  1. hey guys and girls, the time has come to sell my skyline, i have spent thousands of dallars on this car in just the last few months and has only just had its dyno tune last week making 200 rwkw, will be sad to see it go but im at the point where i want something different, here is a list of work done to the car, has been serviced every 5000kms with penrite full synthetic engine oil. 1996 R33 Skyline Series 2 ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN -Internally standard RB25DET 104,000ks (had 91 when i bought it nearly 12 months ago) -100,000 service just been done (plugs, fuel filter, pod, new water pump, timing belt and pulleys) -All 3 fan belts just been changed -Standard turbo running 12 psi -3 inch turbo back mild steel exhaust with cannon -K&N pod filter in enclosed box -Z32 air flow meter -Bosch 040 fuel pump -FMIC 600x300x76 (3 inch outlets) -3 inch aluminium intercooler pipes (2 1/2 to 3 inch from turbo) -Plazmaman intake manifold -Plazmaman matching throttle body -Modified throttle cable to suit intake manifold -Cushioned Button Clutch -Re raced gearbox (all new bearings) -Power FC with hand controller -Blitz electronic boost controller -Turbosmart stage 3 Supersonic blow off valve SUSPENSION -Front K-sport coilovers -Rear lowered k-mac springs on kyb shocks INTERIOR -Standard series 2 interior (seats etc) -Dash surround etc painted silver -Boost controller hidden in ashtray -2 gauge piller pod (volts and boost) -White faced dials with blue led backlight WHEELS -350Z 18inch alloys with ok tyres I think thats everything, any questions just ask or pm me Not sure how to add pics but can email them to anyone interested no probs Car is located in Newcastle NSW LOOKING AT AROUND $14,500 ONO Cheers

  3. hey guys thanks for all those that had some suggestions for me, i found my problem this morning, so here is what was wrong ***The Connection To The ECU Was Bad*** and thats all it was, seems i had a case of a slightly banana like plug and wasnt making good contact on te lower pins of the ecu which just happen to be the pins that pulse the injectors. GAHHHHHH so after all that it was a simple fix i simple just pushed the connector on properly and now runs sweet as so just a little heads up to anyone that ever has a wierd problem like this one, check the connection to your ecu, especially if like me you have been playing round there lately
  4. thanks for the reply mate, yeah the pfc is only the basic tune i only been driving it to work and back so like 20 k's a day for a few days an update on the situation got to work this morning and changed no 1 and 2 coilpacks around, missfire still on no 1 cylinder then changed no 1 and 2 spark plugs around and still missfire on no 1 cylinder then lastly i put my noid light on no 1 injector and nothing, no flashing, tried on no 2 injector plug and it was flashing, so back on to no 1 and nothing so the cause of the missfire, or running on 5 cylinders is due to no injector pulse on no 1 injector.......but why i still dont know so te next step tommorrow morning is to swap the pfc for the standard ecu and see if the problem still occurs, if it does then i beleive i have a wiring issue somewhere, and if it fixes the problem then there is something wrong with the pfc/tune etc has anyone else ever had or heard of this problem???????
  5. ok guys i need a bit of help, a bit of a brainstorm i guess and any help would be appreciated. for the last few weeks i have been doing a few little modifications to my series 2 33gtst including 100 thousand service, new plugs gapped to 0.8mm, bosch 040 fuel pump, front mount intercooler, new plazmaman intake plenum and throttle body and a power fc which all needs to be tuned. now heres where my problem is, on really cold mornings, like freezing cold morning, it has a missfire at idle and through the entire rev range, continues like this till it has reached just over operating temp and seems to clear itself and runs fine there after, now its not just when the engine is cold as if i leave the car sit all day and start it again in the arvo it doesnt do it. so far i have tracked it down to be on number 1 cylinder and will be doing some more tests in the morning when i get back to work, so just wondering if anyone has had this prob or heard of it before, is it a tune issue, bad plug coil pack etc, any help or suggestions would be mostly appreciated. thanks
  6. i remember reading an article in a magazine about a r34 putting out a decent power figure (goes through pile of mags next to me) ok it a performance imports mag from some months ago, got a red 34 gtt in it, makes 364rwkw on an internally standard 25 neo, and they reckon it was pretty reliable too lol although i wouldnt expect that to last too long without going bang, but then it does prove the fact its possible

  8. taking the bulb out may get rid of the problem but it wont fix the cause the airbag is a safety item and if there is a fault in the system it could cause the airbag not to go off in an accident or possibly worse just go off without warning, either way i would suggest you get it looked at, just my 2 cents worth anyways
  9. as far as i am aware there is no more r12 around (and there shouldnt be coz that shits bad lol), and any workshop that does a/c should be able to do the conversion for you, its as simple as removing all of the old gas, putting new fittings on the a/c pipes and putting some new oil and gas into the system, i know this as im a mechanic and we do them every now and then

  20. yeah thats why i have been leaning toward getting the power fc additional boost control kit so then its all integrated into the one unit but then the other ones have all these cool features too, im just confused and undecided at the moment lol
  21. hi all i know there are other threads on boost controllers and i have read them but still cant decide what to do. im currently in the market to buy an electronic boost controller for my series 2 R33 gtst, i have an apexi power fc (not currently installed....its coming lol) and cant decide on whether to buy the power fc boost controll kit or whether to buy something else such as an avc-r or profec b etc etc. so basically im just after some advice from everyone on what i should do as it would be muchly appreciated cheers

  24. ok i have a question that im sure has been answered a million bloody times but i keep getting different answers everywhere i look and in everything i read so i thought i would ask in here is there a difference between a power fc for a series 1 and 2 R33 GTST? can a power fc from out of a series 1 be plugged straight into a series 2? as i said im sure its been asked and answered a million times but can anyone give me a definate answer or point me in the right direction, thanks in advance for any help dale
