It is cheaper than buying a brand new turbo,,thats if u want something good for your car..high flowing will just replace the interiors of your turbo with stronger parts and makes the housing bigger. u can look them up, im sure theres a thread somewhere here about it,if not, google but if all you're looking for is around 200kw, better off just buying a second hand r33 one

well wen i read your other thread, u said u had a problem with the turbo's wheel. i thought high flowing would fix that..someone plz correct me if i'm wrong.. but yeh, price? you're looking at about 800 to 1500 bucks for a hi flow job..

yeah I thought that could be the case, but ive earthed it again properly, and doesnt make a difference,..im lening towards the timing and plugs Yeah i always put 98 RON in,never 95. I put bp ultimate in the other day and it ran a lot better and didnt hesitate on boost, the idle's still shit tho. my base timing was 15, but i think it's off at the moment, so im getting it reset first. couldnt get a chance last night, so gettin it done on monday. I think theyre jus normal copper ngk one, i got them from status tuning when my old ones kept breaking down on the dyno. Trent said they were gapped to 0.8 i think. I kno its cylinder 5, ive had problems with it before, its like i hear a tick and it misses as soon as i hear it fromn there. Im only running 10.5 psi at the moment, so i'll look at opening them up, one of my friends has a feeler guage

hmm i got the same problem on my 33, but somehow it kinda fixed itself (the shuddering on take off), but the idle heart beat is still there. i just let my fuel run out to real low then put 98 in today, ran a lot better. im thinking of trying this O2 sensor thing, but not too sure..i did change mine about 6 months ago, to a 2nd hand one,if it makes a difference, does that ,mean my O2 sensor is screwed?

hmm,,. ok, the car has still been missing, ive got a new coil loom comin tomorro, my old one's pretty crap anyway so was gonna change it, im getting my timing reset tomorro. but yeh, today my car suddenly started running much better ..i had very little petrol left, was with my friends and left them to go get some gas on the way home, i had a big backfire while changing one of the gears on the way.. anyway, i fill up with premium bp and now its stopped missing when i get onto boost. its still got the idle miss, but as far as driving it, it seems perfect..well anyway,put a smile on my face for now, i'll let u guys kno how i go tomorro

bit of good r33 news today, was drivin down burwood hwy in ftg, at the lights there was a silver series 2 turning and the guy kept staring at my car, i gave him the thumbs up and got the same back

It happened wen u hit 200km/h or 200,000km mileage? anyways, well, with a highflow, they change the wheels from ceramic to steel and i think make the rear housing bigger, so i wouldnt really run 12psi on a stock turbo. It wont add power jus by itself but will allow you to run more boost,,i beleive they can handle 20psi, but obviously ur car needs to be able to handle that much lol. so yeh, more boost, more power, but u wont be able to run more than 12 if u still got the stock ecu.

Wtf? didnt u just buy your car a while ago? thats fkd man..sorry to hear. Did they say u actually need a new turbo? are any pieces of the wheel missing? and did the mechs think the turbo was fkd for a long time(before u upped the boost level)? I'd say just look in the for sale section, there should b some rb25 turbo's..or if u got money, just upgrade. But if i was you, and i had about 800 to a grand to spend, i'd get the turbo u got highflowed..i got a highflowed turbo and its held strong even wen i ran 15psi on it..depends if changing the wheel will fix it and there isnt major damage done.. good luck man Ben

Ok well, took it to the work shop, the vacuum tested for leaks, found one if my IC hoses was leaky, fixed that, i dnt hear the whistling sound anymore.. They thought it had to do with my timing, they also found that my crank pulley wasnt sitting properly on it's key, im getting that replaced or fixed this friday. the car ran a lot better, but the miss came back soon after. It hesitates at cold start as soon as i touch positive boost. Im gonna regap some plugs today or tomorro and see how they go in there. when Im driving it will go alright, and for some time, hesitate off it's head wen i step on it or get on boost, it's also there at idle. The workshop said my timing was off and im gonna fix that ASAP. could that be a possible cause? They did what they could with my CAS and its better than it was before. i noticed that wen the idle is higher e.g. cold start, it wont miss, but wen it gets to normal it will feel like a wrx. So,,im trying the plugs in tomorrow, and fixing the balancer on friday, i might as well try my old coil packs to see if they do anything, the new ones got waranty, so if theyre the problem, im sending them back. quite out of ideas, but i'll see how i go

well luckily, my window was a bit open (very slightly) and the keys were in the ignition, so managed to make 3 coat hangers into a hook thing and somehow pull the lock button on the door.. was lucky, but ur windows are probably shut,,i'd say best way wud b to call a place that does break in for u,,might cost a bit tho if u not a member

my rule wen working on my car is to always leave a window open, that way i'll have to use my keys wen locking it afterwards..ive learnt my lesson too

yeah intake or boost leak,,higher boost can pop hoses off as well,re check everything *EDIT* but then again, wen i did put my car past 12 psi, the turbo screams more coz it spools up more, but it doesnt really at low boost, depends how much i let it spin. are you losing power?
