  5. +1 18x9s with +30 (GTR fitment) or a staggered set so at least the rear gets filled up on the sedan, go 9.5" on the back if you can, bigger the feet the better on RWD!

Hi Dan, Yes at first I had thought that it may be turbo outlet related with the noise that was made but it so sounded like it was coming from the box, I did the park in the garage trick last night and the whirl/whistle noise was only there for a very short period before operating temps got up there and nowhere near as noisy as the last few morning, and guess what I have also noticed tonight, there is a dump pipe bolt missing at the turbo housing, so you could be exactly right that when it is really cold and the metals have not expanded before everything gets to op-temps then air could be making its way out and making this bizzare whirling/whistle type noise. And guess which one it is, the darn bolt that is near impossible to get at on the inner/top right when looking into the bay from the passenger side ; (
  7. All, The last few mornings in Brisbane has seen the temperature drop. My manual gearbox/clutch has experienced the strangest noise over the past 2 monrings while driving before all lubricants get to a decent operating temperature in my 34gtt coupe. The noise is very hard to explain, but almost sounds like a kettle on the boil with a slight whistle when you give it some gas and when gauges get to operating temp it just stops, any ideas? *kind of sounds like air is being pressured out of a blow hole or something when you give it some gas in any gear!! I know that the clutch needs a change soon, (standard clutch) and I am wondering if a component/bearing is feeling the cold weather?? I am parking it in the garage tonight to see if it is just temperature related as it has only happened on the last couple of coldest mornings. Anyone out there had a similair experience??

  14. The RB25DET in the R33 has a different head than the 25DET NEO for coil packs so they won't fit.
  15. I have 2 x sets of Superspark Coils here to suit RB25DET NEO engines that I no longer need in almost new condition! To suit R34 GT/GTT and Stagea with NEO engines Set 1 on the Left $350.00 - have only travelled 1300km's (came out of my 34 GTT) Set 2 on the right $320.00 - have travelled less than 3000km's (came out of my 34 NA) I only have one original box can't find the other, so first set sold will be in original packaging. They were installed/used for less than a tank of gas when getting my TEIN's rebuilt recently. I will make this one easy for you from my experiences Street - A bilstein set up if you don' t like coilovers with height adjustment, TEIN SS's latest model will be very nice and a very comfortable ride indeed, BC BR's or RS's if you want a reasonably firm ride with good adjustment! I have had all of the above in my 34 sedan, all are and have been a great set up, currently running my new BR RS's from BC, love em and really transfers the weight well, a little soft for hardcore track work but nice enuf. Drift/Track work- Go for a coilover with higher spring rates 10/8kg or more if you like it ruff. HSD would be good value for money here. Hpoe this helps!
  20. Hmmm, I figured the option has not been re-manufactured yet, cause japan/usa have not come up trumps so far with my searching/calling. A lot of good uprated parts in the US, just nothing for GTT. Could get the CV's re-done I guess, too many $$$ have been spent on the diff and rear suspension setup already to change now (all the work done myself to keep costs down of course, Body Still Huurts!) I was also of the opinon that the running gear on the GTT is engineered the same as the GTR option and can handle a beating, just slightly different set up with cradle/diff etc?
  21. +1 for the 1.5way LSD option - DriftPig or not My Cusco MZ 1.5 in my 34 sedan performs like you would not believe, although the whole rear end has been set up to accomodate this agressive diff. 2 way I think you would cringe each and every time you full lock at low speed, not to mention how much damage it would do to your OEM bushings LOL! To offset my agressive diff I had to rip out the subframe, install new cradle bushings, solid diff mounts and the driftworks hicas removal kit, now she is very happy, the odd pink and clunk at full lock low from the cradle/diff, but she puts down very solid and is sooo predictable, beware of the rain haha it is like driving on the ice!
  22. G'Day! Anyone out there know of any business's in Aus that can offer new/uprated cv joints/axle shafts for the R34 GTT 2WD model? (Hub to diff axle) There seems to be a lot of items out there for GTR and at really good prices these days from aftermarket sellers, better than buying OEM new from Nissan, but none for GTT models ; ( Nissan want $700-900 a side from JAPAN, surely we have some onshore business's that can do an uprated item at a better price to suit?
