  1. that sucks man, lucky for the dog he was largish. unlucky for your car. Owners of the dog should pay for this if you weren't doing anything silly.
  2. agreed, But from years of tinkering old cars, I know for a fact that enginbeers frown upon chassis mods. so I assumed welding a perfectly good cracked chassis shouldnt be any different.
  3. My old mans is made in spain. agreed beautiful smooth idle. But my old mans has alot of cold start whirs and squeaks nothing major, just pulley's and the likes that shouldnt make those noises yet, and clutches that clunk, and a useless 6 speed manual where you only realy need 3 gears
  4. last i checked welding of any chassis bits is a big no no for any car. I understand the weight loading thing. we have a custom dual axle trailer with a long ass draw bar that regularly carries lots of heavy stone and concrete products, but has zero load on the ball if loaded well. Nissan sounded quite concerned when we told them it regularly carries heavy trailers. The old RB30 powered racing phatrol still makes easier work of driving trailers than the 200 killerwasps of V6 furry.
  5. cool, so we can leave the servo at 7 and should be at yours by around about then. PM me your address please.
  6. I'm gonna try for lowest power other than the Leopard mine was lowest last year
  7. pics or it didnt happen!
  8. then another 120 back later....
  9. He better be! we need sausage!
  10. what time you leaving there?
  11. im sure this was talked about already. At least its not yours, they're fine as long as you dont have to own it My old mans has had 6 recalls already. That was recently? The most recent recall was for chassis rails cracking if the towbar has been loaded up to much.....Apparently its all to do with the towbar design being incorrect and that causes the chassis to crack...lol. they just put a new towbar under it. Ive also heard many bad things about the diff. My old mans is still ok, other than having a slight whine. But he does drive like a grandpa.
  12. So who's coming dynoing?
  13. WOOO 120km's of highway driving tomorrow morning
  14. This is how I did it last year
  15. young whippersnapper. Last time I came down the blackbutt range was just before the big wet I travelled it many times over a 3 year period. even then it wasnt a bad bit of road....if you didnt find a cattle truck to get stuck behind, even the old kombi was fun to swing up there.
  16. where you headed? and yes, rain generally does that.....Rain is an asshole.
  17. Figured this would happen
  18. Waitcha turn! keen, as long as its wed or thursday good question.
  19. Rainy Day Off? How bout me?
  20. agreed. And can't grout in the rain....i'll have to stay home today, Give the car some love.
  21. Not driving at all. I heard you coming and stuck my head over the fence at the job site. We're building a pool basically behind the old men's sailing pond. on the other side of that green fence.
  22. Hopefully my Bonnet gets re wrapped tomorrow. not sure what time. Early afternoon maybe? Golf is boring, but cruising around a golf course talking shit and hitting shit with sticks sounds like it could be fun Detailing old cars sucks....you find all those extra chips and dying paint that you know you cant do too much about without a total respray. having said that, it still looks good afterwards and well worth the elbow grease.
  23. So you decided you'd show him who's more bogan by ripping a big skid and letting him beat you? Nice work, thats better than a stock GTST. should be some good competition next weekend
  24. so how did it go? happy? other than the mad skids!
  25. I'm not going to disagree entirely. Because i am enjoying the game. But its not the epic greatness it should be.
