  1. Hey guys I definately want to come to this track day but my s13 is currently getting tuned and so if all goes well I'll rock up and pay cash on the day. Is that ok?
  2. yeah, you're probably right actually...
  3. I would just rebuild the current one...I thought a rebuild would be about $1500
  4. a dyno is never a bad idea if you have the cash as it can give the mechanic and indicator if things are on there way out, eg fuel pump, blocked exhaust etc..
  5. The rb26dett idea sounds nice...Why not do that? You can think whack in a 2wd/4wd switch and have the best of both worlds
  6. does it stall when you're driving or when you come to a stop?
  7. Seen this problem on a 200sx once. One of injectors was leaking pretty badly (actually it was squirting fuel out like a hose) and caused a hydraulic lock. We had to remove the inlet plenumn and pour all the fuel out. Or you could have a broken rod stuck up against the block???
  8. If its backfiring check the following: - Bad engine timinig - low fuel pressure, weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter - blocked catalytic converter
  9. If its surging then check the fuel pump. It might be on its way out!!!
  10. Hi everyone, I've just signed up and have just paid to be a member of SAU. My brother-inlaw is a member of this forum and he and I have have just bought an s13 together to use as a track car and so I thought I should also join. I look forward to all the learning I can gain from this forum and to meeting some of you out on the track
  11. WHAT???? Are u asking how long the motor will last before it dies?? You can kill a motor in no time at all if you don't look after it or a motor can last for 100's of thousands of kms if you do look after it
  12. yeah not too bad but not the best looking thing out there
  13. Well it depends on how much he can do himself. That'll save some $$$ on the labour and maybe have some fun doing it along the way.
