...you're not welcome here anymore dude Nah that looks alright hey...but put a spoiler back on...they look weird without anything on...even the stock one will do. Street legal with no drama's ?

OK guys, CEFFY HUDDLE! 5 stud hubs - WHERE CAN I BUY THESE ? I'm hesitant to buy the JJRs from JustJap because of their amazingly low price....but I can't find any others around. Suggestions please?? Today I cut up my stock Ceffy airbox to hold a pod, shield heat away from it and draw in cold air. WA laws are that pod filters need to be secured to the body via two different points. Basically, the pod bolts inside the box (other side of the AFM), hence why half of its cut out....and half of the top is also cut out to accommodate it...so it has the snorkel directing cold air in from the top, as well as 2 flex pipes coming up into the bottom of the air box, which are drawing are from below the front bumper. Now its time for a new K&N M'S....that exhaust leak a few months back killed it for good...I've dispensed an entire K&N recharge kit on it and it's still clogged really badly Pics to come. Other progress is coming along good. I connected a charged battery back up to it last night, wound the windows down so I can take them all out, and send them off with the new quarter panels to be tinted (legal) and so I can get in and sand/prime/paint the insides of the doors and shit. Dash has come back, cut up in a few places from the dashmat maker dudes so I'm looking for a new dash. Re-colored all the solid interior, still getting through respraying all the seats and door trims...but looking better already Next step is to get 5 studs and brake fitment happening and then get it rolling on some black 17" Drifteks, get a 3" turbo back made up (painted black, for stealth spec), bring it back, re-sand and re-prime it (it was fine when I got it but months out in the weather + months in the shed collecting dust and other nasty shit, I'd rather do it again), paint it, tidy up the trim and engine bay and, all done....the light is getting a little brighter now, finally

Interior Door Trim Re-color Help?
Nic_A31 replied to _5C077Y_'s topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
That vinyl dye shit from VHT works awesome, sometimes you need to run over a few layers for the color to set in properly, and you need to let it dry properly but it does work. -
Sounds all good man. Good luck and let us know how it goes

I'd recommend at least removing the caliper and unbolting the brake line holder from the base, so you can rest caliper on the ground or on the lower control arm...then you've got a bit more mobility for sanding and painting.. Taking the calipers off altogether and dismantling them is the way to go though...then you could anodize them ? But yeah, definitely not a fan of these dodgey paint jobs while the caliper is still fixed to the knuckle assembly....stupid half assed idea if you ask me.

Try it and find out ?

A31 Ceiro Roof Spoiler
Nic_A31 replied to frenchy89's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
You need to add a dash ( - ) to the end of the URL / end of the numbers on those links for them to work. eg "post-a175320-" -
It's "accepted" Locally, you can talk to the guys at Fibrevision (Welshpool), and The Spoiler Shop (Myaree) might have them as well. That auto accessory shop in Midland Gate shopping centre can get Monkey Warehouse sh*t in as well. Sometimes come up on eBay but shipping pulls the total cost up a fair bit. I'll find links when I get home for ya, of some Uras style kits under $1000 over East. Talk to Nathan ? hahaha

2008/9 Model Porsche Carrera S Drag Against 350z
Nic_A31 replied to Mr_GaZZa's topic in Western Australia
350 - 375 hp at the crank, less 30% loss pf power between crank and rear wheels, a bit more for the AWDs. -
Some series' of racing did use the VHs and VKs, but most other series' used VGs and VQs. Nismo VQ30DETT puts out the same power as the VR38DETT Remember guys he isnt moving 1400kg of street car, he said atleast 1800 and could be more...he needs torque. VQ30DET produces as much power and more torque than an RB26DETT...so get a bigger VQ block, DE-K heads, twin turbo's and a Z32 style twin throttle body setup...that would eat ANY RB powered vehicle. Otherwise, V8 FTW. Go for a VK since theyre lighter than the VHs.
-
VG engines can handle 1000+hp reliably with stock internals. Nissan used to do it themselves., Nissan chop the competition up all f**kin' day long....Just not with RBs
-
If you bought a $50'000 sports car, would you use it every day? dunno about the lower/base models, but GTS-Ts and GTRs in Japan get alot more TLC than actual driving. Under 100'000kms, even for R32s isnt an unrealistic expectation....rare yes, but there's still a few out there. I'm more getting at how they're used differently in Japan, opposed to how they're used and treated here in Australia.

S13 is 4 bolt and R32 five bolt, isnt it? Or is it different bolt pattern depending on LSD / open centre ?

What Is Everyone's Obsession With Saying 'jdm'?
Nic_A31 replied to Rolls's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Those "JDM as f*ck" stickers are just for laughs, the same eBay sellers also has: "I'm soo JDM, I have this sticker to prove it" in their store as well. -
You have to remember that Skylines havent always been the price they are now. Back in their showroom days, they were brand new sports cars with an insulting price tag. They werent never built or sold to be a daily driver, or cheap....cars like that usually DO just sit in garages and get a drive once a week, if that. Once the owner dies, they sit still for a few years until somebody inherits it and it ends up being exported. What kind of bloke was he? (the guy who bought it at 120'000km) ? The kind of dude that was going to respect the car and its original powerplant? Or belt it up and actually need to do an engine swap ??

Its a way for people to feel like they imported their vehicle and all their parts, and did all their own work. Should see USA based forums, they use the term for just about anything they buy outside of the US. Me and a few mates use the term as a joke. I'm soo JDM, even my FUSEBOX is written in JAP! -
Yeah, my point was more so this guy has a business and he gave those tyres away from the business, not personally...so its highly unlikely HE called a race for them...cops would shut him down instantly if he did that. Maybe the Antilag guys organised a race on their own par, as to who gets the tyres, but no way would that dude endorse street racing. They werent even going fast on the Zig Zag anyway...some where going slower than us...I did see them take off pretty quick from the first meet point, and I could see/hear them being silly a few other times, but thats ... normal Antilag ??
-
Where did you hear of this? Antilag have had some bad image in the past, but they don't full on street race each other, and I'm sure that business owner giving away the tyres wasnt putting a race on. Please check and confirm this before you post it. Like I said, WAPolice are reading all of this...and what you said will batter Antilag, and the guy giving away the tyres. Sorry man, but I call bullshit until I see something solid to back that up.
-
Funny you say that, kind of organizing a cruise with a mate... Not a good idea for these guys to come on here saying they've drifted the Zig Zag either, but they still do. There are forums that WAPOL read alot more than once a day, SAU included...everything we say, especially in events sections, has been read by a cop. Fact.
-
LOL if the next one turns out the same crowd I'm probably not looking forward to it. Drifting, slow speeds like 80kmph, staying on track...its all soo boring to me
-
^^ Mate, everyone including Ash was already doing well over the speed limit, so sit down, don't come in here and complain that somebody obeying road rules is stopping you from being the next drift king in your 33 with Teins (note correct spelling?) and bald tyres. Beyond that, after soo many pussies complained about big angry Kangaroo''s could threaten their pride and joy....I expected people to be driving slower, especially at that time of night.

Eoi Dash Mats (group Buy) For A31
Nic_A31 replied to Nic_A31's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
OK, final test fit / first proper made received today. NOTES: The bit I asked to be left open an unlocked, to tuck in between the windshield and the dash....didn't happen...its just locked up the top, and we'll just have to do with Velcro. The auto headlight sensors...these will be semi cut in the dashmat, but still intact with it....to remove it, just twist it out, or cut the traced line with a Stanley knife....so you folks that have covered the sensors up for whatever reason can leave them covered. PICS: Looking more at 20 Black and 10 Grey at this stage. Any last second Q's, prob easier at this stage to give me a call 0431 598 320 -Nic -
Exactly my point...RBs are great for street performance and mild pro track use....the real pro's go and find other engines...like VQs. Getting power from any engine is easy...but its a whole lot easier when you have more power and response to start with...and in that field, VQs win over RBs, hands down....the RB has plenty of potential, especially built 3.0s...but I think VQs will always have way more horizon. Likewise with the V8s...i test drove a few Q45s and they're f**kin' awesome...gave it a few squirts rolling from 30 and it got to a hundred in maybe 2 seconds ? if that ? not bad for a 4.5 litre engine in an 1800kg car
