  1. If your passenger window suddenly doesnt work one day, dont do like me and open up the panels on the doors and check the wiring and everything only to find you have pressed the power window lock button, duhhhhhhhhhhh! Man I am an idiot! Dont let this happen to you
  2. Its not hard really, I dont know if you have a cable already but do that first. A new one from nissan will be like $100 or u can get ur old one repaired at a gauge specialist, a place here in SA does it for about $70 so maybe there is something similar near you. After you have got ur good cable remove the old one. 1) Take out the gauge cluster by removing the surrounding fascia to get to the 4 screws holding the gauges in, then pull it out slowly and remove the 3 plugs attached. 2) Behind where the speedo usually is you will see the cable end, push the whole thing left-wards out of its clip-in holder. 3) Put the car up on some axle stands and get under the car. Find the other end of the cable which goes into the gearbox approx level with under the drivers seat. Undo the collar with some grip pliers or something similar just to get it going and then you should be able to use ur fingers. 4) The end should come out of the gearbox. Now follow it back and unclip all the clips holding it to the chassis. 5) Lastly is the kinda triangular thing attached to the firewall which you have to undo from underneath as it is a very tight space. There are 3 bolts and you will prob need a small ratchet to get to them. Undo these and everything should be undone. 6) Manouvre the cable out by first pulling it down through the whole in the firewall and pushing towards the back of the car. Then once the gauge end is out, push the whole thing back up through the engine bay and out the top. 7) Basically do the opposite to put the new one in. 8) Make sure to line up the little notch when putting the gearbox end back in. Also line up the square hole on the back of the gauge to match the position of the square peg on the gauge end of the cable, then slide the gauges in slowly so as not to break the square peg. If the hole angle is really different to the peg angle it could snap it. Hope this helps
  3. Well I am missing my passenger one so thats what I was really after but it wouldnt match my clear and orange drivers so I might have got both. So how much did u want for it, the original post said $50 for the pair?
  4. Saw shy033 last night on my way to work. Take off from the lights was a bit noisy with ya wheels squealing for ages, wasnt sure if it was you or the silvia behind you that came from nowhere.
  5. I may be interested but i am in adelaide, but i have no problem organising a courier.
  6. Well i cleaned the aac valve which has helped some of my other issues and I noticed the engine starts a bit easier now. I dont know how long this will last but it seems to have helped at least. Seriously every skyline owner should clean their aac valve, it seems to fix alot of problems :-)
  7. Well cleaning the aac valve has seemed to have helped. I drove around today with everything on (lights, a/c on fast, stereo loud) and also tried stopping quickly at the lights and it didnt even look like stalling. So it has passed for now, but will need more testing to confirm hopefully thats all it was :-)
  8. I recognise that skyline, the one u swapped for a rooted silvia, wouldnt trust this guy at all, sorry gotta be honest and its just a standard bonnet that had a nismo sticker on it btw.
  9. Ok, well i just finished cleaning the aac valve, was way easier than some had implied but then again the tutorial was for a R33 and the R32 is way easier. Havent had a chance to properly test it by driving around with everything on, but hopefully this fixes it cause it has for some others. If not I will have to check the alternator. How would i go about doing this, i dont really know much about that part, should i take it to an auto electrician to test voltage or something like that?
  10. Been looking through the forums for an answer and couldnt find anything. My R32 has been stalling when I have more than one thing turned on e.g. stereo (which is always on) plus a/c, or head lights or brake lights. This problem was bad last night as I had to have the lights on and it was warm so I had the air blowing. When i pulled up at the traffic lights and my brake lights come on, my headlights dim and it would stall when i stop. Then later sitting in the macdonalds drive thru, it just stalled while it was idling, like without warning just dropped. Does anyone have an idea of where to start? I was thinking of cleaning AAC valve (which I am not looking forward to, apparently its hard to get to) or maybe clean coilpacks and check for cracks or get battery tested, so...discuss :-)
  11. Saw a black R33 on fiveash dr this morning as i was coming home from night shift. Was too tired to wave though sorry :-)
  12. I dont think I have flooded the engine, it does start and I have been driving it around its just some days it takes a lot longer. By the way wat is WOT?
  13. Well I have replaced oil and spark plugs just as regular maintenance because it was due. I also cleaned the battery terminals incase that was a problem. This all seemed to help a bit, but it still has its occassional fit. When it decides to be hard to start, it sounds kinda like a rattling, is this a problem or is it the motor just trying to crank. The battery is one of those non-serviceable batteries and it just has a green indicator to show if its ok and its changes red if it needs replacing apparently. Its still green, but could I test if it was the battery by connecting another car by jumper leads and then trying to start?
  14. I am mainly after a passenger indicator for a GTS-t but may buy both to match if the price is right. I am located in SA.
  15. I might have seen the one your talking about, if it was that one it was from November and they are long gone. All I can find are posts from months ago, but I need one now :-(
  16. Anyone? Are these type hard to get, all I can find are orange GTR ones!
  17. I need a R32 GTS-t passenger indicator, looks clear with orange bit, not fully orange like GTR. Mine fell off yesterday, so I need one asap. Located in Adelaide.
  18. I have a passenger seat too, just in case any other deals fall through. Its in great condition :-)
