  1. Sinno: Yeah it's kind of far from me too, but it is close to where i wanted to start the cruise. Plus it so happens that it was randomly called Skyline Place, I couldn't help myself :) Did you want to set up a secondary meet point? I'm still pretty new to Sydney, so I don't know the best spots.

Johnny: Yeah the Sunday thread is pretty quiet, so I didn't know what kind of turn out we were gonna get from the club. For sure I remember you man, how can I forget that giant fireball lol. It was so big that I singed my eyebrows driving through it. And this is the last weekend in a while that I'll have free time, so I figure I gotta stay busy or I'll regret it later.

  2. Hey guys,

Excuse the short notice on this cruise. I thought I was going to work all weekend, now that it's freed up I'm looking for a nice quiet cruise with some of the club.

    Date: Saturday July 16th, 2011

    Time: 10am

Destination: Cottage Point. There's a restaurant there that serves an excellent fish curry. The fish curry is expensive ($34) but there's a lot of other things on the menu that are $15-$20 which are also good.

Meeting point: Skyline Business park (thumbsup.gif) - Corner of Frenchs Forest Road East & Skyline Place

Route: From Skyline Business park head North on Wakehurst Parkway

Continue North on the 10 highway (Pittwater Rd.)

Continue on Pittwater Rd along the coast through Bayview and Church Point

Accelerate slightly down McCarr's Creek Rd

Take a right on Liberator General San-Martino Drive

Take a left on Cottage Point Rd

Arrive at Cottage Point and enjoy some food.

After that we're free to go whereever, home for those of you who'd like. I was thinking about heading down in the direction of Bobbin Head Rd / Ku-Ring-Gai Chase Rd afterwards.

Please find a google maps routing here: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=213914477812390933751.0004a7fb2f4b0517e6230

The usual rules apply here guys. We are representing the club, and we want the general public to associate our cars with respect and responsibility. There will be no revving, burnouts, general mayhem, and especially no shenanigans.

  3. Lol, all of the above Terry :)

Yeah Ben, I was in the black R34. I didn't have a chance to talk to everyone.

The Clios were parked at the lookout and they followed us on the way back down. And when I say followed I mean they were overtaking us pinch.gif

I'm thinking about setting up a cruise for Saturday, I haven't really picked a good spot, because I know some of the better roads have park tolls on the weekend. Any good suggestions? I was thinking of running McCarr's creek road, and making a detour to Cottage Point. There's a sweet water-edge restaurant there.

  4. It's sold out already :(

FYI You can buy it from Canada for CAD$350, which at the current exchange rate is about $340. Or from the US for US$300, which is $280 at the current exchange rate. All you'll need is a plug adapter, because it comes with a power supply that's rated for 100V-240V input.

  5. A friend of mine from Canada is in town for the next few weeks and he's eager to hit up Melbourne and check out the scene.

We'll only be able to go after the 29th though, there are some major work commitments over the next two weekends.

  6. This is normal if you are using acrobat reader. Have a look at the top of the form when opened. There is a purple bar up the top that says you cannot save typed data in this form.

You either need acrobat writer or use a free PDF printer such as cute PDF. This acts as a printer and allows you to save the print job as a PDF.

I was having the same problems. I have PDF Creator installed on my computer, and apparently it won't allow printing of this form. Cut PDF Writer works perfectly well.

Signed up, ready to rumble :)

  7. I still went, caught up with everyone at the pie shop. A huge thanks to the guy who bough me a pie! Like a douche, I had no money. I'll hit you back next time.

My front bumper and windscreen got splattered with rocks by that 33 :(

Oh well, it's all in good fun, time to buy some touch up paint.

Great ride everyone, thanks Gemma, hope the dogs didn't get all whimpery on the long drive back.
