  1. Just letting you guys know this is still on. Around 26 cars are coming so far
  2. Anyone willing to give me a lift? In return Ill take photos of your car. Ill go halves of petrol. Being on L-plates has its disadvantages....
  3. Pics of your car man? Im interested in buying a GTS25 in 8 months or so. They are quite rare. How much did you buy it for if I may ask? Anyways, just leave it stock man. Your driving a Skyline of P's so your already attracting attention. Police will molest you and any way they can, so leave it stock. RB25DEs arent that bad, the extra torque/revs over a 20 is well worth it.
  4. Good guys! So far we have around 13 cars coming. Need more skyline love

  6. My friend works for Autosalon, do you want me to pass it on to him? If so let me know some details and I can
  7. Ah man, I got work at 11am that day! I might come at 9 and take a few photos for an hour then leave.
  8. Wow, thanks guys you were a big help. Good thing I put that my friend was making it or else I wouldnt of known about the extra info. Thanks alot! Will post the final result of the gearknob for sure. Thanks again
  9. Yes, Ive searched everywhere on SAU and Google yet I cant find it. My friend is making me a gearknob at school and he needs the measurements to drill the hole. It should be like (example): 1.5cmx5.0cm P.s. it should be a R32 GTST Cheers!
  10. I knew somebody would say something like this. Did you even read my thread man? I already knew that it wasnt possible to deturbo a DET, I was just sharing my friend's theory to your guys to see what your point of view is. I had no intention to buy a DET and deturboing in the first place, I was just asking if my friends conversion would be plausable. PM coming your way now...
  11. Thanks for your replies, I will link this thread to him and see what he says for it. But seriously you guys have been very helpful . I guess Ill just wait for a good GTS (factory DE) to be on sale.
  12. Just as I thought, can be done but not really worth it. Yeah but I want a R32 N/A which in RB25 is quite a rare find. What do you think if I buy a RB25DE and drop it in a R32 GTST? Same story? Or more practical? Well he is good with engines etc, but if something does go wrong then Im in trouble. Haha are you serious? Man thats a big turn off lol. Thanks alot. Ah right, Ill ask him about the compression rate and see what he has to say for it. Im guessing this is when unreliability kicks in aye? Like I said above, what do think if I bought a RB25DE block and drop it in? Still not worth it? Legality is more important to me than anything else. I dont want to be driving on the edge of my seat everywhere I go. Ive heard that even if you do deturbo an engine/car its still classed as a turbo. Either if its true or not Ill have to heavily research to get a answer. Thanks alot guys, any more comments would be helpful.
  13. Just recently my friend has told me he can do RB conversions to N/A (non-turbo) in his own backyard. I personally thought it was not possible to N/A a turbo RB but my friend insists it can be done. I was quite interested so I asked him how it could be done and is it street legal/P Plate legal. Heres what his said: He said there are different ways of doing, he told me I'll have to block off the turbo lines (oil feed, water feed, and the returns), the air flow meter has to be relocated to a pipe that eventually runs off the throttle body, the exhaust, get a N/A manifold but he wasnt sure if it works with the factory exhaust. Turbo manifold, remove the turbo itself, and get a pipe made up to match the turbo manifold to the front pipe or he said I can modify the turbo itself and block the front of it. This is what he told me about it being legal: He know quite a few people running around in backyard N/A conversions with no trouble at all. He also said its 100% P Plate legal, as long as I can prove its non-turbo. I should just go to EPA or mechanic and get a certificate that its non-turbo. What do you guys think? So it can actually be done? Cheers.

  22. Hey guys, we have reduced the number of cars on the day to 5. So your car gets 1 hour of attention for the same price! Only 2 spots left....
  23. Hey Guys, Im going drifting at Eastern Creek on the wet Skid Pan (Twilight Drift) later this month. Just wanted to know any tips as such for a first timer. The car that I will be going sideways in is either a R32 RB25DET or a R32 RB25DE. It'll most probably be the boosted 32. As being on a wet surface, I dont think I will be touching the handbrake too often. From what Im guessing, I'll just be abit aggressive with the steering? Another thing is stalling the car... Thanks! Sorry, Im pretty eager to get it right and not make a fool of myself.
