excuse my ignorance, but how would one go about getting a 'certificate' stating their modifications conform to 'safety standard requirements'? if you aren't lowering your car much, is it hard to do? costly?

i have this screen i must be lucky tho, the 'open/close' button works and actually makes the screen go up and down when pressed, so i have a choice of driving with it popped up or not the screen also automatically opens upon start up and closes on shut down... im thinking of hooking up a dvd player in replacement of the cd player that is currently connected to the screen... i've herd this is possible.

fairfield showgrounds is close for me so that would be a bonus!

hey guys, who here's done this? i'm thinking of doing it, how many coats should i spray on at each point and how long do i leave to dry in between coats? with the end result, does it last long? or does it wear fairly quickly and u need to keep respraying it?

im gettin plates soon for mine, you guys think black plates/white text will look good on a white GTT? or should i stick with white plates/black text? keep in mind i plan on getting black rims in future... couldnt find any pics of a white 34 with black plates

here's my ride today after a good few hours of cleaning/waxing tried to take a couple shots to show off the glossyness got a bit of scrape on the bottom left of the front lip, you guys reckon this is coverable by touch up paint if i go to a specialist to get some mixed up?

thanks for the info nisskid, i would be lowering it 2inches is there any detriment to having stretched tyres? i would prefer atleast +22 offset over +30

after speaking to a couple ppl, i've changed my mind, i am willing to roll the guards now if i did 18 x 8.5 front and 18 x 9.5 back would this fit on my car and with wat sort of offset, i was looking at +15 or +22 ? regards to tyres i don't have too much knowledge on tyres atm but from what i've read here for the tyres im after im thinking 255/35/18 for front and for back 265/35/18 would this be a nice look withou being too bumpy a ride?

hey guys been reading through this need help from what i gather (have a r34 gtt 2 door) if im after 18s and want to avoid modifications, safer to go with 18 x 8s ? rather than say 18 x 8.5 or 18 x 9.5 will 18 x 8s also allow me a lower offset? from what i gather this would be the case? and this would mean a deeper dish effect? would this look good? correct me if im wrong also atm my car rides high at stock height, if i get rims i'd lower it a bit... does this help or detract? cheers!

hey terry, couldn't track down that skyline of fernandos with the lenso's on em can you point me in the right direction, sorry couldn't pm as i'm a newb those rims look hot though.. anyone got any pic examples of white skylines with black rims/red trim?

Hey Guys Firstly, as you will notice this is my first post, I am new to the forum and am a first time skyline owner... only just recently got one! My car (pics below) is a 98 auto r34 gtt with nismo kit. I love the kit and also love the fact that this particular one is completely stock, nothing done to it so i can make it my own! please don't flame me for havin an auto, i won't go into any auto v manual debates, it was a personal choice for me. period. I always felt like an outsider looking in when seeing others on performance car forums such as this, my mate at work has a skyline and is always on this place! Now I can really relate, since buying my car I have been on these forums alot, reading through, building up my knowledge base (i can't name all the engine parts, what they do, and how to fix them like most on here). I am starting to look for acknowledgement when driving by and spotting a fellow skyline drivers, I am starting to feel the sense of community which I think is great! It's been amazing how much specific and good advice I've found on this place, not being that knowledgeable, it has helped me make some good decisions. A couple things that have come about because of this forum include: - I am taking my car to Bels Garage for a service this weekend, log books I got were Japanese and wanted ppl who knew what they were doing to see what needed to be fixed/replaced on my newly bought car. Bels has a great rep! - Am also getting a premium autowatch alarm system/turbo timer from security in motion installed based on recommendations here - am going out to buy some Meguirs Tech Wax aswell to make my car look hot! lol Anyways more to the point, I have a question, look at the second pic below, this wasn't taken by me it was from the original ad... my mate who has a skyline says that the rims are 'stock GTR rims'... can anyone verify this? he also told me I could get a fair nick for them sold second hand, they are in as new condition, no blemishes. Just wanted this piece of knowledge for future reference... down the line i intend on getting a nice set of rims and if could make some money off these that would be a bonus. thanks for the help in advance and hope to be welcomed to tha place!
