Hey Guys, Going to be putting a system on the GTR.. On my old car I had a straight-through 3" exhaust system, standard 3" hi-flo generic muffler. It was absolutely kick ass, looked nice and simple, sounded great and I loved how understated the muffler looked. It did the job and worked great and cost me a lot less than using a brand name jap muffler. Infact I thought my system sounded better than guys who owned the same car as me and had brand name mufflers. So can someone please convince me why I have to part with the extra cash? Is this a true example of the law of diminishing returns? How much better are the brand name mufflers for performance?

I think once nissan make a shitload of money (like they are at the moment) they will get back into making awesome cars once again.. maybe around the 2007 mark. The V35 is better than a 350z, so why is everyone so dissapointed? Oh I know, because they cant afford one, and they cant afford to put a twin turbo kit on it. Ya sooking babies!

rrrage: I think thats probably the most common line out of this entire thread Hell i've even been known to say that line until I realised that GTS-t's are actually only a small margin behind Silvias in regards to performance. I encourage virtually any worthy friend who asks for advice on what car to buy to go for a GTST. Though a mate of mine just picked up a TT 300zx instead of an r32 because he thought gts-t's are too common these days. Plus I have the r32 GTR, so he had to at least get a twin turbo

I guess theres a few of us who have mechanical sympathy and refuse to try our best to break a perfectly decent engine for the sake of being the coolest kid at the maccas car park. Weird.

Kamikaze: have you ever owned an F50, or F360.. or ANY Ferrari? What part of 'he had to take it back because it was having mechanical prbolems 12 times in 6 months' did you miss out on? I have been in this thing as you could hear the engine shutting down and only running off 4 cylinders. Its makes your cars old engine failure seem pretty miserable in comparison. This guy in the video clip has a stolen car, stolen money or he doesnt realise how much that thing is going to cost to fix once the engine blows up Have you driven a ferrari? I'm quite sure your answer is no to all of the above, so tell me where you formed this expert opinion that you can thrash them all day, and they will be fine.. Where in your experience have you learnt that these are indestructable thrashing machines? I dont mean to come across as harsh but my opinion comes from real world knowledge and experience, not something I pulled out of my left ass cheek. Btw I was getting 50kb/s from that site.. 11.7mb in about 2-3 minutes.. dont know what your complaining about.. :headspin:

Its exactly like this expert at the party I was talking about when i started the thread.. they talk about cars as though they have an unlimited amount of money and they are experts. The reality is the guys a broke uni student driving an old corolla who is trying to impress the two blonde girls with big breasts that arrived with me, the skyline owner. Instead we all just laughed at him and he was treated like an annoying peice of crap for the rest of our evening.

Its funny.. they say GTST's are slow, but compared to what? a GTR? The person asking the question probably drives a corolla in real life and has a done up GTR in need for speed underground 2.

Thats not very cool. How hard it it to find a car park and lower your risk of doing $100,000 worth of damage? A guy I used to work for owned a Ferrari F360.. it was not modified but he thrashed it quite hard pretty much everywhere.. went back for repair about 12 times in the space of six months.

aktive: I used to quite like the question in my old turbo silvia.. after I annihilated a bloke in a done up 180sx running 12 psi he was most unpleased to find out that he just got his ass handed to him by someone in a different model of the same car/engine running stock boost. Just tell them something thats completely unrealistic like "75 pounds" and test their stupidity.
