  1. Brothels need all the help they can get too... But Help me first thanks for the tips, I've been using wd40 on the threads. I'm able to dislodge the bottom ring and likenu sad it springs freely by hand. It's The top one I find the most issues with. Can't fkn move it at all, i think it's cos of the spilrng tension pushing down on the ring?
  2. just did a suspension swap put in some tein super streets. unfortunately the car is jacked up like a mofo. being a poor sucka atm, i didnt want to fork out $80 for a set of tein c spanners, so i got some generic c spanners from a bike shop. they kind of fit. unfortunately I've quickly come to realise they werent good enough. my hand just kept slipping which resulted me punching my car countless times and bruised and bloody knuckles. Anyways, i think i've done my fair share of swaring and punch. can anyone in sydney let me borrow some c spanners PLEAAAASSEEE! this is killin me. i've tried the hammer and screwdriver trick too, its damaging the rings without much movement at all!
  3. hey mate, where u get your zero2es from? my zero1's are killing me F11kg R9kgs ouch
  4. Looks good man, this will def be the next oil I try ps my last nulon fill turned nice n black after 1000ks...
  5. Hey guys, We all know that Motul 300V is grade V and its one of the "best" but at over $120 per oil change, I just cant afford it. So, I've since used Nulon Fast Flow 10W-40... and it seemed okay. I've been reading this shit so much and could never make up my mind... there was just too much hearsay. So I took the liberty to call some oil manufacturers to get some facts: Nulon - all their fast flow oils are group III and they dont make any group IV's, so its not a "real" synthetic Castrol Edge 5W30 is a group III, the 0W40 is the only group IV in their range So Nulon 10W40 was $68 for 5L (group III) Castrol Edge 0W40 $68 for 5L also (group IV) I think i know which one i'll be buying... anyways, just my oppinion, backed up by some facts from the manufactuer
  6. If you've seen em on a 32gtr, please tell me your thoughts if u dont have a pic! does it fit flush or close to flush with the guards? or is it bitchass lookin?
  7. Hey everyone, just wondering if you've put r33 gtr wheels on a r32 gtr? if so, pics please... does it rub on anything? I cant imagine it would, I've used the offset calculator: Inner Clearance 13mm less External position EXTEND an extra 13mm I've done a fair bit of searching and can't find much. The best I found was r33 GTR wheels on 32GTS... and it looks fantastic Cheers for your help!
  8. man, your r34 has amazing fuel comsumption... mine has dropped down to 17.02L/100km, lol that is SO SHIT
  9. thanks for an awesome day! 1st SAU cruise, was great. Loved the ppl and the vibe... oh and the skylines weren't bad either

  12. like i said, fkn blackhole man... Its been getting some mild thrashing tho... then again its a 32gtr with 300awkw (15psi) but i been driving on mainly 7psi because the car scares me sometimes lol i think i need a new tune for daily drives.
  13. Anyone in Burwood/Strathfield area going to this?
  14. everyone, found this cool free app on the iPhone, basiscally keeps record of all the $ you've spent, when you've spent it, what the odo reading was at the time and etc... pretty handy, i been using it to keep track of oil changes n stuff. i've only had the car for 2 weeks, and after insurance and rego i've already spent $4k... OUCH! I'm glad to join you all in this money black hole aka Skyline. It also calculates fuel consumption and average fuel price and all that jumbo. I'm sitting on 17.25L/100km (32 GTR) @ $1.348/L average. anyways, its called vehical. check it out
  15. So is this a rain hail or shine event? Meant to piss down tomorrow... just want to make sure others are showing up =)
  16. thanks everyone. tune it is then! not very happy with how the boost come on anyways... N1 turbs and boosting @ 5000rpm... super late and uber annoying! should i ask for anything in particular?
  17. Hi everyone, My question is about AFM's and whether it is required on my car or not. Sorry if this question is massively noobish I have a R32 GTR running Haltech E11v2 ECU. It currently does not have an AFM fitted. I was told by the seller that Haltech does not support/require AFM's. The following are reasons why I think I may need an AMF: 1.The idle is mostly around 1100 RPM on norm temp, sometimes fluctuates up and down the revs range between 1000 - 1300rpm. To me it sounds a bit unhealthy - kind of like a ported rotor having a heart attack - its bumpy but a irregular kind of bumpy! The seller said the idle is caused by aftermarket cams & cam gears. 2.On cold starts, the car will choke it self and die if I try to start it without throttle, I have to hold above 1500rpms for about 15-20 secs and then it will stay on without shutting down. 3. At the moment I would say the car is running super rich & using around 19L/100km 98 pump fuel (could just be the mapping?). This is driving normally (shifting around 3500 - 4000rpm) and running on low boost (7 psi). The car outputted 300kws at the wheels (not sure if thats 2 or 4) on 16psi, obviously I know that I will go though plenty petrol with that much power and I accept that. But on low boost thats a bit high ain't it? Anyways, all these symptoms are described in the GTR service manual as possibly related to the AFM... With all this said, my question is: 1. Can you run Haltech ECU with AFM? or SHOULD I run AFM's - is it necessary? 2. If yes, should I get 2 AFM's or is one AFM sufficient? read on the service manual that the car functions fine with just one! Your expert opinions will be much appreciated!
  18. I put Nulon in my latest change... Reading the bottle, it achieves a API rating of SM (highest current rating) and a ACEA rating of A3/B4 which is right up there... and yes it is definately 100% synthetic let me know how u go
  19. Thanks guys, I'll have to check out these places! all have good rep, i've heard ppl mention that haltech tuners are a little harder to find... maybe JEM is the go then Stupid question, but is it possible to run your car without AFM? I'm positive that I don't have AFMs connected... the pods fit straight onto the intake pipes The the idle once warm is ~1100rpms and sounds bumpy (not a good kind - like a ported rotor having a heart attack! ), i can hear the fluctuations in the revs and the needle is not stable. I'm also returning less than 300km on 65L's of PULP on low boost and gentle driving... to me its pointing to Air/fuel & the tune... what do you reckon.
  20. Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the skyline/car tuning scene. Purchased a R32 GTR around 2 weeks ago. It's had a bit of work done by previous owners, mods include: N1 Turbos Haltec E11v2 Eboost 2 Controller Tomei Cams & cam gears Oil cooler & relocation kit Full xaust Aftermaket Intercooler The dyno sheets which came with the car show 300kws at the wheels (not sure if it is all 4's). its had a road tune after the dyno tune, so who knows what the mapping is like now. The car is running okay at the moment, but I cant help but feel that it isn't boosting properly. The car feels fairly flat all the way up to 5500rpm and then it just slaps you in the face with loads of pull… my understanding that the N1's should be delivering power in a fairly linear fashion. Can anyone recommend a good newb friendly tuner in Sydney who knows their shit about tuning with Haltech ECU's??? by newb friendly I mean someone who will take a little bit of time to explain to me what their tinkering with & the general why's and how's Thanks for your time!
  21. How did you go with the Nulon mate?
  22. so what should the normal oil pressure be? I'm pretty noobish too... Mine sits around 1kg/cm3 when the car is warm and idleing, goes up to 4kg when reved.
  23. Thanks for info on wreckers =) been wanting to know my self
