What do you think I should expect to pay to get an Apexi S-AFC installed and dyno tuned (sydney prices)? Is it easy/worth installing myself and then taking it to get tuned? If so, if I install it with the stock settings will it affect the car badly (will i still be able to drive to work in other words) until i get it tuned? cheers.

Once i got pulled over about 500m from my house in one of my inbetween cars( had a big accident and bought a 1000 vl while waiting for my insurance to come through).. anyway two cops pull me over and come over to the car with an RBT meter..(standard reason for why they pull you over.. theyl always say it...) Within about 20 secs max they are under my car looking at every stone chip and shit on this cheap ass vl... I explained my exact problem ,,... His reply............................quote" We are from wollongong not Sydney mate, we are on a revenue raising scheme"... I honestly told him to **** off and go back to wollongong, but it got me nowhere he defected me for two bald tyres!!.... what im saying is, if the cops want to give you a ticket they will, theyl find a reason... how unfair does that sound.... Revenue raising scheme???

BTW anyone here that respects police has a serious problem... 1. they dont drive 2. they have never needed the police in a desperate situation. I have lost all respect for police and will never get it back, also dislike ppl that stick up for them, we pay their wages then they just have a quota to fill out and book people all day... revenue raising scheme they call it!!!!

complain to the ombudsman, I have done it in other circumstances.. I had 5 guys try an assualt (bash me) in my own driveway, the fat **** cops came down about 6hrs after they were called (they were investigating a stolen BMX!) and i gave them a name and address of one of the men i recognised. I had neighbours willing to come to court e.t.c e.t.c,, THOSE ****ED UP cops could not be bothered with my case, and said that my description of ONE of the guys wasnt correct... I tried to tell him its hard to remember what colour shirt he was wearing while they were beating me up!!! My dad complained to the nSW ombudsman and i had the senior constables come over and apologise for their **** ups....the cops are useless mate even if you do complain to the ombudsman.... Lst yr (2002) my yz250 '02 model (dirtbike) I had owned for about 5 months ... cost 13 grand, and was in my garage .. Well while I was out and my mum was at home, some ****ing scum with a huge shifter got in my garage and threatened to kill my mum if she called the cops (he was rolling the bike out to his van) my mum called 000 and was hysterical, the police took 1 1/2 hrs to come on a 000 emergency call (armed break in) I was already at home by then, and when the cops come i could only do what i felt was neccessary ......wait for it..... Hocked up the biggest gholly i could and left one on the LAC's face. Also told him hes a fat fucing wanker that gets paid off our taxes.. got 2hrs in the cell but the satisfaction will last a lifetime ; ) ... P.S bike was insured..

hey ppl.. I'm thinking of buying an apexi s-afc in the near future. I am getting my zorst done shortly (3" turbo back), and will up boost to about 11psi. Will the s-afc increase power on a car with these mild mods? I assume that it will need to be dyno-tuned once fitted with the s-afc.. has anyone had this done and how much did it cost? I'm looking at spending about $450-550 on a s-afc plus tuning ($??? how much do u think tuning will cost), would the performance gains justify the costs involved. I know the Power FC would be a better option, but budget won't allow for that thanks in advance.

m3boy PM me for some details of an excellent tinter in Sydney who will tint ur r33 for $180 in whatever percentage tint you want. Oh btw, I've had 8 cars done by him, one which we still own 7 years down the track and the tint is still like new. I just had my r33 done last week and it is awesome.

hi ppl, my passenger side headlight has decided not to work. Both high and normal beams on the passenger side don't work at all, but the drivers side is fine. If I have the headlights in the "on" position, I get the passenger side parker and the drivers side low/normal beam. I checked the bulb and its fine.. I replaced it just in case and still no luck, same with the fuses. Does anyone have suggestions as to what might be the cause? Has anyone ever re-wired their headlights? cheers.

i finally just finished getting that mother(*@#$ in!!! talk about an absolute **** of a job. Now the problem is that the dash doesn't clip back in properly (the facia around the stereo) and there is a slight gap under the DIN pocket. Oh... and another problem.. Now my passenger side headlight doesn't want to work. I took the bulb out (what a bitch that was) and it isn't blown at all ?? It looks like a bad connection or old wiring. Anyone else have this problem? And can anyone else tell me how in the hell I am going to be able to get the bulb back in the headlight with the clip?

Anyone know how to change the passenger side headlight globe?? Looks like a biaatch.. I can't seem to get my hand behind that black cannister thingy. And if i do manage to get it out, i don't think i'll be able to get that clip behind the globe back in properly. Any tricks to this? Oh, and what size globes are the headlights (R33 GTS-T)? Cheers.

damn it!!!!! I bought the brackets from another wrecker (closer), but they aren't enough... the brackets I bought are kind of L shaped and fit deeper inside the dash, towards the back. There is no way I can fit a deck to them without it being about 3 inches deep from the facia. I spoke to a mate who recently put a stereo into an r33 and he said I am missing more brackets. Is anyone on the forum wrecking an r33 with these brackets?? I would love to basically buy the whole bracket/cradle setup that goes with the deck right back to the internal dash rails.

Hi ppl, I have been trying to install a stereo for the last two days (damn long condsidering i've installed about 6 units in other cars). The car is an R33 S1 2door. I have fixed my previous problems but have now run into some new ones which I need help with badly! Problems are: I have nowhere to mount the stereo! The original brackets are missing and I'm left with a nice double DIN sized hole. I need to get some sort of frame to mount the decks cradle to, and will also need a single DIN pocket. Question is, does anyone know of a dash frame/chassis from another car that will fit to the skyline? I need the actual metal bracket that fits two DIN slots, one for the deck and the other for a plastic pocket. Other problem is the aerial connection. It looks like it has a weird plug shape with 2 prongs?! Anyone know of an adapter to mate the jap aerial to an aussie spec aerial? Thanks in advance for any help. cheers.

Hi ppl, I want to remove the factory double din unit (yes...its still in there) and replace with a single din unit. Does anyone know of a single DIN tray or cover plate that fits in the R33 S1 dash to block/fill the hole? I would prefer some kind of tray, that way it is useful. cheers, peter.
