  1. My F*cking god, but that looks like a nasty crash i saw a (darkish) yellow skyline (33 or 32) with yellow rims. looked awesome. seen in rockingham. is it anyone from this forum?
  2. sorry that should be 26dett pressure would be about 4psi
  3. any cheaper without the dump pipes and wastegates?
  4. hi guys, i want to know, how fast do turbo charger's normally spin? or more accurately, using RB20dett engine for example, whats max rpm the turbo can do before blowing up? thanks BB
  5. turbo chargers are $300 both or each? whats the model of them?
  6. is the turbo for sale? if so what model and how much?
  7. The only reason im still hanging in here for advice is because these members probably saved me from making a mistake, 'or a statistic' im listening to what people are saying and taking advice readily, otherwise i would have just bought a skyline already and probably been interviewed by aca haven't you been following the thread? thats what ive already got. and after a discussion with mum, she wants to sell it and buy a merc. so ill have to make my decision with a car very soon
  8. wow that backfire is massive!!! awesome vid
  9. son of a b**** - the lady gave me a red P set only... and she knew i was old legis... damnit
  10. or an 85 skyline? they're fairly cheap now and still have the retro-ness i love
  11. well i got my L plates in jan 08. but only did my phase one test in march this year, then did 25 hours and passed HPT, to get provisional license, that was the old legislation?
  12. well id like a skyline because i adore their look, their sound and their performance over reliability but ill take someones advice, is to buy a non turbo say R32 or 33 with stock everything and as i get more confident as a 'good' driver then ill consider upgrades, then again if a stock skyline is enough power for cruise speeds and metro driving then it wont need to be upgraded that or i should buy a ford and put the skyline body on that
  13. do you know how long RED's Ps last on the old legislation?
  14. http://www.aussiev8.com.au/questions-boys-...my-licence.html there it is! who said anything about weaving in and out of traffic? im talking about the accord going from stationary to moving (at like a T or + intersection), and if some coot is speeding i cant get out of the way. umm and im sure i can afford the costs with a skyline, otherwise id be going cheap us or chinese cars... and i know making the courses made me a better driver, but not a better 'stunt puller', and i think we've learned through this thread and my past experiences its not th way to go, all be it with a skyline or ford ect... the sarcasm is overflowing here.
  15. aslong as your not doing anything stupid you wont need to have them repaired or serviced as freequently, i mean my cuz's 535 is old, 91 or something and it serviced every 4-6 months. reliable little bugger with only battery and light changes and i think i radio swap, with about uhh 250,000 clocked in its got another 250 to go
  16. i dont like the look of the 350s, im after a combination of looks and power (as most people are) and to be honest the new 350gts look like a stuffed up mitsubishi, im talking about the ones without the retro rear lights i dont always try, the very first time i ever tried to do it was straight after the TEE, last exam i was done and happier then ever, and just felt on top of the world. on my street i saw a ford pull a fish on the corner and i thought that looks like fun but i couldnt do it. but its not the hooning thing that calls for a skyline, for example in traffic, i cant go between 2 cars (at about 60km/h) if they are less than 120m appart, the car just cant pick up that fast which ads a good 15 mins to trip to and from uni. i think everyone / or i have said it the wrong way, im not going to be 100% trashing and/or skidding in my skyline, i respect a nissan SKyl as a performance car more than a trash heap holden, and if i was in the mind set for serious trashing and crap i would seriously just get a holden or ford because - *sigh* - when i do get my first car the whole wave of responsibility will surely arrive, and it pretty much has, sinse about june and now i havent tried to do anything with the accord (because i know it cant) and i know its not my car, and if it was my car i wouldnt be doing it 24/7. i did the advanced courses 1 and 2 (3 months each) on extreme handling (how do deal with break failure, and actually put it in practise, what to do if steering doesnt respond ect..) - in a manual suzuki swift, that was fun..... but im not a junky for the skids. but i would like to find out more about these events? would they be in SAU news? well i should elaborate on that, its excelleration is terrible with the traffic and 2 cars thing, the handling is very subborn and (its auto) it changes gears waaaay too early @@@ which is half of it's acceleration issue Like ive said many times since the first flame, im not a junky for these things, i just want to get moar experience with skylines in practical, i mean ive been in my cousins car and driven it (to drop off and pick up at the airport), a BMW M535, thats fkn powerful, but the urge to odd skid in that isnt there, and also im to scared to do it. and i guess what i mean about this accord not doing anything is not for the 'hoon' stuff, but more or less a car that can actually drive! hence me a skyline
  17. wow... ahh i was thinking more a safety issue. but hey if they're gonna get all pissed about noise wait till you live near the leach why truck lane... on a steep hill... my gran lives there dont know how she stands it... ah but shes pretty much deaf
  18. THATS IT! the name nissan and the classic skyline lights (at the rear) is what ive fallen in love with - right from the 80's models when those lights looked sooo retro! love em! yeah, ive seen an M325, christ they can fly, and non turbo aswell hell i wouldnt mind an M3 myself, but i dont have a spare $59,000 - but even an engine upgrade costs over $25,000 and thats second hand
  19. ayeyeye.. i think you may be getting the wrong impression bottom line is for me, hooning... not so much thanks. can live without cop bait i mean - this accord cannot do anything at all. its due time for a new skyline and im a fan of and been interested in skylines... which is most likely why i joined these forums... nissan skyline it most likely will be (95% sure) and i would just like to be able to see more skylines... simple. none of the extra prps hooning stuff [oh whoopsies double post,, sowwy]
  20. goodness no, as stated first post i dont want to be the one driving, and thats not what im focusing on - im more for performance and reliability ect as for the porches and BVs, well its the rich who ride the name further than the car.
  21. yeh, personal satisfaction . and i sure as hell wouldnt dare do it with a passanger or with other cars around, i couldn't really care much if it was a police car, but if i had lost control and caused an accident, i could be living with more than a dent in my car. and for me its certainly not a show off thing either. owning a performance car comes with its responsibilities and im very aware of them but here comes the rant of preference. if none of you guys (speaking on the 99% of nick's behalf) are into, or like trashing, skidding ect... why have you all got nissan skylines? why not just get honda accords like me and my family? christ we pulled this off topic all i want to know is if its possible to get a ride in / see a few skylines so i know what would be best for me before i blow all my money on one
  22. *sigh*... L/Tc, skids, slide, drift, standing... ect.... i think your taking me the wrong way (the whole "while im trying to do a fishtail) explanation doesnt mean im trying 24/7, i was just trying to compare the stereotype of what a honda vs skyline would be doing on a road at night. (i gained that stereotype from the skylines i see in OSB park, all trash except a red GTS33.) after doing the ADv/C1 and C2 courses i find it fun to handle a car, and, im not/dont see myself trashing, skidding at every turn of my driving. no way. i want a perf car so i can do the odd turn, but to my satisfaction. if i wanted to appear like a wanker, with almost no money, a bad attitute and f/a knowledge on perf cars i would have joined the "holden commodore with broken tail light in balga" forums
