Just thought i'd correct you there: it is very possible to bring in '89 model gtr's for that price including compliancing costs, however they wont be in very good condition. Your correct in saying the more you pay for an 89 model gtr, the better the condition of the car. $29k will import you an 89 GTR in almost brand new condition with less than 50,000 km's on the clock with service history. By the way your pics in the original thread wont load??

Hey Guys, I bought an r31. It's a 90 model metallic blue Executive.. Yes its an auto.. but damn I found the manual boxes in these things almost too much work, and the trim on the GX's where nowhere near as good as the trim in the executive. Plus I got a really good deal on the executive, and being a runabout it's a nice change just being able to point it and plant the foot. It's in fantastic condition and has about 165,000kms. Only cost me $3.5k.. A VL In similar condition would have cost about 5.5k.. with the money I save I could easily drop in an rb20det.. Am I right or am I right? Screw VLs.

Hey guys, Just buying a cheap runabout now that i've sold my car. I need something that will get me around while I import either a TT 300zx or r32 GTR in the next few months. The less money I spend on the runabout the quicker I get my sweet car, so the cheaper the better. I would prefer to keep driving a manual. I am thinking of the following options: - Skyline r30/r31 - Datsun 1600 - Swift GTI - Early 90s Pulsar (boring!) What kind of r31 should I expect to get, what is the preferred model, how much, what condition etc. School me up I need to buy a car this week or early next week.

Hey boys and girls, While I wait for my r32 GTR to arrive, i've gone and put down a deposit on a Nissan Bluebird SSS Attesa to drive as a runabout. Same engine as my silvia, an sr20det, however its east/west, uses a ball-bearing turbo, has AWD and hauls ass for a 'family' sedan! Unfortunately the car is an Auto, but i'm getting it for a fantastic price so i'm picking it up anyway. I was just wondering if : 1. anyone knew about getting automatic/manual conversions done specifically on one of these cars 2. there was a specific bluebird/sss/attesa forum anywhere like NS/SAU.. ( I dont think there is! ) 3. any SSS Attesa owners are here who can provide some info on the car and last but not LEAST 4. does anyone know a mechanic at the GOLD COAST who can take a look at the car for me and make sure theres nothing seriously wrong with it, get a compression test done etc. Who would you recommend?

I agree with KILL HSV. Series 1 s14's look like dog balls. Even when compared to s13's. (silvia/180). I dont know why you would extra pay for something that looks like a tennis couches car and drives slowly. I guess its the same argument between r32s + r33s

Hey Kamikaze.. FYI I've never been an s13 that has had a sunroof. And i've been in 5+ I also dont remember seeing any other s13s for sale with a sunroof unless its aftermarket.

Easy: Buy a car thats quicker than both of them.. An s13! Infact i'm selling mine as I'm upgrading to a GTR. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=49019 looks better than the s14, is quicker and is more throwable than the s14/r32, even in stock form.. you'll also have enough money left over to spend on mods to make it a weapon. R32 wins the looks prize, but buying an sr20det s13 for 13k and buying a fmic, pod, boost controller with change to spare.. the car will murder the other two.

Hi Demon, There is a mechanic down the road from me who is looking for EXACTLY what you are selling. He has had an r33 gtr with a stuffed engine/transmission in it up on the hoist for almost 10 months. He has physically not been able to locate an r33 front cut for a GTR and would happily pay $12k just for the engine+running gear.
