  1. yeah ill wire it in and leave it, take it to a dyno not far from here, he can run it, ill do the tweaking...hes good at what he does if you have an xr6 turb, then ill head down to adel soon and get the timing and tuned touched up a little to suit. thanks guys help is extremely appreciated, it may take a little while but ill keep ya posted. pullin 260rwkw is fun but with better response its going to be an animal compared to what it is now.
  2. SO after a little research, it seems a nos switch will be the way to do this. and i fitting it myself shouldnt be a drama(once i know what pin does what on the solenoid) can the tach signal just be picked up from the ecu? my car has recently been tuned will it need to be retuned? also what rpm range should it be set on? i know it should activate the solenoid just after touching the throttle(98%sure) and off at around 4000-4500 rpm, is this right? when my vct was connected the solenoid was really loud, like a clicking sound, normal or fecked?
  3. mine comes on around 3000rpm and is on fairly well by around 4000rpm but when it comes on it comes on hard as hell. i was originally going to one tuner and they screwed me big time and i went to morpowa instead. simon was great, sorted everything out but the vct was an issue never sorted by the guy actually fitting the nistune itself. i will speak to them tomorrow and get this sorted, hopefully its the issue. i thought this could have something to do with it. any idea on connections with either a vtec controller*shudders* or nitrous window switch, i have no idea about where anything with the vct is? ive seen alot of cheap controllers on ebay but there all pre programmed and i dont know what rpm to have them set at until its tuned...nitrous switch it is i think!
  4. hey man, cheers will send one off now!
  5. Hi guys just wondering if anyone has had this issue: after blowing the exhaust wheel off the back of my factory turbo, i have now fitted a hi flow factory job. the housings were both brand new and has a genuine garret 30 71 or 76 core, cant remember now its been a while. fuel upgrade, rb20 ecu-with nistune, z32 afm, fmic, 3 inch turbo back and is makin 255rwkw at 16psi. BUT its coming onto boost ALOT later im talkin maybe 1000-1200rpm later. its not a massive turbo, i had it tuned at morpowa and they weren't sure why it would be doing it either. has anyone here experinced the same thing? also with the rb20 ecu the vct is no longer playing a part, is there something i am supposed to do with the electronics for the vct? ground it or switch it to one position or the other? as far as im aware this hasnt been done? any clues on what to do? im happy with the power but would love it on a little earlier help will be much appreciated! thanks
  6. i think the early 32 gtr had the same size rotors as the 33 gtst (296mm), i want the 324mm 33/34 gtr discs with either the 33 gtst caliper spaced out or a 33 gtr caliper if i can find some needing a rebuild!
  7. if someone is selling 33 gtr brembo's for $350 then thats exactly what ill do, but ive been seeing gtst calipers in the $500 + range...not liking my chances! Did you get 33 gtr calipers or the early model 32 gtr calipers? quite a size difference i believe ?
  8. yeah i looked into all of this fairly recently, most places set not to bother, i ended up replacing the suspension bushes through out and that made quite a difference even though the factory bushes were still in a reasonable condition! not sure if thats much help, but no point spending hundreds on products that do very little! my 2C
  9. you can also get auto bleed nipples made by russell. get onto the rocket industries site and get the right part number, most nissans are 10mm x 1.0 mine were about 35mm long but yours maybe a different length-to long is better than to short though! i have a set for my gtst brakes and they make life alot easier when it comes to bleeding! i paid around $17 a set from memory. These are the ones i used. http://shop.rocketindustries.com.au/products/RU639560
  10. Im after some brake caliper adapters for my 33 gtst Going to go with slotted gtr rotors under the standard caliper. I found these: But i would rather pay less than $350 a pair if i can. i saw some others on an ignition dvd once but ive forgotten the brand of them. anyone else know of some other examples? thanks guys!

  15. oh ok, well i was told no, but if i can ring the wanka that done it today ill find out thanks mate
  16. no, but with the z32 afm, it should at least fire, and then stall out, its not firing at all
  17. nope, rb20 ecu should run a rb25 without mods, but just wont run well. Im thinkin maybe something went wrong while loading up the map!
  18. People were saying there was 2 wires you had to swap but on the inside of the ecu these are connected any way. Also the ecu was meant to have a safe map loaded in to suit the new injectors and the z32 afm...but after all the stuff arounds ive been getting, i''m starting to think they possibly skipped this step. every sensor is back in place, the car ran fine a week ago but now nothing. thanks for the help, bring on anymore!
  19. Hi, have a series one r33 gtst have just fitted a z32 afm, a rb20 ecu with nistune board. The car has fuel at the injectors, brand new splitfire coilpacks, brand new plugs and cranks over fine, it will just not fire. Now i Know the ecu is a direct fit BUT the VCT sensor is no longer in use, do i need to earth this to bypass it? What else can i check? i have been over every sensor...this car was also running a week ago! any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys!
  20. i have just thrown n brand new injectors that fit the rb25 fuel rail no probs. will this rail suit basically standard injectors?and fit with the genuine greddy plenum?
  21. you can plumb these back with an adapter quite easily, i have one of these, no leaks def seems genuine!
  22. hey, i have done alot of searching and can't seem to find what im looking for. i need to get a speed flow fitting adapter to replace the banjo bolt on the engine for the turbo, coolant return. does anybody know the thread size in the block where adapter has to screw into? thanks!
  23. Have an r33 gtst rb25det obviously! i need some info on who does good braided line kits, with both feeds and both drains, preferably with speed flow fittings. Also what size thread is in the coolant return on the block as i need a hi flow fitting to suit?! thanks!
  24. Hey guys, need an ecu from an rb20 r32 for a remap, need one of these asap! PM me thanks!
