spotted a white R32 with very bright headlights around midnight on Canberra Ave, turning to go up to the Monaro.

spotted a grey R33 with no rear wing in Phillip about 1.30pm today..

spotted at around midnight, a red R33 with a GTR rear spoiler (I only saw the arse end) on the road that goes past Isaacs.

sewids right.. you'll be looking at around $300 from a wrecker...I recently had to replace mine too

the club is CAMS affiliated so whenever we hold an event we are covered by CAMS insurance....I know it's only a cruise but if something happened the organisers could be held responsible.. And we have the insurance so we may as well use it!

heya...it's in the members section. Non-members are welcome too (there'll be a $5 fee for non-members - cams requirement). we're not trying to exclude anyone, but because it's an official club event, we're just not advertising it all over the place you might want to PM majanal if you want to come, because he needs the numbers for lunch...and also get him to tell you the meeting place & time..

i think you're better off to ring up...especially spare part places...at least if you're talking to them they have to give you some kind of answer! but I agree, I emailed a heap of places about a part and only ONE got back to me.

So you guys are staying in the city on the Saturday night? I think we'll stay at the Hunter, providing a few of the sydney people are keen still!

hey geno8r I've been to Indy about 5 or 6 times...it's awesome fun, you'll love it!! For accommodation the best thing to look for is the distance the hotel is to Cavill Avenue...that's right near the track and where all the action is - clubs, restaurants, shops etc. we stayed here last time: http://www.breakfree.com.au/resorts/?resort=1065 it was pretty good, views of the river on one side and the highway on other (the highway doesnt sound great I know, but at least you can watch all the cars go past...and EVERYONES out doing laps and cruising around). I would recommend going to a travel agent, they seem to be able to get better deals, especially if you book the flights with them too. The earlier you book the cheaper it'll be. Are you flying into Brisbane or Coolangatta? If it's Brisbane, I've found the best way to get from the airport to the gold coast is to get a hire car, just the cheapest one like a pulsar or something. The train is a pain in the ass And a car will only cost you $40 or so, and split between your mates, it's cheap....and you can stop off and do what you want on the way (ie buy GROG etc hehe) And Hertz conveniently have an office right in the middle of surfers, so you can dump the car and only pay for 1 day. If you're going home on the Monday, make sure you've booked a car to get back to the airport in advance, cos everyone has the same idea, and they usually have none left. as far as I know, and by looking at the DOTARS site, as long as the car has met all the legal requirements for it's INITIAL registration in Oz, there are no restrictions to selling it..

haha yeah I've only been there once before but I remember that..we didn't have that problem this time...we didn't leave the track till well after dark (6 or 7pm).. yeah the ARC are so cool and very cute!!...it can be expensive, but Jeff's got a great sponsor who has been getting some great feedback now that the cars are so popular, so they've given them quite a few more $$$ to keep the team going. I went!! My friend was racing (in the Aussie Racing Cars), so we went and hung out with them...as errr "pit crew" hahahaaa like i helped!! lol He did really well too...1st, 2nd, then 1st....and then in the final race they were supposed to go on before the v8's at 2.30pm but the knobheads decided to put the VB challenge or something on and there wasn't enough time for the race (we were already down lined up at the marshalling area ready to go on!!) So we sat around.... and they finally put them on when it was practically DARK (they don't have headlights <_< ) and my mate had a big stack and lost what would have been the round win. Even one of the marshalls said it was unsafe. Where did you watch the V8's from benm? I was directly in front of where they enter the pits, right where Winterbottom smacked straight into the back of someone on his way in...too funny.. :lol:

went to get dinner at Manuka maccas and spotted a gold R33 on Canberra Ave, also a silver R33 which turned into BP to get petrol. the silver one looked like it had black bits on it??

I have a stock R33 and my bf had a stock XR6T...both manual...his car was faster. And now he's just got a FPV GT, I have NO chance in hell of beating him lol
