  1. yeh but have you ever done it before?
  2. what im saying about the accord is its rate of excelleration is cr@p (0-100KM/h in 45 SECONDS!!!! YAY!!!!!)... with ASC turned off i still cant get it to do crap all, which is why i want a skyline but i dont know which one because i havent been able to 'try' or really 'know' a skyline too well
  3. 1) - well yes they can, its totally at your expense, it even costs for towing and storage. hmm i know traction loss and excessive speed summarises hooning, but revving too hard doesnt ring any bells. for all i know you could be reving your engine up to 5K for the fun of it. dont see how it can 'risk the safety on the road for other drivers', or either if you chose to get to 60km/h in first gear, (revs would be about 5-6K), aslong as you dont lose traction or exceed 60km/h i dont see how its hooning. 2) i think - me thinks you could be reffering to the 'pits' - the pits is where cars go if they are modified, imported or given a yellow sticker (a yellow sticker is issued by the police if they think your vehicle is unroadworthy, ie damaged and/or illegally modified) it is again totally at your expense in money, (and especially in perth) TIME! police are targetting performance cars. while im doing my best to fish tail or drift a roundabout in the family's honda accord, the police would be more interested in a performance car, who could very well NOT be hooning or attempting to hoon. To WA police, a performance car is pretty much like walking through an airport with wires sticking out of a jacket
  4. As some of you guys know, im saving up for a car (in which will be most likely a skyline) R33 or similar. The only problem is ive never ever seen a place that lets you drive nissan skylines of the R3 series, you can drive those shitty 350GTs but im not interested in them In saying that im only 18, on Green Ps, drive the family's Honda Accord (no matter how hard you try u cant fish tail it - not even wet weather ), and ive only ever been in one mate's skyline. But in itself i doubt many people would let an 18yr old in the seat of their 25k+ skyline. so i was wondering is it pheasible (possible) to tag along on a cruise or something? let me see, hear and ride a few skylines!!! ill chip in for fuel too
  5. dont forget: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuilHgp-vUc - that occured in WA too remember, the police are more experienced drivers, and have completed numerous driving courses and this is my favourite: the news reporter sums it up in the first 2 lines: ------------ and where the hell are the police when you need them??? the place i work at got broken into at night, took 1 hour for police to arrive WHEN IRONICALLY THE CLARKSON POLICE STATION WAS 900M AWAY. and here you find out they're harrassing Performance vehicle owners shame

  9. i did a search for forum posts containing "IRC" and there seems to be requests dating back to 2005. anyway, the original #skylinesaustralia doesnt seem to be running, would anyone like me to host a SAU IRC channel?
  10. yeah, it certainly would and im a member of a few forums, such as PL, OCAU, ect... and they each have an IRC channel.
  11. i was wondering if SAU has or is going to get an IRC channel? if not can we organise one? BB
  12. my experience in driving on Western Australian roads has been most unpleasurable. in my first instance, i was on Reid Hwy, turning right into Nth Beach road. Behind me was an undercover white Ford police car, i could tell by the front lights and about 3 antennas at the back. so i was waiting about 10 mins for a clear gap (i was driving a Honda Accord), and i saw them getting sort of wrestless. anyway turning into nth beach road the limit is 60, with a school zone nearby. because i was first, the police car was behind me, and i sat dead on 60 the whole way (people usually do 80, its single lane). anyway i heard the sirens and saw the lights in my rear view mirrors. i thought i had done some thing wrong, i started to pull over, but the police car kept going, it flew past me. so i kept going at about 60, and up ahead near the traffic lights the police car was sitting there first at a red light WITHOUT sirens or lights, and was also turning, didnt indicate. did 50 through a school zone. and stopped at the gull petrol station.. ive got the numberplate details of that car... what can i do with it? my second experience THIS WEEK was riding my bike, in mt lawley area, i was on a roundabout and indicated with my right arm that i was turning. a marked holden police car pulled out infront of me, i grabbed the handles with two hands, and back breaks locked and (wet road) i skidded behind the car and onto the curb. this woman in the co drivers seat wound down the window and said i need to be more 'careful' SON OF A #^$@#^$$)%#@*&$%#@^$ when i get my skyline, its going to have a Bullbar on it.
  13. When i get my GTS33 (ive got my eyes on one, and possibly wallet too ) - i would like to do a DIY build a popout computer into the dash. the only issue is it runs on 16V DC. Is there some way i can get 16V DC out of the car/ciggarette lighter? thanks BB
  14. Our neighbour's Holden Missfires on cold starts, i remember chatting to him (because he works with those cr@p-mobiles) and he said it was either the distributer playing up or slack in the timing belt or chain - (which makes sense because if you have slack in the fan belt, the sound goes away after about 2 mins of running - or until you re-tension it).
  15. i think you would be looking in the Garrett T25 to T28 or GT25 to GT28 range, or possibly a KKR480
