  1. chasing a pair of R33/4 GTR seats, would be great if anyone local had some they wanted to get rid of
  2. looking for some R33/4 GTR front seats. If anyone knows of any around, let us know please.
  3. Just saw this on facebook https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151953009431421&set=a.416699831420.214812.689711420&type=1&theater Seems like there are some serious dramas coming to light in the Nemo camp. Looks like we'll never see that car on track again.
  4. price drop to $2000 pick up. have been sitting in storage for a year now, surely someone needs them more than me
  5. would really like to hand this car over to a new owner. It's been sitting in my garage unused for most of the year. I've dropped the asking price down to $10,000 which is a lot less than I'm happy with. please email or PM me if you're interested
  6. Hey guys, got my stagea up for sale so if you know anyone looking for their next import, please send them my way. Happy to work out some kind of reward for supplying a buyer. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/423732-1997-rs4-stagea-with-tasteful-mods/ Also selling a set of ADVAN RS wheels - 17x9.5+15 front and 18x10+25 rears. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/423983-advan-rs-17x95-18x10-wheels/
  7. Unfortunately I don't have any photos that closely show the roof. In the pic below, you can see the plastic trim which filled the area where the roof rack used to be mounted. You can see it follows the contour of the roof perfectly and is colour coded. Forgot to mention before, I can remove things like the wheels and brakes if you would like to negotiate a lower price.
  8. Hey guys, looking to offload some wheels that are no longer required. Wheels are located in Bendigo VIC but can deliver to Melbourne or Canberra for free as I travel between those cities fairly regularly. Wheels are in excellent condition with only a few minor marks from general road use. 17x9.5+15 (front pair) have 235/40/17 Federal 595 Tyres. Tyres are about 4 years old (first pair fitted to wheels) but tread is well above the wear indicators 18x10+25 (rear pair) have 245/40/18 Federal RSR tyres. Tyres are brand new, just fitted and balanced but never fitted to car. Looking for $2500. These cost me $3000 for the wheels alone, imported from Japan. PM is the best method for contact as I dont have my phone with me often.
  9. Well I’ve decided to bite the bullet and put my Stagea up for sale. It is a big decision for me because I love this car to bits and it holds far more sentimental value than the dollars it will sell for. But, I have two other cars and all this one does these days is collect dust and take up a car space so it’s time to let her go to a new home where she’ll be used. A bit of history on the car.... I bought it in early 2009 from a member on here in Brisbane who managed only about 1600kms in his two years of ownership. He was the first owner in Australia and bought it from MJR Motorsports on the Gold Coast, who imported it and had it as a demo car. Prior to that is anyone’s guess, but as it was in immaculate condition with some very rare aftermarket modifications, I would say whoever owned it in Japan definitely knew what they were doing and looked after it very well. For me, I have used it as my daily and road trip car – driving between Brisbane and Melbourne several times a year up until early 2013 when I bought a new car. I initially bought it to be a tow car but I never installed the towbar because I didn’t want to wreck it. Along the way, I spent a little bit of money on modifications which were done purely to refine the package without going overboard in any way. Below is a list of all modifications on the car: 1997 Series 1 C34 Stagea RB25DET auto Engine: 170,000km 3" stainless steel combined dump and front pipe 3" APEXi cat back – new adjustable muffler included K&N panel filter in stock airbox (only just bought/fitted) 260RS Intercooler with custom alloy piping earth kit Drive line and Wheels: MV Automatics Stage 2 shift kit Davies Craig transmission cooler rear LSD R34 GTR 18x9 wheels Brakes and Suspension: CSC 4 piston callipers (front) CSC 343mm 2 piece rotors (front) Bendix Ultimate pads (front) braided brake lines (front) BM57 Brake Master Cylinder POTENZA Super Wagon shocks and springs – sits very flat around corners D Project stronger tie rods D Project rose jointed tie rod ends Interior: BLITZ Spec S boost controller (hidden under dash) GReddy Emanage piggy back ECU (very neat install in the glovebox) GReddy boost gauge Tinted windows (rear limo tint, rear windscreen and front door windows slightly less dark) JVC stereo with Alpine front speakers Immobiliser and alarm S15 Silvia driver’s seat (comes with standard seat as well) Exterior: Genuine 260RS full body kit (rare) Larger rear Wing Roof racks deleted with replacement trim (super rare) De-badged Full snow pearl respray (was done in Japan and was a quality job) I have driven the car for about 70,000kms, had it since the odometer read 100,000. Although that is higher than most, it has mostly been accumilated on long highway drives up and down the East Coast, which is pretty easy on the car with low wear and tear. It has been super reliable with needing only normal regular servicing. Recent maintenance includes a new battery, front drive shaft boots replaced, coolant flush with new thermostat, new tyres, replaced starter motor and new headlight globes. I always use full synthetic oils and only 98RON fuel. The car has been incredibly useful for transporting bulky things – fridge, furniture, engines, body panels, wheels, tyres ect. It is truely amazing how much can be put in the back. There are a few pictures attached to demonstrate the cargo capacity. Bad points: I'll be completely honest here as no car is without fault.... -The front bumper has plenty of stone chips and if you're pedantic you may want to respray the lower lip, but it's only minor really and hasn't worried me. -The mufflers in the catback have developed a few small holes. You can't hear them but I know they're there. I bought ($400) a twin tip varex muffler and will include that with the purchase so the buyer can make a new catback for low cost if they choose to. -The last tune was done approximately 2 years ago so could probably benefit from a touch up. Only minor changes have been made since then and it runs mint but a touch up could maybe net some gains. -There is a very small amount of rust under the passenger side mirror which is typical of a Stagea but no big deal and hardly noticeable. -There is a scratch on windscreen from a wiper insert that broke on me mid storm so I didnt realise it scratching. It's on the passenger side and doesn't impair visibility or distract at all. Happened years ago and I haven't worried about changed it. Car is located in Canberra but currently has QLD rego (just moved). Will change to ACT rego soonand will include a RWC in the sale. Any questions feel free to ask I don't have my phone on me during the day so contact on here by pm is best. $12000 Kurtis

  14. I'll come if you can push it back to be in the first 2 weeks of July?
  15. This is excellent news, will be watching this space closely for future updates.
  16. what condition are the drive shafts boots in? could you please take some measurements of it, if it fits in the back of my stagea and you still have it in a few months I might swing by and take it off your hands
  17. yeah they're massive overkill for my application but they were so cheap that I felt I would be ripping myself off if I didnt buy them. Can you believe they were only $3K? RRP is close to $6K!!! thanks mate, my fastest was 126mph but was a tad slower at 12.7. will definately go back for another go once the car is back in one piece and see what difference it's made, if any. thanks mate, yeah Im pretty happy with it. Thanks I really appreciate that Baron. Its worth it just for the experience for sure, at the start I knew stuff all so its good to see how far its come. And your right about the track time, has been over 2 years since it last got driven in anger.
  18. stageas are cheap as chips here, would probably save yourself a lot of trouble and money if you left yours there and just bought another here. Australia is pretty tight with road laws and vehicle imports
  19. hey mate, thanks. I've done 2 drag days, a handful of drift days and only 1 circuit day at winton which wasnt timed. that was way back in the day when I first got it though. should hopefully be hitting up the victorian tracks a bit more toward the end of this year
  20. I was never planning on getting all of this done at once but I was in a position where I couldnt touch the car for a good 8 months so figured Id get a few years worth of mods done in one hit, that way I can finally get it out of the shed and just enjoy it without devoted all my holidays for the next 2 years to swinging spanners in the shed. so once there, the guys got stuck into rewiring it completely with all new engine loom, all new sensors. theres a lot of little bits and pieces throughout that theyve done but that list could go forever so I wont bother trying to list them all. boot floor got cut out so a new fuel setup could go in. standard tank was 60ltrs and this one is about 45ltrs but I think that'll do me fine, its just a little 4 cyl after all As I fried my old ECU, it gave me the opportunity to upgrade to a MoTeC and a new dash setup. On previous track days Ive seen a few cars catch fire and even had a close call myself when my first motor popped and spewed all all over the turbo so felt it would be a wise idea to get a fire bomb for that piece of mind. things in the engine bay started to get a bit of attention too, the front end got cut off to make way for some tubs and a new radiator support. Although the last one wasnt damaged, I hate wheel scrub and wanted the front end beefed up a bit so it wont cave in if I bump into something. got a bunch of fidly things done that were needed too. new catch can, oil cooler, pedal box, intercooler piping, new gearbox cross member and a swag of other stuff that needed to be sorted. thats about where Im up to at the moment, will keep the pics coming when there's more to show
  21. so after the paint dried I thought Id tidy up the looms a bit more but I got confused by it all and thought itd just be simpler to rip it all out and start again. before this the most complicated wirign job Id done was a tow bar plug so kinda jumped in the deep end. learnt a lot though About this time I changed a few other things like a nardi steering wheel with WB boss and quick release. Wasnt at all looking for a new brake setup but a new set of Project Mu gear came up cheap so I impulse bought it. took the CSCs off and put them on my stagea. Stagea already had 32GTR brakes so now Ive gotta find something to put them on. was amazed the 17s fitted over the brakes but glad they did because I wasnt ready to buy new wheels. I tried a few different gauge setups with the stock cluster, defi gauges and then apexi gauges. I was never very happy with the wiring in it as the more I learnt themore I wanted to start over and make it better. I persisted with it though cos it was taking me forever and I just wanted to drive it. Once I was finished wiring it up I went to start it up but managed to wire up the ECU wrong and set fire to the power fc. not cool! So fed up with it all, I ripped it all out again and cleaned it up ready to give to someone else. At this point I was pretty much addicted to taking weightout of the car so I ditched the powersteering, converted therack to manual and bought some supermade headlight moulds. Also got a thing made up to replace the water hoses that run under the inlet manifold as its just a mess under there with cold start and turbo lines and heater box crap so it all got binned. much nicer now Also got my rocker cover shaved, sand blasted and powder coated with some -12 fittings on top for the new catch can setup After that I loaded it up and dropped it back off to meridian so they could start giving it a fair birthday. Im not a fan of letting other people work on my cars but they're great to deal with and do excellent work so I dont mind.
  22. after a handful of drift days at winton and calder park, the motor dropped compression so it was out with the old and in with a new one. Almost immediately after it was run in and retuned, I drove it to brisbane where I now live. car pretty much stayed in one piece for the better part of a year which was cool because previously I think the longest it stayed in one piece was 2 weeks. a few little things changed here and there but nothing major. This really allowed me to get used to driving it hard and I racked up about 20000km of hills and track driving. At this stage I was still very much into drift so only ever hit up QR. After a fair bit of drifting I got a bit over it and bought a stagea so I could make the car a bit more track focused. first up was an interier and air con strip. the more trim I pulled out the more wires I found for useless things like interier lights and such as I went I stripped back the looms and tidied it all up. after that the next big change was a swap to five stud to get some wider wheels and bigger brakes. Went with CSC 343mm rotors, big 4 piston calipers and ADVAN RS wheels. with this came flared gaurds and a few height adjustments to get it right. After this things started to get a bit more serious again so I drove thecar back to melbourne and dropped it off at Meridian Motorsport to get a full cage and a few other bits and pieces. I could have got it done in brisbane for cheaper but after a lot of research I decided Meridian did excellent work so went with them. After taken a fair chunk out of my wallet I had it back in my shed ready to get cracking with some more work. Was the first time I had tried painting anything and with a borrowed paint gun it came out alright. Its not perfect by any means but hey it only cost me $150 in materials and was worth it for the experience. I didnt paint the engine bay at this stage because I was planning on doing a bit more work in the engine bay.
