  1. Great info there, especially on the first link.. i love when he says, something like 'other than ...., CRAP!'

hrm... really like to have a chance to actually sit in a car with bilstein coilovers and then compare to the feelings inside a tein super street (which i had)..

Firstly what is it you want out of the coilovers? So far my research has led me to believe:

If you're after the height adjustability and a Dailly Driver only (no track) then you can't go past Bilstein PSS10

If you are going to track the vehicle and have it as a DD as well then Cusco zero 2 or HKS Hipermax III (non sport)

If you want to track the vehicle with the least amount of compromise between track and road then Ohlins DFV as the best (and most expensive) option.

Of course there are options like Moton & Penske but they are usually out of the league of most mortals and overkill for a daily driver.

a good read, check out the "to buy" list:

  2. How did the Vortech SC ended up?

Mate, I'm in Caroline Springs - next door to Cairnlea...It's a dark blue sedan. When it goes on the road, it will have a NISMO-type front grille (getting it painted this week), clear side blinkers (installed this week) & reverse camera; so shouldn't be hard to spot whilst I drive it around the west side. It will also be a theft-magnet once I decide to buy some super-sexy WORK wheels like these...

The car has arrived, got complied, rego-ed, but becos the paintwork is all scratched, it needs a buff by the importer/dealer, so will pick it up late this month. I could have picked it up last week with "poor" paintwork, but trying to defer the car insurance as late as possible...

Overall, I couldn't believe how smooth the whole process was and I bought it off eBay too. Credits to the importer - but then again, I am not a fussy buyer and just need a runaround car.

  3. Less posting address for them, less mistakes/problem(missing, wrong address, damage, didnt post...) IMO

Lets just ship to one of the guys of state, and organize pick up. Less headache for organizer? (i think most ppl are happy with this arrangement?)

Shouldnt have a problem with tax, IMO. Unless we post everything all together..

  5. ouch.. lucky it's only the rim and tyre, nothing on the car itself.. :P

there was a nail in it and i didnt realise. whole tyre was ripped apart from the inside. i was trvelling roughly 120kph it happened too fast. wasnt really a pop but you know what i mean then the smell and i could see burned rubber. then i heard metal pieces scrapping. inside of my rim had to be repaired etc. was going to take pic of the tyre as there was a huge burnt mark where the nail was punctured in. tyre was completely torn in half from inner edge.
