I split my head open above my right eye when the pliers I was using to re-install brake shoe springs (Holden HT Kingy) slipped of off the spring.... only 5 stitches required!! Another (I can laugh about it now) was when I had a flat battery in my Subaru Wagon. I was pushing the car out of the driveway so that I could get my Torana onto it to jump start, so I had the drivers door open so I could push backwards and steer at the same time.... all of a sudden the car doesn't want to go nowhere because the open door glass had caught itself on the carport. Of course those old subie's had frameless windows, so when I forced the car not realising that it had caught on the carport the window popped into a billion pieces!!!

Really? Guys on this forum are saying 5-6hrs because the whole dash needs to come out. But if that's the case I can probably try get to it myself...

Apparently the whole dash needs to come out to get to it, they would've had your dash out already to change heater core. I'll call them tomorrow, can't hurt because they might (translation: I hope) know any easy way of getting at it.

Apologies in advance if an innocent victim in all of this is a relative of yours.... but, a quiet Rd doesn't make it permissible to speed, drag, hoon or whatever you want to call it. The only ones I feel sorry for are the passengers in the WRX's and all occupants of the Corolla. I have zero sympathy for the morons drivers of both cars, I have sympathy for their families and friends who have to deal with it now.
