You'll be able to beat a BA XR6 (non-turbo) easily if you get a good launch. I bet one in my S13 Silvia numerous times when I only had a pod filter and 11psi.

[/font] There are way too many S13's around, most of them are bloody Q's (non-turbo's) too. But hey, I drive an S13 (SR20det) so who am I to complain? I love the look of a R33 with nice wheels and kit, much better than any Commonwhore or Falcoon. A lot of S13 drivers bag R33's because most people believe a R33 is faster, but when both cars are lightly modded (exhaust, filter, bit more boost) the S13 usually (not always!) will win and a lot of S13 drivers want to prove this maybe to make themselves feel better about thier cheaper car? Sure, a stock Silvia looks very average. But when dumped on big wheels and a nice kit, they can look awesome!

My Silvia has 4 stud wheels. My tyres on the back are fairly new, so I might just get some old tyres and swap them over for a few days. Thanks for the offers guys, but I live in Geelong so it will probably make it a bit difficult.

Ok, I guess I will come. Any spots available on the 20th? Last time I went to the skidpan they literally had no tread on them at the end of the day, although they had very little at the start of the day.

I won't be able to make it, I didn't realize the 13th is only a couple of weeks ago. Unless someone has some burnout rims I can borrow or are selling for cheap!!

I'm interested in coming along to the skidpan again. I have to find some old rims for the back of my car (S13 Silvia), any idea where I might find some?

If this is correct, wouldn't that mean they can't look under the bonnet on suspicion you might have a bov or pod filter?

You'll find just before on most tight corners of the GOR there will be a sign with a 25-35kph limit. Does anyone know if these signs are compulsory or just a recommended speed?

I had a great day on the cruise, the weather was perfect!! Didn't get to speak to many SAU members as I joined the cruise at Bunnings and was one of the last down at Apollo Bay (I had the black S13 Silvia). The stretch of the GOR between Lorne and Apollo Bay was easily the most fun, I was driving pretty hard through some bits (too bad about all the slow tourists!) In two or three weeks I and a few other Geelong people will be going on another GOR cruise to Apollo Bay, possibly Lavers Hill. If anyone is interested in coming you are most welcome to. It'll probably be a smaller cruise with less cars, but if enough interest is shown I'm happy to make it a HUGE one with the Nissan Silvia club attending.
