Word of advise Andrew, as you are having the rear subframe main bushings replaced (whitelines are excellent value for money and will ehance your ride) consider having your rear diff mount bushings replaced at the same time. I have installed Solid Diff bushings front/rear and I am very happy with the result, would not even know that they are not poly, no vibrations, no extra noise, never have to change them again! OEM's tend to tear easily.

R34 Gtt - Cuscomz 1.5 - Too Harsh For Street?
lowbro replied to lowbro's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have been using the PENRITE 140w with the 150ml additive Total $32 I have experimented with many oil types but sticking with the 140w, never the NEO oil though? at this weight they should be fairly similair I would expect in operation? My mixture would be (diff takes 1.2 ltr's a oil) top up 1 ltr of 140w with all the additive (150ml) and fill diff, add more 140w to get the level to the filler hole so 85/15%ish mixture. -
These Coil-Overs Any Good?

In all honesty, if you are looking for a bargain make a purchase for BC coilovers or HSD TT's for street, you will be happy at the end of the day. -
Hi All, Wondering if anyone out there can offer some input or experience with my current dilema: Since installing a 'Cusco MZ 1.5 Way' centre my ride has become very harsh, mostly because of the diff when at low speeds/cornering/parking/angles etc. Recently the clutch plates of the diff have been re-ordered to decrease the v-ramp steepness, this change has not really decreased the harshness at low speed operation at all. My current set up: R34 GTT Sedan Cusco MZ 1.5 with 140w oil+LSD Additive Subframe bushes have just been replaced with noltec and also changed to uprated diff bushings Rear bushings are all whiteline offsets with factory control arms TEIN SS's coilovers I am wondering, what can be done to eliminate the harsh movement/pinking noises that I am experiencing in the rear end of the suspension (subframe/diff/shocks etc) Would the TEIN SS's be just too soft in terms of spring rate and thus allowing too much movement with the operation of the LSD, should I go solid diff busings and even solid subframe bushings? BTW - Removal of the subframe is a real pain ITA, but more labour intensive than hard, so I want this to be the last time I have to take it out Yes my diff centre is suited a lot more for track usage, but to have both wheels fire up on tap when needed is truly AWESOME! So I am wondering if anyone out there has a similair set up in their street car, have experienced my dilema and have had any success with alterations or fine tuning of their setups? Don't really want to go back to stock VLSD this would be taming the BEAST!

BC's are value for money, comfortable ride, great construct and tuning options. I would definitely purchase another set without hesitating! Add decent sway bars F/R and they perform well in the corners, the only fault I can think of is steep driveways may leave you with one wheel off the ground.

I agree with not over complicating things, but the lock bar is what everyone does to eliminate HICAS, and I would like to remove HICAS altogether. The rear toe arm bushes/tie rods need replacing and these are not cheap OEM parts and there are no aftermarket replacements, which is a real shame. I also wanted to renew the subframe, sandblast, repaint and install, it's my daily so don't have time to warrant all that work ; ( +1 for the cheap option though!

Hi All, I am looking to purchase an R34 non-hicas rear cradle to replace my current R34 GTT one a. to completely remove hicas b. i want to replace cradle bushes and rear diff bushes anyway, my mechanical locker diff is really getting a lot of movement from the subframe Questions? Has anyone done this and/or can offer all the advise on the below? R34 GTT Rear Suspension - front/rear upper control arms, A-Arm and toe rods/hicas unit R34 GT Rear suspension -front/rear upper control arms, A-Arm and lower control arm and is that it, or is there another steering component here? Can I just use my GTT hub connector assembly for all the non-hicas arms to connect to the sub-frame, or do I need to change and use the non-hicas hub parts to connect the arms to the GTT hub etc. I know I could just get the hicas eliminator kit from the UK, drop the sub-frame and do the bushes, but thought I could re-new a sub-frame and get it ready to just swap out and eliminate hicas altogether, happy days ; ) Cheers
