  1. hahahaha, have been reading it for dayssssssss its coming! just got home from work so here we go again! Stephen where is the beer?
  2. was thinking that, think this is the way ill go just a piece of alloy. Ill have another look at the condenser tomorrow think something up Just in time to see it put together All seals painted in nice gloss black now So after work tomorrow will fit her up (again) get the rad and condenser all back in, add fluids, think about remounting the trans cooler... the list goes on! ill post the pics from the last 2 days up tomorrow aswell
  3. Bonnet - $220 quarters - $95 each headlights height adjustable HID - $290 for both high beams Blue hid - $ 200 for both front bar with clear front indicators with yellow foggies $180 radiator support - destroyed black grill - $100 also, 2 x autech badges $25 each S1 auto trans cooler $30 S1 condenser $30 S1 radiator with shroud $30
  4. I think i owe Jimmy about 10 cases by now! we had to cut the skirts back about 15 mm or so along the whole front edge, also i used the old lower rail as apposed to the gtr one that was on the new rad support. The gtr one had the radiator holder cups welded into position, but no bolt holes for the tie bars and was also too low... I do suggest using a "NEW" rad support if anyone is thinking of doing it this way though, So much easier. If i had a new rad support i would have had it done in a day! Darrin did you have problems mounting the condenser for the aircon? thinking i will have to make custom top mount brackets for it, also what did you do with the gtr bonnet latch support that runs down the front to the lower rail? cut it and drill a new hole? or something else? Sealer is dry so time to go and paint it!
  5. Sold! for beer, pm'd
  6. small? hahahaha understatement! i will post pics tomorrow of the hybrid rad support... anyways all welded in and sealed. Enough for one day tomorrow i will be fitting it all up
  7. Ok so today i started! After a few too many bevies last night a mate and I didnt get around to actually working until 4pm, but we got the car stripped and the old radiator support out. Also started prepping the new one to go in The sea of car parts! Before shot Some of the tools to be used Front bar and lights removed, and the sweet sports horns! Gaurds gone draining the radiator, my brother stole my oil pan so i had to use an old wok and oven tray Things get cluttered very fast! Venting the aircon gas, note the rags over the top to stop any of it from spraying upwards, recommend eye protection Old hinges (black) vs new hinges Jimmy (panel beater) assessing the radiator supports, looks like the old skirts were trimmed back about 15ml and different railends used also discovered that there is no holes in the new rad support for the tie bars to be bolted too. Is there any difference between the tie bars in an s1 vs s2? Point of no return... Jimmy starts to remove the old radiator support Quick fix for lighting... speaker cable Hangover cure... Removal of old spot welds, using a 10ml (i think) drill bit, also note scratching the edges where sealer has been used Rags in your pipes stop things getting in, also tape up the holes after removing the aircon condenser so nothing can get into that silver can. Removing the radiator support, using hammer and cold chisel Unbolting the tie bars Success Off with the old on with the new Preparing the new radiator support Cover your windscreen when using a grinder near by, also have a fire extinguisher handy Getting stuck into it tomorrow so hopefully have it fitted up by tomorrow evening if anyone lives near your welcome to drop in and have a look

  12. I will get some more pics this afternoon when I get home, the rad support is still attached to the old cars skirts and rails buy after a quick look last night it looms pretty straight forward good idea about the metal under the lip too!
  13. I was quite chuffed to see it had a genuine reo the lip I will have repaired and painted black, it's a bit bigger than the stock lip. I "plan" to start this weekend, but before I go to far I will be getting the panels edged and and backs painted so the whole car can be blended in the booth avoiding putting it on and taking it off too many times
  14. they came off the stagea that had this conversion previously, they came with everything else. To me they just look like stagea gaurds that have had bits attached to them
  15. can take a picture of my fuse box if you want mate?
  16. Oh and the splash gaurds fron the inner gaurds have also been customized to actually fit the wheel arches. I will take some more pics tomorrow if anyone is interested.
  17. nice work, tho i do like the stock rear wing thinking about rear bars and skirts tho, i wouldnt mind finding a vspec rear bar and drastically modding it to fit the stag ok some pics from today... Note the welding on the bonnet hinges, looks like a lot of effort was put into getting this car done right.
  18. So my 6 massive boxes arrived today! was like Christmas when i got home from work!!!! took some photos will put them up soon the list includes... genuine front bar, carbon fiber larger lower lip, headlights with eyelids, some crazy looking bosch zenons, radiator support attached to nose cut, genuine bonnet, genuine masa guards, custom bonnet hinges, rear flares and a few other bits. 20. Ok so recently the car has started to develop a problem. If I drive it park it and do something for 5 - 20 mins then come back and try and start it it either wont start or needs to be cranked for a bit with a bit of peddle to get it to turn over. but if you leave it for 20 mins plus it will crank over first hit every time. Cold starting the car is fine first hit every time every morning or after extended periods of time being parked. changed the battery about 2 - 3 months ago to a smaller drycell that i had which is going to be the first thing i test when i find a multi meter. could it be a starter or alternator issue tho?
  21. Sorry it took so long! am at work still here is some from my phone... can take more with real camera if need be tomorrow Car is still together, but can take more pictures when my new front end arrives if you wish, all lights are in awesome condition.
  22. Yeah mate that would be awesome! would be good to catch up with any stag owner, instead of only seeing them on the road!
