  1. As a couple of the others have said you're not insured if you crash it.. don't take the risk it's not worth it! You will also run into severe penalties if you cause an accident too - expect to end up in court at the very least. Don't even want to think about what might happen to you if you injure or kill someone driving a vehicle that you know is not P-Plate legal.....
  2. Thanks for the reply guys. The car is gone, traded it a few months back. I do miss having a Skyline, but certainly miss my old R33 much more than I miss the V35. The R33 was one sweet machine and I regret ever letting that one go.
  3. Sorry if I'm asking a silly question but apart from the two cars looking the same, is there any proof they are the exact same car? I know heaps of imports are wound back and it's rife but just wondering.
  4. Buy the TomTom car kit for iPhone. I have it and it's excellent, I use TomTom navigation with it and it is as good as a stand alone unit as it has a GPS enhancer chip. Also gives you hands free through Bluetooth for calls. A little pricy at $160 but I think worth it. I wouldn't bother with the oem screen in the v35 personally, it's a novelty.
  5. Not sure on that one but I was definately able to replace. I have the invoice at home somewhere. Apparently it was a bit of a tough job getting them out but eventually was done. Fixed the oil pooling problem in any case
  6. I replaced the seals, had the same problem. From memory it was about $65 for 6 new seals plus labour. I had the 250gt maybe the 300 and 350 are different, but I did not have to replace the whole thing.
  7. Taking delivery of the new model Mazda3 next week I'm very excited I love the car. But I will be taking the V for at least one long last cruise.
  8. Gone! Traded in today. A good bargain missed here.. May have moved further for quick sale.
  9. Gone! Traded today. New car coming next week. I'll probably still visit the forum from time to time but no more V35.
  10. Hi all, Posted this in the For Sale section but thought I would put in the V-Series forum as well. I have my 2001 Nissan Skyline V35 250GT sedan up for sale. This car has been my pride and joy, but I have a new car coming so this one needs to be sold as soon as possible. Would like to sell in the next few days ideally. I have dropped the price so this is now the cheapest 250GT on Carsales. The below is from my Carsales ad: Immaculate condition V35 250GT luxury sports sedan. Features include: - Full Leather Trim - 18 inch alloy wheels plus the full set of stock OEM 16 inch alloy wheels - Cruise Control - 6 Stacker CD Player - Steering wheel mounted audio controls - Xenon automatic-on/off headlights - Full trip computer with TV functionality option - Climate control air conditioning - ABS, 4-wheel disc brakes - Autowatch 573ppi Immobiliser (ADR 82/00 spec) - Tinted windows - Rear spoiler - Electric seats/adjustments - Power windows (front and rear) - Power mirrors - Power steering - Metallic paint - Driver and Front Passenger airbags - Remote control central locking - Sports tiptronic mode for manual shifting This car has been well maintained and has been serviced every 5,000 km. It is garaged whenever not being driven. Odometer reading is 92,000km. The car is NA and is perfect for P-Platers, or anyone not interested in a Turbo Skyline. The VQ25DD 2.5 litre Neo direct injection engine provides excellent sporty performance combined with a smooth comfortable luxury ride. $14,900 Price negotiable. 11. Need to sell so I'll make it even more competitive. Price now $14,900. It's a great car and I love it, but need to sell before taking delivery of my new car.

  13. Unlucky break mate! Kiddy pool = 1, V35 = 0. You probably need a professional quote done up to see how much it should cost all up then decide which way to go.. ie pay outright, claim through insurance, or depending on how bad it is, DIY through sourcing your own parts.. I don't know what your excess is but mine is $1550 (Vehicle $800 + Standard excess $400 + U/25 excess $350) with JustCar (even as a rating 1.. it's criminal that they can charge such a high excess... once my birthday rolls around in November it will drop extremely sharply to only $400 in total!!!). If your excess is high like mine you might be better off avoiding the insurance claim. Good luck with it.
