Thanks, havent tried it yet, as i just tested starting it up again and it started fine without doing a thing. Its weird because this morning it sounded the worst its been and just now it seemed almost ok.

Which one is return, I am guessing the two black pipes coming from near the front of the extractors are the fuel lines. There is a top most one and lower one, which would be the return?

Ok I need some help diagnosing a problem with my R32 GTS-t. Recently it has become dodgy at starting and is becoming progressively worse. When I turn the key it kinda stutters and cranks a bit then stops and then is about to start and then doesnt but after maybe up to 10 secs it will crank over and start. Sometimes it barely does it and sometimes like to today it was really bad. Does anyone have an idea of where to start? First thought went to battery but if that was bad, wouldnt it have died by now, it has been going on for two weeks. Other ideas are starter motor, coilpacks, something else? Also, probably related, engine almost stalls when I pull up to a stop and have the a/c on fan speed 3 or 4. Any help would be appreciated.

So you have to move the pins in the plug coming from the car so they match the dash. Thanks I will have a look. Why cant they just match up.

BTW i got around to changing the cable and speedo works fine now, just have to work out issues with nismo dash, so have standard one in for now. Also for anyone who needs to replace to their cable in the future and reads this thread, I was doing some forum searching for tips on changing the cable and then found out a place in SA called Gaugeworks can fix the old speedo cable and put metal ends on instead of those crap plastic ones so it wont break again, plus its cheaper than buying a new cable, about $70. If only I found this out before I bought a whole new one!

Yeah I see TAM on the old one, and TM on the nismo one but it is one pin lower. Looking at the other plugs the middle plug seems to have a few differences too. How do u change the pin positions?

Actually now that I think about, cant you buy the nismo gauges as just the assemblies without the casing and then you put it in your standard gauge casing. If this is true then would be able to swap just the assemblies. Has anyone done this or know how to do it? Does anyone know what I am going on about?

I have a 260km nismo dash for my R32. Only problem is tacho doesnt work, other gauges seem to work ok. Looking at the circuit on the back, the plug behind the tacho doesnt seem to copy the same positions as the the standard dash circuit. Does anyone know if there are different series of nismo dash depending on the year of the car, my car is from 89-90 so is the nismo dash for a later model r32? Could I swap the gauge assemblies for each gauge out of the nismo set and put them inside the casing of the standard one, or would this not work out since the speedo may have a different mechanism to get to 260km? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Just in case anyone reads this, you wouldnt need a whole new cable, just the inner cable. Gaugeworks in SA do it and replace the plastic end with metal ends. Costs around $70

Have my old standard suspension up for sale; Condition is good for both fronts and one rear, but the other rear has a leaking strut and the top has been scabbed by my friend, but the standard spring is fine. I can give you the fronts as a set $40 the three good ones $60 or three good ones and the bad one. $70 I am in adelaide, but shipping can be arranged.

I have a standard dump and front pipe for a R32 Skyline GTS-t. It used to be on my car but since I have a 3" aftermarket pipe I longer need this. Use it to return your car to stock or to get through roadworthy (This was on my car when it went through regency so it will be approved). Price: $50 Shipping can be arranged at buyers expense. Havent had time to check cable yet, but yeah when i plug the nismo one all other gauges work fine, except speedo and tacho have no movement. Do all the other gauges run off electric signal and speedo is off cable? What does the tacho run off? My car is a '89 R32 so it could be a different series issue.

Ok, anyone know how much a speedo cable is and where I can get one?

Anyone have an explanation why the cable would fail, I dont really know how the mechanism works but I like to learn from my experiences. Do you think I could swap it over myself? and would there be a way to test if that is truly the cause?

My speedo broke a few days ago, and I assumed it was because I had fidelled with it a few months ago putting custom faces on. So I took this as an excuse to get a nismo dash. The speedo still doesnt work on the nismo dash either and the tacho also doesnt work on the nismo, but tacho works fine when I put the original back. One difference between them is the original has a little box with two wires on the back, but the nismo doesnt so this may be why the tacho doesnt work when I change it. But why isnt my speedo working anymore, do i need a new speedo cable???? Please help cause I dont know how fast I am going!
