[Modification/vehicles Standards Laws!]

Now the time has finally arrived, and I'm looking at a few. According to the RTA website (apart from turbos etc), "engine modifications requiring an engineer's certificate" are illegal.

is this part of the new laws for p plater's? really can't have much fun can you?

as long as the exhaust isn't too loud (>89~91dB @ 3000 rpm or something along those lines) and doesn't emit too many emissions you'll be fine.

meaning: as long as it's legal, it's legal.

ha ha! yeah, not many positive opinions coming out here eh... I actually thought the nose was a bit small not big though... seems to sit to low / sloped / off shape.

Ando : I'd love a ceffy man... put an rb25 / 26 / 30 det in there, a work shop x kit and some 33 gtr rims and she'd be tough as nails. But not really in a position for any of that at the moment lol!

In NSW they just check that you have it on you... they don't run it on the system or anything so you would have to tell them you where suspended for them to know lol!... most of the time they ask if you have it and if you say yes that's enough, they don't even wanna see it.

ask them if they have panels etc, BOV's, interior pices... if you can get pics and post them here i can see if i recognise them.

give them a story like you've crashed your R or it's just arrived and there's some damage / theft from warfies etc...

The only thing there that doesn't match my car is the air resivoir (as mines in the lounge room at home)

In particular, my unique parts would be things like the gear knob, BOV adapters (never seen anyone with these - annodysed blue), there was a castrol badge on the lid of my ash tray, some stickers on the inside of the bonnet... other than that pretty average stuff.

I think i will just put some 19's or 20's on the 1 i get and not the bodykit so I wont have to worry about going uo driveway/carparks and hitting the kit I have to with the R33.

How are they as a daily driver? Are they good on fuel?

i havn't got 2 years worth of costs details to put here but in those 2 years i got:

*New wheels + Tyres - $3,500

(needed tyres - wheels for the sake of it)

*New clutch - $1,300 (ish)

(Basic style - little better than standard)

*Servicing - approx. $300 every 3 months

*Coil packs - $600

(never got to use)

*Repairs after attempted theift - $400

i was getting a celsior when i was selling my GTR... i liked the pimp look to them. dumped on huge chrome rims with dark tint and you have one kick-arse cruiser.

havn't had experience with the 2 though so that's all the input i can give lol!

they usually come with a toggle switch but i'd probably get a little button that you can hold in and automatically releases (i'd imagine it easier to use )

yeah, factory flare... you'll see the little holders on the kicker panel in front of the ecu for it dunno if mine was still in the car or not to be honest... always wanted to set it off lol!!!
