  1. Yes, you're correct... the S2 Stagea ECU SHOULD fit the R34, but you'll loose traction control and probably Air Con... but it may be a different plug, so maybe not... Same reason the S2 ECU doesn't fit in the S1 Stagea If you're looking for an ecu, i would suggest you join the Facebook group "RB 20/25/26 South Easy Qld Parts for sale"... there are always R34 ECU's on there... just post a WTB. I would have had one spare i could have sold you, but a guy didn't come through, so i only have one on me at the moment. I'm trying to buy them up when ever i seem them for sale
  2. Yup... it actually seems to idle better! Car runs 100% as normal mechanically, but the A/C doesn't work, and you get an error light from the traction control... Everything else seems to run 100% I ran the 34 ECU for about a week and it boosts well, idles well, runs well, starts perfect
  3. Weird... my stock ECU runs the AC fine, nice and cold. Theres another thread where user fmlycar is running a power fc and can't get his air con working as well I'm going to test the outputs of pins 21 and 14 across the volt meter and check the difference between the two ecu's just to be sure...
  4. I'm running a R34 Gtt ecu and my AC isn't working either... A solution to this will be awesome!
  5. Spoke too soon... The A/C doesn't work... has anyone figured out how to get the A/C running?
  6. Installed another R34 GTT ecu with part number 23710-AA500 and it works perfect. I'm sure it's pretty safe to assume that any R34 GTT Ecu will run a S1 Stagea! Now it Nistune time!
  7. Do you still have the ECU's available? If so can you provide the model numbers please?
  8. Ok! Got a ECU from a 99-00 R34 GTT Manual part number 23710-AA502 and it plugged straight in and ran no problems. Only had the Check engine light come up because of the traction control issue, but the reverse light on my dash light up and everything. Sold it to a mate who needed it urgent and he's had it nistuned and is running in his S1 Stagea perfect Looking at a manual S2 Stagea ECU part number 23740-0V801. I'll plug it in and see how it goes and report back.. but its looking like you can plug the 34GTT ECU's in without an issue, and they're nistunable. Which makes sense since you can plug the R34 Power FC in and they run fine
  9. I'll be in for an S1 one please
  10. Looks like that model is from a S2 neo Stagea... will they work? Are they the same as the R34 GTT? Anyone know? Thanks for having a look for me though! Didn't think to check Trademe... My mum is going back to NZ in a few weeks so she can pick it up if I get it!
  11. Yeah, I think it will be the "Secret Squirrel" pin 51 3.6-3.7v feed trick that is used to get around the same issue with the PowerFC's I've looked everywhere for a 34 GTT ecu but can't find one! for everyone's refrence in the future, if you are having issues with engine check light with a 34 GTT ecu or PowerFC, this link should fix it... http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/175032-power-fc-in-a-25t-rs-four-s/
  12. My Bad... I was talking about 34 before... got mixed up Looks like the R34 GTT will plug straight in?
  13. AWESOME! thank you guys! Will check it out If its close I might even just buy a 33 GTST ECU and give it a go and report back
  14. Pic of the hole for reference... I'll get a pic it welded up pipe at some stage Still need to run another boost leak check just in case, but seems to be running much better
  15. Found a HUGE hole in my intercooler piping where it looked like it was cut with a grinder! But i got it and about 4 other spots that were thinning out welded up... Now it pulls like a champ! But i'm now having issues with overboost (running a turbosmart eBoost Street)! Back to the whole ECU question, does anyone have the pinout of the S1 Stagea ECU? Or know how to identify what computer you have (i've read that there are about 3 the S1 stageas run)? Want to compare the pinout to a R33 GTST pinout. I'm very very keen to run a Nistune
  16. Looking for a drivers side hook that's in the boot. It's right beside the tailgate... Its the hook the Cargo/tonneau cover hooks onto to stay shut/up As circled in the following, but just the drivers side
  17. If you can hold on to them for a week or so, I'll take the rears?
  18. That looks AWESOME! so tidy... Love it. I like the eyelids black!
  19. STILL no power/pull from 4k to 5k... going to give it another test again today
  20. Took my pipe to a welder who closed the hole for $10. Put it back on with some rubber washer things on the mounting bracket to stop it happening again and boost leak fixed! I'll be giving it a test again tomorrow to see if it has more, but i'm pretty confident that's my issue!
  21. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a welder on the Gold Coast who will weld up a 5mm crack in some ally! I've called about 5 places and they don't pick up! useless!
  22. That's one is pro! I don't have a welder so I can't make anything out of metal, and the wife has me on a budget... had to go the PVC pipe hahahaha! So put my ghetto compression tester on and found a gaping hole in my intercooler piping where the bracket that mounts to the side of the engine is welded on! It was leaking so much I'm surprised it was making ANY boost! Its cracked the pipe on the bottom of the bracket, and has a small hole/crack on the top as well so shouldn't take too much to weld up... hopefully it'll only cost me like $10, then I'll give it another test!
  23. Update! Made a pressure testing... device? Used a 3.5" pipe with thread and cap, a peice of step down pipe so it will fit almost anything (3.5", 3", 2.5" and 1.5") and a Tyre valve from supercheap... Glued the step down to the 3.5" pipe, and used thread tape for the cap. Drilled a hole just smaller than the thick part of the valve and sqeeeeezed it in. Will give the stag a pressure test either tonight or this sat
  24. Yeah, Vacuum/boost next on the list... my FMIC is pretty banged up from previous owners, so i'm sure it'll need replacing.
