  1. Do you know if the R33 GTR one will fit?
  2. Also, does any one know if these parts from an R32 GTR will fit?
  3. Im chasing the following parts for a mates 96 R33 GTR V Spec - Aluminium Housing or Stub Axle that the bearing hub bolts into. - Right hand Rear drive shaft or CV shaft.
  4. Does any one know if an R32 GTR Aluminium Housing or Stub Axle that the bearing hub bolts into will fit an R33 GTR? Also, does any one know if the Right hand Rear drive shaft or CV shaft from a R32 GTR will also fit an R33 GTR?
  5. Hey guys, Was hoping you could help. My mate has a 96 R33 GTR V-spec and he lost it one slippery night and hit the lower drivers side into some pine garden edging. It caused some damage to his rims, side skirt, some front and rear control arms and the rear cross member/cradle. Everything has been fixed/replaced now and once he got it back and drove it, he noticed a loud noise coming from the rear. You can notice it from around 60km/h onwards and it gets louder as you pick up speed. It almost sounds like an small plane is behind us!! We are assuming it is the diff so we did an oil change and still no difference. The old oil seemed to be at a good level and a cleanish colour however we did notice a fair bit of steel shards stuck to the magnetic bung. Can anyone confirm if it is the diff or not? And if so, can any one confirm how to replace it? Can we just swap the diff centre with another one from another R33 GTR V-spec? Is it an easy DIY job? Has anyone done this before? Thanks in advance.
  6. The coil packs are the same for the turbo'd & NA models. They are interchangeable and can be used in the R34 GTR. Same situation with the Series 1 coils which can also be used in the RB20DE(T) and the R32/R33 GTR.
  7. If you have no igniter module, and the car is a 96, and the coils look exactly the same, then you definitely have the series 2 engine. Also, series 1 coils have the black mounting plate all the way around the coil whereas the series 2 doesnt, only on the ends. These mounting plates look the same as the factory coils. I had to learn this when I purchased some Yellow Jackets for my Series 1 about a year ago Heres some pics where you can see the differences: Series 2 Series 1
  8. We're pretty sure its the Diff. Can any one confirm how to replace it? Can we just swap the diff centre with another one from another R33 GTR V-spec? Is it an easy DIY job? Has anyone done this before? cheers.
  9. I got Yellow Jackets aroud 1 year ago for only $350.00 and they work just as good as splitfires. Received them in only 2 days too from Performance Wise.
  10. I had the same problem about a year ago and then I replaced the coil packs with some Yellow Jackets coil packs and problem solved.

  12. Ive been using Yellow Jackets for around 11 months now and they are still going as strong as the day I put them in. performance-wise has them on there website for around $370 delivered.
  13. from what Ive looked into they arent made in the same factory. Ive also heard that there will be some R34 RB25 NEO Yellow Jackets on the market very soon. Id assume the pricing would be the same as the other yellow jacket models too. This is great news as they are about $100 cheaper than supersparks and about $150-200 cheaper than splitfires.
  14. so whats the best? Seems the Yellow Jackets have the best consistency and price......
  15. Go the Yellow Jackets. They are excellent. Ive had a set in my GTST for almost 1 year now and they have been faultless. They come with 12 month warranty. Delivery was very swift from Performance wise and they are an excellent price for under $400 Ive heard lots of bad stories about the red JJR an superspark type so Id steer clear of them. Heres a thread on SAU where people are comparing them - CLICK HERE Seems to me that the Yellow Jackets are the winners here.

  18. There's a cheap one going on ebay - see here
  19. Thats still around $860/set. Too much $$.. Im pretty sure Performancewise is the only distributor for the Yellow Jackets.
  20. Heres some stats...... Splitfire - 12 month warranty - $630+/set + post Yellow Jackets - 12 month warranty - $350/set + post JJR - 12 month warranty - $400/set + post Super Spark - 2-6 month warranty? - $500/set I also searched the coil packs threads and havent heard of any bad experiences on the Yellow jackets at all.
  21. why purchase the JJR's if you have any doubts? It was only 2 posts ago that someone else sent a new set back as they failed.......
  22. like he said, some were good some were shit. He dropships them from China so I imagine he doesnt inspect them all. I guess he had a few too many complaints so he decided to stop selling them?
  23. What evidence do you have to support your statement? Ive seen both types and they arent superior. my mate has similar mods to me and hes running supersparks without any issues too. difference I see is, the Yellow Jackets are about 100 bucks cheaper and come with a 12 month warranty instead of only 2 months like supersparks do.
