Indeed it is. Years ago my brother went downstairs to ride his bike (pushbike) and noticed it wasn't there... then noticed an, er, indigenous person walking up the street with it... needless to say they chased him down and confronted him.Brother: WTF are you doing? That's my bike!
Thief: No it's not, I found it. It's mine.
B: Yeah, in my yard!
T: Yeah, but I found it so it's mine.
Conversation went around in circles until my dad and several equally large guys caught up and the thieving scum was eventually convinced to hand back the bike. And things like that were not uncommon. It's so hard not to racially stereotype when so many fit the mould perfectly.
