  1. Only thing I've heard of in cessnock was the Revfest car show that was supposed to be in October last year. Held at Cessnock airport was supposed to be a show and shine, 1/8 mile drags and burnout comp. It got canceled a week or so before the show due to nearby vineyards worried about the noise and traffic etc and the effects on their business'. Unfortunately i cant see anything like that ending up happening around here.

  3. Yeah i have heard good things about the racebrakes pads. I guess my main concern with trying the Bendix "race" pads is that they have been around a couple of years now and there is practically no information/reviews on them on the web, plus i have used Bendix ultimate's before and they were possibly one of the worst pads i have ever used. Thanks for the input. Scott.
  4. Sorry to bump an old thread, but.. Has anyone got any reports on these pads since they have been around a while now? I'm about to replace my front rotors/pads, and the brake shop im using is trying to push me towards the bendix "race" pads. Currently i'm using DBA rotors with EBC red stuff pads as a street/track pad, and have been pretty happy with their performance, so deciding wether to get the reds again or try these out. Any opinions?

  7. good point. How much lift can the cams have before the head needs to be machined, its about 10mm isnt it? Im pretty sure im going to use twin turbos, as they are much more tractable than a big single, although you have to love the feeling of a big single coming onto boost.
  8. thanks for the reply Sydneykid. Im just trying to decide how much work is going to be needed on the top end of my engine to get my desired results. I would like the engine to make around 700hp, however i dont want parts to be pushed to the limit to acheive this. I was assuming that i would need a set of cams but maybe the std head castings would flow well enough for this amount of power. Obviously support systems would be suitably upgraded. Any thoughts? Cheers guys.

  10. Hey everyone. Im in the process of building a new engine which will be an RB30DETT, with the RB30 block and RB26 head. I was wondering if anyone knows the power limit of the standard cams, and the standard head. Can anyone recommend anyone in the Newcastle or sydney areas for head porting??? Thanks in advance everyone.
  11. I went and saw the guys at ARGO about rods for my engine (RB30 with 26 head), and he quoted me $2100 for the set and said they were good for at least 200hp per cylinder. He was also telling me about SR20 rods and others they do so i would assume they do RB25 and 26 rods for a similar price to the RB30 rods. He brought some out to show me and they are an extreemly well crafted rod. Cheers

  14. hi guys, just wondering if yous can help me out with some info, Standard injectors on an R32 GTR ....... * are they high or low impedance ? * what is their actual flow rate ? * How much can you normally get a set for second hand ??? * is there any way of visually identifying them ? Also can anyone tell me if the front and rear exhaust manifolds are the same or are they different??? thanks evryone.
