I fixed my headlight switch, I pulled it apart and found out the contacts inside were pitted and stuffed, so I used some 1200 wet n dry sandpaper and sanded them all back smooth. switch works perfectly now as I now have my lowbeam working!!! Now my left HIGH beam isnt working well it did for a second but now it wont go on at all. im just wondering, when highbeam is on should lowbeam be on as well??? when i flick it to highbeam, the lowbeam lights go off!!! is this whats supposed to happen? im thinking its the blinker/highbeam combo switch thats stuffed now? can anyone relate to this? this car is drivin me nuts lol

  8. Hey guys I need some parts so I can get my fully sick skyline registered again! I need the C pillar trims Headlight Switch Blinker highbeam combo switch (steering wheel one) the strip that goes along the top of the drivers side door (weather strip) and both rubber stops that screw in either side under bonnet if you have any of these either ring me on 0401589418 (Rohin) im located in northern nsw or reply here cheers!

Sorry to dig this up again but I cant seem to get my left headlight to work ive swapped bulbs to see if it was the bulb changed fuses pulled out the headlight switch pulled it apart and cleaned it up, nothing was broken or melted in there. both highbeams didnt work until 30mins ago, the right started first then the left came on shortly after, now they work fine still no left headlight could it be a faulty relay in the fusebox in the enginebay? I cant pass rego with one headlight help is appreciated!

I currently have 3 inch turbo back to 3 inch stainless cat then to 3 1/2inch stainless all the way to a xforce cannon.....it sounds alright but really droney, gives me a headache on the highway, I just need some advice to get rid of the drone, i dont wanna spend heaps and have come to 2 decisions. 1. 3.5 inch xforce stainless resonator hot-dog style, they said they can do it for $150 2. Hooker Aero Chamber $125 + $15 for postage on ebay Any pros or cons with these two different mufflers?
  11. so the nistune board will solder into the same socket? sounds like a better idea to me as well! If i did just want to tune the EPROM who does it? (around goldy area) Cold start is super annoying, any way i can switch it off or is it a map the ecu switches to? I thought i could modify the water temp signal making the ecu think its at running temp all the time to trick it but how would i do that? Thanks for the info

Hey peeps, just got a few questions about my R32 gtst I opened up my ecu the other day to see what kind of chip/tune it had n found out is has a UV erasable EPROM. now my problem is my car needs a tune, its running really rich and i need to get rid of the cold start mode somehow, (when it goes into cold start mode with my O2 sensor connected it has no power and runs like crap, pops and splutters, would be like trying to run the car with AFM disconnected is the best way i can describe it) I recently put a new 2nd hand engine in it thats done 75thou Kms and i would like to get it tuned and dynoed. i live about 2 1/2 hrs down from the gold coast. My car has HKS2530 GTR injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 040 fuel pump NGK Platnum Spark Plugs gapped to 0.8mm Turbotech boost tee 3inch front pipe to 3 inch exhaust with 3 inch cat hoping to get 220 killawasps Also does anyone know where i could source a 3 1/2inch stainless resonator from? Ive got a 3 1/2inch exhaust in my garage and all it has is a cannon! its not heaps loud but its really droney and very annoying.
  13. Ok so i have an update, turns out its the O2 sensor thats stuffing up my cold start and idle. I unplugged it and everything is fine again, (btw the O2 is brand new) So im guessing my ECU was tuned with the old stuffed O2 sensor and now the new one is leaning the fuel mixture out too much. cant figure out why its affecting idle tho.

  15. Ok well thats good and bad news Good news its actually chipped bas news its not nistune So how am I able to tune this ecu? I was going to buy a consult cable but now it looks like my ecu is not easily tuneable Does anyone know who chipped my ecu? like what brand or whatever? cheers for all your help
  16. Is my ECU nistuned? lol weird question I know but apparently my ECU is... here is a pic of it. Dont know what the board is on top of the unit upside down? I also need to know who does nistuning around gold coast area or north coast my car is running like a 3 legged goat atm

I will try to get a multimeter to check coolant temp sensor but now you got me thinking its the plugs lol I recently put a new engine in the car but it was doing the same thing with the old engine, im running brand new DENSO K20R - U11 spark plugs atm gapped to .8mm but the plugs that were in the new engine were NGK-R PFR5A - 11 what would be the correct plugs for my application? OK i have exact same problem, R32 GTST RB20DET nistune ecu gtr injectors z32 afm plugs gapped to .8mm hks turbine Car goes into cold start mode, id love to make a vid on how the motor behaves when starting cold, and i will, WHEN IT STOPS RAINING!!!!!!!!!! grrrr I start the car (dead cold morning) starts fine, revs well, 30 secs or so after start it clicks into this "Runs Like A Three-legged Billy Goat" mode! NOW i thought it was something to do with the O2 sensor, bought a new one, no change. Coughs misfires under load generally runs like poo, I unplug the O2 sensor, no coughs or misfiring but now surges under load, n same as everyone else this mode clicks off when temp guage hits the middle Not everyone has this problem i see n id love to find out how to fix it or help fix it!! Filled the box via the gearstick hole, took around 2.5 litres of castrol syntrans 75-85. so thats ok still have squeaky clutch unfortunately pretty sure its the pressure plate anyhoo.... car started first go last night! but shit the lifters were noisy lol still kinda are now just gonna put some lifter free n tune in n hopefully they free up (wasnt sure how long engine was in storage for) now one gremlin has showed up, I was just about to reverse the car out of the driveway for a test run and the powersteering started pulsating in tune with the HICAS light and a loud click, click, click could be heared from under the car. Ive done a search and found out it could be the alternator not charging (light dosnt come on on dash tho) i hooked up a multimeter and it only read around 12 volts (I read it should be around 14.4v after starting the car then should drop to around 13.8v) so yeah i guess i have to swap alternators back again. can anyone confirm its the alternator thats causing the powersteering issue?
