't excellent...there are better roads but grasstree is still a great hill for *Edited by Slaz* Don't see your point here....One small lack of concentration in a car and you will be ****ed but thats what makes it fun...if you can't concentrate when you drive then catch a bus If you think grasstress is bad then take a drive up to colebrook one day...great winding road but its bump steer city **Please don't make references to illegal street activites (ie. drifting). Please read forum rules and thread in Tas section by me: "All Tasmanian posters please read". Thanks, Slaz**
  22. grasstree hill is a great drive...lots of twistes and the road condition is good

    New GTR in NW

congrats on the ride! 1.5bar is a farking lot for stock R32 GTR turbos (if they are stock)...the ceramic wheel in the turbo tends to break off when pushing them over 1.2bar...be careful man
  24. i use P6000s on my 180sx...great tyre with shit loads of grip (wet and dry)
  25. Hi, A mate is looking at buying a Laurel for a drift pig and was wondering if it would be a good car to use... The one he is looking at has an SR20 conversion, suspension, LSD...ect and was setup for drift in Japan... He was wondering what parts/pannels are like to get for these and if they are a decent drifter? cheers
